Palace Suite

Great location (though I regretted not booking the Hilton doubletree around the corner). Feels more like an Airbnb serviced by a hotel. Checkin process was confusing (had to go to a different hotel - hotel said we got instructions but we checked and had nothing from them). We got great restaurant recommendations from the front desk attendant. The coffee in the room is not free - they charge a euro for each capsule. Who does that these days? We paid for breakfast as part of our stay. Breakfast was ok but very weak compared to most places at this price we have stayed at. The coffee (as per of breakfast) was wonderful. Parking was cumbersome - we had to park in a nearby garage which was a good 10 minute walk away. Overall a solid experience but we expected more given price and alternatives in Trieste. Trieste itself was marvelous especially miramare castle

We stayed in one of the apar**ents of the hotel, situated in a heart of Trieste. The duplex was spacious, stylishly decorated and fully equipped with all the required amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Trieste.

We had some issues getting to the hotel due to the very slow passport control at Trieste airport and so turned up about 12:30 in the morning. Once we found the hotel we rang the bell several times and did not notice the sign stating that if closed go to the Intercontinental on the other side of the pedestrian area. The receptionist came across and guided us to the other hotel where we booked in and then he came across, showed us the key to get in and up to the lift where we went up to our suite. The suite was a good size with a microwave, fridge, kettle, pots and pans etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the room was quiet so we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast is in the other hotels' restaurant but it is less than a minute to walk across to it. Breakfast choice was not great - you have to choose your breakfast from a menu and it would have been better to have a buffet type. The hotel was quite expansive and I did not feel that it was worth the cost.

One of the best hotel experiences I ever had(if not the best). It is all about hospitality and friendly service from the people working there. Big thank you to Marta and Maria from the front desk. They made my stay. Thank you. Indeed. Strongly recommend,

The suite/building is recently renovated and in great conditions. Rooms are clean and all equipment is working. Location is perfect for enjoying central Trieste. Rooms have dishwasher/stove/washing machine/fridge as well a mini kitchen. Breakfast is also available and was very good quality, however, got quite busy later in the morning (earlier times are going to have faster service).

My wife and I, and our adult daughter, just stayed at the Palace Suite and had a wonderful stay. We loved the location; near to everything, but still felt a bit away from the tourists (even though we were tourists ourselves!). The staff was very friendly and helpful, including helping us make a dinner reservation on a night we had not planned properly. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed. We had an issue getting the TV to work properly, but that did not hamper our enjoyment at all.

We have been coming to this Hotel and it’s sister Hotel (Hotel Continentale) for many years, unfortunately our 4 nights stay on this occasion was so very disappointing. Understand new owners approx. 2 years now, and it is as if they have only just taken over the business; insufficient and lack of food in Breakfast, new staff that appear confused as to what to do, very little guidance by experienced staff (would even suggest some long standing staff is part of problem and not solution). New owners need to be serious about these two beautiful Hotels or risk the value of their inves**ent. Examples: - asked why Wi-Fi was intermittent, they shrugged their shoulders, they know of this issue as confirmed by some staff, but front of house showed no concern - one morning for breakfast, asked for items on the menu, and head wait person said that due to coming late, they’d run out ! - next day at 8am, asked for items on menu, and this time, sorry don’t have it! - had to ask 3 times to have room cleaned and they kept saying yes, but kept forgetting!! - asked maintenance to shower, and quick yes, “we’ll send someone, no one attended. Front of house tells you what you want to hear, but simply do not act. On this stay, staff not truly engaging or warm in their genuine desire to have you there. I would hope the owners take note and get this Hotel to its previous welcoming, warm and friendly Hotel.
