It was a great getaway!

Un hôtel génial. Propre et accueillant dans un excellent emplacement - avec des chambres avec vue sur la mer. Un superbe bar sur le toit et un personnel sympathique et courtois qui, avant tout, est efficace. Le restaurant est effectivement très bon mais il se situe au bout des restaurants les plus chers de la ville. Le tarif de la chambre n’est pas bon marché, mais ici l’argument « vous en avez pour votre argent » tient la route. Si nous retournons à Thessalonique, ce sera une décision difficile de ne pas y retourner.

Tous les hôtels cinq étoiles ne sont pas égaux. Cette vérité était évidente dès l’instant où je suis entré dans l’hôtel. Le parking coûtera 20 euros par nuit. Alternatives ? Aucune idée (il s'est avéré que vous pouvez vous garer à trois pâtés de maisons pour moins de 10 euros la nuit en fonction de l'heure de départ le lendemain). Surclas*****t de chambre - impossible - je comprends que ce n'est pas toujours possible mais la livraison par le personnel est très importante. La chambre - ok - rien d'extraordinaire (la douche fuyait du haut - quand je l'ai mentionné en partant, personne ne semblait s'en soucier - ce qui résumait à peu près mon séjour). La vue, depuis l'arrière de l'hôtel, ne vaut pas son prix. Le petit déjeuner - passable. Dans l’ensemble, est-ce que j’y retournerais ? Honnêtement non, je chercherais certainement ailleurs.

As a customer for years of other hotels belonging to the TOR hotel group, I was curious to experience the newest addition of a luxury city hotel and booked it for an overnight stay on business in Thessaloniki. I was not disappointed and frankly I am looking forward to staying there again! The hotel is within an old building, which used to be the prestigious and historical Olympos-Naousa restaurant. The building has been wonderfully refurbished and on top of it, a new extension has been seamlessly incorporated. The hotel inside and outside has a lot of character with understated luxury, oozing an air of 'old money', in that everything in there is of high quality and has character, without anything being glitzy or tacky (as it can often be in luxury hotels). I was upgraded to a junior suite with seaview, which was really lovely! The room was very big, with a very comfortable bed and a great view of the old port and the sea. Great for people watching and boat spotting! Everything in the room, the linen, furniture and furnishings were properly thought out and felt luxurious. The bathroom was big with an excellent rain shower and luxury amenities. Everything is in beige and grey tones with white linen, which create a calm atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely, in the space of the old Olympos-Naousa restaurant, with the original floor and high ceiling, yet it felt warm and intimate. Most of the food was freshly prepared and there were numerous options to order from, along with a buffet consisting mostly of dairy products, pastries and cereal. Everything was included in the price of the stay, as it should be for a luxury hotel. The waiters were very efficient and polite. What I found surprising, is that there is no lobby area, as such. You enter the building and there is one small reception desk and two elevators at the back, and that is it; left and right of the reception desk is a bar and a restaurant, so there is nowhere to sit if let's say you are waiting for someone. It was not a problem for me, but it was very different from most luxury hotels which usually showcase themselves through plush and luxurious lobby areas. One thing I would recommend to other travellers is that if you stay in a room facing the sea, consider having earplugs with you. Even though there is double-glazing, the noise from the traffic and bars goes late into the night, so if you are used to sleeping in complete quiet, you might struggle. I am already planning my next stay to ON Residence, hopefully with the family!

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. All public spaces and rooms are equipped to the highest standards with great care for details and design. They must have spend a lot of money into the restoration project and you will see and feel the positive impact. Location is also excellent, right in the middle of town on Leof. Nikkis on the waterfront overlooking the bay. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We had booked a one night stay through SLH and at check in we were given an upgrade from a Deluxe Seafront Room with balcony to a Junior Suite on the second floor. This upgrade turned out to be a great mistake. The room itself was really nice and spacious and the view was amazing. Unfortunately they had a private party going on at the ground floor bar right below our room that particular night. When we returned around 11 pm after dinner there was so much noise that I couldn’t sleep even with earplugs. We called front desk and asked to be moved to a higher floor. Since all floors from 3 upwards are newly built on top of the original building I assumed that they are somewhat less prone to noise. Unfortunately they were completely booked that night and the only solution was to move us to a bigger suite on the second floor but away from the bar. So we grabbed our stuff in the middle of the night and moved. Less noise in the new room but needless to say that this whole experience ruined my sleep that night. Staff was apologetic in the morning and we were invited for lunch. That was greatly appreciated. I would have given 5 stars if the noise issue had not occurred. My advice to management: do not rent rooms on the first or second floor if you have such an event going on.

Absolutely amazing stay. Hotel is beyond words to describe. All staff is extremely professional and very helpful. Food is excellent. We experienced the most enjoyable stay and definitely will be back very soon!
