Shellow Lane Lodges

Stayed for two nights. Lodge not ready until 5pm as still being cleaned. Bathroom stank of drains, could not use it but was another en-suite which was fine. Fridge did not work, informed cleaning lady who said she was aware but could not fix it. She brought the desk top fridge from the on site shop which was a fix but not ideal! I wouldn’t stay here again, the lodges are in need of updating (especially the couches) and a good deep clean (windows) it’s generally a bit tired. One positive of the whole stay was the cleaning lady who worked hard and was super helpful and very nice.

I'm the worse person when it comes to staying at places away from home especially when u pay good money and trust when they say it's spotless that it actually is.. 9 out of 10 of my experiences have been far from spotless, but I can actually say Shellow lane lodges met all my expectations it was immaculate Credit to the cleaner/cleaners Soon as u walked in u could smell the freshness and the cleanliness of the place I couldn't wait to check out each room, I was like the programme four in a bed ( I did say I'm the worse)🫣 Honestly it was immaculate,Kim n Aggie would've been proud.😄 The ONLY fault we had was with the internet, the router kept stopping n starting and when we did have it just kept reloading and was really choppy. As my husband had to work online while we were there we had to leave a day early because of it. If this could be fixed I would give this place 5 stars I'm already booked in for next year and hoping by then it's sorted as it's vital to his just job he's able to have a good internet connection.

Stayed in Horthorne Lodge for a couple of nights as I was in Congleton for a wedding. The lodge itself was roomy however on entering there was an immediate smell of drains throughout the property and worse in the main bathroom. The beds were actually very comfy and I slept well however the lodge is really in need of some TLC and unfortunately the drain smell really soured the time we spent there.

1 night stay as a small group. Accommodation was lovely, we stayed in the Maple Lodge. Very spacious and clean. Fully equip kitchen with a small shop next to it selling all sorts. Beds conferable/all bedding included. Towels not provided so take your own. Also had outdoor seating area with hot tub. Would defiantly stay again. Only reason I haven’t given it a 5* is because the hot water for showers/baths ran out fairly quickly and the en-suite shower only has a little glass screen so the bathroom floor was soaking wet through and puddles everywhere.

Tranquil, clean, spacious & airy! Ideal for away with family, meeting half way or just getting away for the weekend! Plenty of space, wood burner, to, wide deep bath, comfortable bed with clean, crisp bedding! Don’t forget your slippers, towels & bubble bath! There’s a fridge for your milk, juice and other refreshments you’ll need to bring Free Wi-Fi too, so play your tunes as you’re cooking up dinner in the large kitchen, complete with velux windows…. Plenty of light and privacy The hot tub is available however we didn’t stay long enough to sample it. Ideal for all the family to stay if you want to be within walking distance of the in laws Small store on site which provides bare essentials with an Honesty Box!

I can't fault the accomodation but had I known my lodge was next to an intercity Railtrack I would have bought my earplugs. In fairness it didn't bother anyone else in my group but as a light sleeper it did you affect my sleep quality. I also wish it highlighted that you need to bring your own towels but luckily we were reminded before we left. The accomodation was spacious clean and really good.

Great location nice clean modern lodge hot tub clean and upto temperature for when we arrived at 6pm any questions we needed answers done promptly, 10 min drive to town so even a Uber or taxi is cheap.

Great find as a place to stay for a family event. Clean, with comfy beds and plenty of space for all of us. Our daughter and son in law said it was the comfiest bed they’d experienced in a hotel/holiday accommodation. The lodge felt cosy - even when snowing outside. We’d definitely return. Things to tweak - needed a bit more crockery (few more cups), hot water ran out when everyone showering in the morning and the wet room shower- amazing to look at- was quite hard to ensure the water did not go everywhere (maybe we are splashy showerers?!) we could have done with a mop!

My daughter booked one of the lodges over 2 months ago for her and a group of friends to celebrate a special birthday. Unfortunately about 4 hours before check in they cancelled on them said they’d overbooked! Absolutely disgusting behaviour, what if they were already on their way? To leave it that late is beyond me, Tried to ring numerous times but they failed to answer and when they did finally answer, gave a pathetic excuse they’d overbooked ! Shocking customer services and thankfully they managed to find somewhere last minute thanks to us which was 100 times better with a 💯 communication and far better facilities and lodges
