Motel Torrey

Motel Torrey is a gem. Cute, quaint, clean, comfortable. We didn’t interact directly with management, door code was sent upon confirming the reservation, which worked great. We enjoyed sitting outside in brightly painted classic lawn chairs, taking in the beautiful evening and chatting with fellow guests. The only small issues were that the GFCI outlet by the sink popped when a hairdryer was used, and wouldn’t reset, and the ice machine wasn’t working. No big deal. They provided complimentary coffee mugs, which was nice. I’d go out of my way to stay there again.

Basic, clean accommodations that felt safe and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. We are very budget conscious, and of the 7 places we stayed in Utah, this was most what we wanted - clean/basic/comfortable and good value. Good shower pressure. Nothing fancy but we weren't looking for fancy - we just wanted a clean, pleasant place to sleep and rest and shower. I wish that there was a Hotel Torrey every place we visited in Utah!

Wow this place is clean. Kind owners and very helpful! Everything about our stay was perfect. Great motel room- clean, comfortable, extra amenities such as soap and hot chocolate/coffee! Easy code check in! Highly recommend! When not much was open this place saved us! And it was far above our expectations w a good fair price!

Our room was *very* clean and the bed comfortable. The online listing was accurate. Check in and check out were easy. Internet was sluggish at night, but all of us hikers probably descended on our rooms at the same time. Forgot to take pics of the room, but it was somewhat more modern and neutral than the purple and blue pictured on Trip Advisor. Looked as if the floors and bathrooms had been updated. Torrey is a perfect place to stay to see Capitol Reef, and the Torrey Motel was quiet and convenient. If you have the opportunity, take the extra half hour to drive from Bryce to Torrey by Scenic Highway 12--it's absolutely breath-taking! Also, the General Store has friendly staff and fantastic desserts and breakfast. The Capitol Burger truck beside it really does have burgers that are worth standing in line for!

This hotel was in the middle of a two-week trip of various hotels and was, as I recall, the most comfortable night's sleep we had. Good mattress and pillows. I was traveling with my husband; we stayed only the one night. The rooms were big enough and had clean bathrooms; I don't need much more than that. There is a Mexican restaurant called Chak Balam Mexican across the road that I can also recommend. Very authentic food.

Motel Torrey was just what we needed after a beautiful Fall drive over Highway 12 and then a hike at Capitol Reef. Our room was super clean, spacious, and quiet. Appreciated having an electric tea kettle and fridge. The bed was super comfy too. Thanks for promptly responding to my texts as well!

Motel Torrey sits in a beautiful and convenient location. The room is spacious, squeaky clean and well equipped. The beds are so comfy and water pressure in shower is fantastic! Love the hassle free reservation, checkin/checkout experience.

This little motel was SUPER clean. Beds and pillows were some of the best I've slept on away from home. (This includes the big chains, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.) Easy check in and check out. A great place to stay when visiting Capital Reef, Fruita and other pla es north of Bryce Canyon National Park.

Clean and renovated room. Highly recommend for an easy basic no frills place to sleep that's close to Capitol Reef National Park. All self service, but there's an informative book in the room about the property and surrounding area.
