Gainsboro

We have just had a week's holiday at the Gainsborough. Returning home 15th sep 2023. Richard, and ***nor are lovely people, who displays friendliness, and charm. Their B&B is absolutly beautifull. It is spotless, and the decor is a credit to them. Our room was situated at the front, and had tea/coffee facilities. The bed was amazing, lovely and comfy, and spotless. I would not hesitate recommending anyone to visit this B& B You will certainly get a very warm welcome. Oh, and by the way, the Breakfast was cooked by Richard, and was spot on, red hot. The garden at the front was beatifull. It is definitely worth 5 stars .Well done Richard and ***nor. Hope to see you again next year, God willing. Oh, and the train station and sea front are 3/4minutes from the Guest house.

Ideal location for Torquay town centre, there is parking at the b&b, the accommodation is well maintained, lovely & clean, Richard & Gaynor we’re excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend staying at this b&b when visiting Torquay

The owners Gaynor and Richard are warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, the guest house is clean, fresh and well presented. Breakfast was hot and delicious, we would not think twice about a return visit x

I have stayed at this Guest House twice and it is a pleasure to stay. As a party of 4 we had 2 rooms. We couldn't find fault in either room, and last year was no different. The beds are comfortable and there is also a tea and coffee available in the room. The location is great, close to the train station and only a short walk to Torquay centre. There is also the beautiful village of Cockington a nice leisurely stroll away. Breakfast can't be faulted, one of the best I have ever had whilst staying in a hotel. Cooked for when you are ready and served hot each day. The hosts Richard and Gaynor are very pleasant and attentive. I had to change my plans a couple of times and they were very helpful to us in doing this even at short notice. I can highly recommend staying at this beautiful Guest House. Staying in the second room was also a lovely experience, the room was clean when we arrived and was stocked with things such as blankets, shampoo, bodywash, and a hairdryer; we were able to get any extra items such as towels quite easily. The wi-fi and signal was also great which made the stay even more pleasurable. Furthermore the breakfast service was lovely to have and had a great range of choices which you could choose between pre-meal each day.

Highly Recommended, we had a wonderful relaxed and comfortable stay in this Beautiful B&B in Torquay. Wonderful stay @ Gainsboro Torquay. Excellent accommodation, perfect location, fantastic hosts. Highly recommend for a stay in Torquay. Easy access to town/ Harbour area, great places to eat,drink & wander around. Many thanks ***nor & Richard

Our 2nd visit to the Gainsboro, Fabulous room ,with lovely friendly hosts Gaynor & Richard, pretty garden & parking. A short 15 minutes walk to Torquay Harbour along the seafront 😎. We are chilled out & We hope to be back again soon.

Stayed a couple of nights. Richard & gaynor are a lovely couple. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms are spotless and upto date . Highly recommended. We will definitely return soon! David and Shelley Sherwood xxx

There are 2 good sized rooms with plenty of space. If are looking for a homey, clean environment, gainsboro bed and breakfast is the place for you. Good, prompt service, good size rooms for a family. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
