Good weekend away with the misses, walks were good and we feel very relaxed after spending 3 nights there. Service is bad most the time but probs a good thing because you get out more to enjoy the surrounding nature. Can’t comment on the water becaus it was very cold

It is with great disappoin**ent that I write this email. We arrived on Friday 30/11/23 in anticipation to celebrating a wonderful wedding anniversary at Lake Crackenback Resort and spa. As we had changed our original booking ( due to the passing of family member) we were grateful to re scheduled to 30/11/23- 03/12/23 As no refund for the price difference for the changed accomodation was available, we had a room credit of $290 which we were told could be enjoyed at the resort. A few days before check in we were advised via email that all water sports activities were no longer available as per advertised brochure due to routine maintenance. Disappointed but accepted. Afternoon Check in was fine, friendly staff. After unpacking made our way to the pool then dinner at Larder restaurant. We were told at reception that Cuisine restaurant was booked out for an event (Porsche Club) on 30/11 and 01/12 so we resorted to Lardner to use some of our room credit. Unfortunately all advertised meals on menu at Larder were not available so ordered caesar salad. Asked if chicken could be added. The only alternative was chicken cubes?? I declined Chef’s suggestion. Very poor meal. Returned to room disappointed. 01/12- Awoke to do laps in the pool ( it was pouring with rain) tried to swipe the card to no avail. Although the card worked yesterday it failed to let us in after 8am opening hours. We Phoned reception and was told by female ( I think her name was Bobbi) there had been problems with swiping and battery either needed to be changed or had been changed? Could I walk to the office. I explained its pouring and she said she could not come down as she was the only one working and no maintenance on offer to help. Very frustrated to locked out of swimming and gym facility . Returned to our room to find that neither TV was working so we went for breakfast and enjoyed our inclusive breakfast at Cuisine which was very appetising and delicious. During breakfast we overheard a couple confirming their dinner booking for that evening. We asked if the restaurant was open as we had been told the previous day that it was closed. Confused, we made our reservation for later that evening. As we were trying to think of ways to use up our credit we went to the spa and wellness office to book in. Unfortunately they were fully booked with only one morning available, 9am on the Sunday of our departure. We booked regardless. We returned to our room to again find the TV's not working. We phoned reception to report. We were told someone will be down shortly. Waited 30 minutes in our room and phoned again. Was told someone had been to our room to fix the problem. As we had not left our room we knew this information not to be true. Receptionist replied "oh I thought they had been" After a couple of hours we again phoned reception to ask an update. Was told that cable had been accidently cut and will be out for another hour or so. A short time later w

A fantastic location, and luckily for us, brilliant weather. Although the outside of our lakeside accommodation looked a little tired, our inside accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable. The resort activities were great and the kids had a great time. A little overpriced for what it was, but the location and activities made up for kids not sitting on devices. The buffet breakfast was great although for a resort, staff grooming and customer interactions could do with some minor improvements. Overall a great stay.

Loved our five day stay here recently. great location and so peaceful and tranquil. Stayed in a lovely chalet on the lake. Watched the ducks and platypus, did some beautiful walks around resort and ate some lovely food in the the two restaurants on site. Very close to ski tube to Perisher if you are a skier and only 30 kms to Kozsiosko NP to Thredbo ski fields and village. Chalets were very spacious and had a nice touch with underfloor heating in bathrooms and kitchen which were very welcome on the chilly mornings. Would definitely recommend a stay here and would come back for another visit in the future.

We paid for a deluxe mountain studio. These are part of a larger chalet and generally share lobby and dry store/laundry. We've stayed in 5 now ranging from Little Thredbo Lane to Bullocks Drive and Stockwhip Way We love the deluxe mountain studio, they have been very mixed, some with bathtubs, some with gas fireplaces, some with wood fireplaces. All of them have had wonderful views. Apart from the most recent.  As advertised mountain view it was disappointing to find a view of the bush behind our studio. We had no windows facing Ramshead range. As LCR was booked out, the manager on duty could do nothing.  As always we were told to request specifics for the studio, we have done this in the past but nothing is guaranteed or acknowledged Our fireplace was gas not wood which was another huge disappoin**ent. No bathtub in this studio which lead to another disappoin**ent. There was no ski storage or dry room for this studio either  I'll list the good things Wifi - albeit slow (not guaranteed in all rooms)  Heated bathroom flooring - double rainfall showerheads and double vanity (great for couples staying in this studio) Personal laundry (washer&dryer with soap) Loads of storage Dishwasher  Undercover parking Bbq outside on deck More modern than some of the studios Tv with HDMI (not many channels and not a smart tv) We were in 11 Bullocks Drive, right by the bridge to drive to the ski tube, traffic was hit and miss.  While there are good features, we stay LCR for the range view and wood fireplaces. Separate to the room we had a couples massage, we do this every stay and love the experience. It started badly, the ladies were 10 minutes behind (which was not made up for at the end) We were scheduled in for a 90 minute relaxation massage, the concern came when one of the therapist asked who is getting a remedial massage. Neither of us enjoy hard massages let alone a remedial massage. We were then separated, my husband got the whole couple trea**ent room to himself and I was put in another room  Unfortunately my massage was geared more towards remedial with a focus on my hips and legs. I did protest when it hurt however I was ignored. It wasn't relaxing or enjoyable. There was a lot of talking which is odd for relaxation massages.  Hubby's massage was good thankfully. Being our 5th here we have built expectations for an incredible stay and each time has been amazing, just not this time. P.S Potentially as a suggestion, change your room types (descriptions) perhaps one being 'Valley Range Mountain' & 'Superior Mountain View'

Our family of 4 booked 2bd apar**ent no. 46 The GOOD * the location and surrounding nature * the fire place * Kelly and Isabella at the Spa - they were wonderful and accommodating. Both my daughter and I enjoyed our massages. * Block out curtains * spacious for a family of four The BAD * a constant humming noise at our bedhead - very annoying coupled with old wall heater issue * The old wall heater in main bedroom had a loud clunking noise when set to 20 degrees. The noise woke me up in the middle of the night for 3 consecutive nights. On the last night - turned the heater right down below 15 degrees and I did not hear the clunking noise and had much better sleep. * the main bedroom mattress was hard, the sheets were not soft but starchy * the second bedroom with two singles, the mattresses lacked back support, your whole body would sink in it. * No wifi and poor internet reception The OK * the apar**ent is dated, the laminate on one of the kitchen benches had an exposed area. Needs replacing! * the TVs were small, it would probably be best not have them at all or have one good one in the living area.. We brought our own devices and never used the TVs. * Self contained, there were more knives than forks * Overall, it’s ok but would not go back this apar**ent and was a little disappointed.

We booked a 2 bedroom apar**ent on the lake. We were very happy with the room. We enjoyed all the activities and had a go at everything apart from the pool. The golf course is excellent for families and kids learning to play golf. We hired bikes on one day. Myself, hubby and the teenage boys had not ridden a bike for years. We really enjoyed this too and the staff were so helpful at the activity centre. However, just as we were riding off, the segway lady who runs the segway tours who had an accent was quite rude to my kids. They were waiting to join the road with us on our bikes as a car was coming down the road. She rudely told my kids not to take up the whole road. Could she not see we were on hired biked and had just gotten them? We were separated on either side of the road area about to join the main road to heard towards the lake near the cafe when this happened. We were not moving on the bikes but waiting to join the road when it was safe to do so. My youngest was so unsure already on riding a bike and her comment was so unnecessary. She had plenty of room to do what she needed to do and we were all pulled over to either side of the roadway area. No one was prohibiting her nor did we get in her way. Shame she was not there to witness him fall off the bike 5 minutes later, she might have rethought her nasty uncalled for comment. We saw her again the next couple of days when we were playing golf and she rudely glared at us again for no reason ( I guessed she remembered us). This staff member needs to learn manners and how to be nice to customers. We decided not to do the segway tour because of her rudeness. All other staff we encountered were very nice and super helpful. The bushwalks were great and the disc golf was fun too. Breakfast was excellent, the facilities were fun and we got out of it what we needed. a restful holiday to reconnect with one anther. Our only comments to improve it is, get people to sign out the tennis balls and racquets and sign them back in. We found people were keeping the racquets in their rooms for long periods and not handing them back in. This was frustrating for us and so often no one was on the courts and there were no racquets to use. Also the day trippers who paid money to stay, took over the canoes, courts and facilities alot too. It was at times hard to get equipment when we had paid to stay their. At times we watched and wondered if people had actually paid the fee to use the gear. Totally understand you need to make money but perhaps make them wear a wrist band for the day and give us who are staying there something like this too. Just an idea to ensure paid and staying guests can use the facilities more efficiently. Don't want to dwell on the negatives, so moving on to more positives. We cooked most nights in our apar**ent so do a shop and bring your own food to save time and money. It was such an overall fantastic time for us all to read a book, do some exerc

For a very special occasion we thought we’d splurge on what we considered to be top of the line, and have to say although a stunning location very disappointed with a tired venue with lots of problems and as a result spent most of the time away from the venue.

Second time staying at LCR this year We have stayed 4 times in the past years and each time we are in a new studio. Little Thredbo Lane, Bullocks Drive and recently Stockwhip Way Stockwhip was the best. Furniture modern and not in need of a facelift. Chalet was fairly new, beautiful appliances, jet tub in the bathroom, heated floors, separate garage and drying room (not shared with the main chalet) Wood fireplace. Amazing view (not of the main range) but of the roos, deer and bunnies! Each morning we had roos out the back of our room. The decor in the room was beautiful and included wifi! (Very uncommon at LCR) As it is Spring, Cuisine dinner dining was closed but Alpine Larder was open. I have to complain about the breakfast hash browns!! Stop using potato scallops (or potato cakes) just use good ol deep fried hash browns. The staff aren't as friendly in the hospitality areas but reception and the spa (and Harrows!) are very welcoming and lovely. Always recommend LCR as the convenience of the skitube is the best
