We have been coming to this Hotel and it’s sister Hotel (Hotel Continentale) for many years, unfortunately our 4 nights stay on this occasion was so very disappointing. Understand new owners approx. 2 years now, and it is as if they have only just taken over the business; insufficient and lack of food in Breakfast, new staff that appear confused as to what to do, very little guidance by experienced staff (would even suggest some long standing staff is part of problem and not solution). New owners need to be serious about these two beautiful Hotels or risk the value of their inves**ent. Examples: - asked why Wi-Fi was intermittent, they shrugged their shoulders, they know of this issue as confirmed by some staff, but front of house showed no concern - one morning for breakfast, asked for items on the menu, and head wait person said that due to coming late, they’d run out ! - next day at 8am, asked for items on menu, and this time, sorry don’t have it! - had to ask 3 times to have room cleaned and they kept saying yes, but kept forgetting!! - asked maintenance to shower, and quick yes, “we’ll send someone, no one attended. Front of house tells you what you want to hear, but simply do not act. On this stay, staff not truly engaging or warm in their genuine desire to have you there. I would hope the owners take note and get this Hotel to its previous welcoming, warm and friendly Hotel.
