Had a good stay at the hotel. Breakfast is cooked fresh and plenty of variety (even for gluten free). Rooms are warm, very clean, fresh white towels each day, lots of hot water. Showers could do with a bit of updating but adequate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This was our second visit and would stay again if back in Chepstow..

Very welcoming to myself and Spaniel 'Duke,' I was supposed to only take him for a walk but Fuke pulled to go in and I noticed Pizza so went on. Very friendly regulars and Duke enjoyed the attention and I particularly enjoyed the pizza! As architecture is my 'thjng' I admired the building which I guess must have been a coaching inn at sometime and also the friendly vibe. And thanks for being Dog friendly- he enjoyed it!

Not too impressed, bed uncomfortable, absolutely no pressure in the shower, bathroom door does not fully open and no fan. Breakfast just ok, carpets leading to rooms old and tatty. Room is passable but not as marketing shows. Not great value. Staff lovely, bar area and reception areas inviting.

We stayed at the Beaufort for a bank holiday night out. Fab location, decent clean room and fab welcome. The evening/night landlord is a lovely guy and really welcoming. Even when we returned late very drunk - he was brill! We didn't wake in time for breakfast so can't comment on that. We had a top floor room which was clean and decent. Very good value for money and we'll definitely return :)

The hotel was very busy and the staff were very stretched, however they were cheerful and helpful. We booked two rooms, a twin room that was on the second floor. The communal areas, passages and stairwell was tired and smelt musty. The room was a good size, and could have been cleaner. The sink showed signs of the previous inhabitants. The ensuite bathroom was so small that when seated on the toilet your knees were jammed against the door. We also ordered a double room. This was on the ground floor, and were directed outside to the carpark to get to it . The back of the hotel has a covered area where smokers congregate, and it was very loud until fairly late. Just by this was our door, with our bedroom window looking out at the carpark at ground level. The room was a fair size and clean, however the bathroom had a very sewery smell that didn't go away. The bed was very uncomfortable with pillows like stone. The room price included breakfast which was plentiful and tasty.

Called in for Breakfast whilst in Chepstow best breakfast I have had in a long time excellent value for money and very friendly staff well worth a visit breakfast was very tasty and hot and the pint of Doom bar was spot on 10/10 for food and service will definitely be back

While planning a visit to Tintern Abbey, I selected this hotel because of the easy location in the center of town and the good online reviews from other visitors; and am so glad I stayed here. Charming, friendly and welcoming hotel, with lovely artwork of local scenes on the walls in the stairways and dining room. I felt very comfortable in my room, with coffee/tea/hot chocolate and everything I needed. I had breakfast in the dining room, with friendly staff and a cheerful atmosphere.

Free parking at the rear of the building. Outside seating at the ftont and rear of the premises. Rooms are exquisite. Excellent hospitality from all staff especially the young lady Liz. Would definitely recommend

Manager was friendly on arrival, but our room didn't look anything like the rooms on the website. The furniture was old and the carpet worn. Corridors and room smelt fusty. There was a loo roll holding the window in the bathroom open. The tea making facilities were very basic at best eg no teaspoon. There were disposable plastic 'glasses' in he bathroom. As we left staff were chatting to each other, and didn't stop to take the key. I wondered whether we were charged the same for this as the lovely room on the website I thought I was getting. We were very disappointed. Airbnb the following night felt much better value and more relaxing for the same price. Thank you for the fan in our room though, it was very hot when we visited and we and our dog needed the fan all night.
