Residence le Terrazze

My spouse and I recently stayed in an apar**ent with sea view (on the top floor) for 5 nights. Here are the pros and cons: Cons: Check-in - This was the most bizzare and confusing check in we have experienced. The front door is locked. Fortunately there was another customer inside who let us in. He was equally confused because the reception desk closed at 1pm. But check in is clearly stated that it is after 2pm. We stood around for a while wondering what to do. A man later showed up who worked there (we would find out later that he is the main employee there) and he opened a tiny box (that looked like a safe) that contained various envelopes with keys. The envelopes had our names on them He seemed very frustrated with all of us that we did not know how to check in. Apparently there is a PIN code that was given that we (and the other guest) overlooked. Later that day another guest appeared in the lobby equally confused and she also did not know the drill. Why the reception would close at the time of check-in is beyond me. Cleanliness - The apar**ent was clean if you didn't look too close. Behind furniture and windows, doors, corners were not clean at all. Furniture - Adequate but very dated. No extra pillows or extra anything at all. Sheets were thin. Bed was decently comfortable. Bathroom - Shower was absolutely disgusting with mold and mildew. We just tried not to look too close. Only 2 rolls of cheap toilet paper. Parking - The most reliable parking was several blocks away. Pros: Space - Very spacious - lots of room throughout the apar**ent. A/C - Worked very well Sound and light - Very quiet at night and dark Price - Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for View from the balcony - Awesome Location - Easy walking distance to the main sights of Trieste. Small grocery and bar around the corner. Restaurants everywhere. In all, this place was extremely basic and dated. Functional. It's very self-service. You are basically on your own here.

I’ve now stayed here a few times when I’ve returned to my beautiful birthplace of Trieste and can’t recommend it enough. Prime location in easy walking distance to so many places and right next to virtually all the bus services you could ask for AND the train station. There is also a small supermarket around the corner and heaps of (really good!) bars and restaurants literally minutes away. The rooms are spacious, with all the essentials including a well stocked kitchen, washing machine, TV, wi-fi, a lift and comfortable beds. The staff are attentive and friendly, there’s a handy vending machine in the lobby and you can easily rent a car nearby although be warned parking in Trieste has become a nigh**are in the last year! Definitely visit this marvellous city and if you do, stay here!

I Stayed here over night on a business trip. A large room with a great view over the city and out across the bay from the terrace. The room was clean, tidy and everything I needed was in the apar**ent. I arrived later in the evening after the reception was closed and so was given instruction to get key and a number if there were any problems or questions. The instruction included a short video of everything I needed to know. I slept well and the bed was comfortable. The location is great and friendly staff.

Comoda la posizione sia x la stazione dei treni, che per il centro. Appartamento pulito, arredo un po rovinato, balcone spazioso.

Das beste an dieser Unterkunft ist die super zentrale Lage und der Parkplatz gleich um die Ecke. Ansonsten sind die Appartements in die Jahre gekommen. Typisch italienisch würde ich sagen. Manche Flächen sind bereits stark abgegriffen. Die Küchenausstattung ist soweit ok, wenn man sich nur kurz in der Stadt aufhält. Im Haus selber fühl man sich sicher. Alle Türen sind mit massiven Schlössern versehen. Die Schalldämmung ist halt auch nicht so toll. Man hört wenn der Nachbar nach Hause kommt oder in der Wohnung oberhalb ein Sessel gerückt wird.

Ottima location per visitare Trieste. In pieno centro consente di raggiungere a piedi tutto. Personale gentilissimo e indicazioni fornite perfette. Pulito, con aria condizionata d dotato dei confort necessari ad un breve soggiorno

Premetto che ho scelto la struttura fidandomi di recensioni...cosa che non farò mai più, perché ho trovato che non fossero aderenti alla realtà. Detto questo, scrivo una recensione sperando che possa aiutare altri a non commettere i miei stessi errori di giudizio. Al residence si accede tramite un ascensore minuscolo, appena capiente per quattro persone: coi bagagli non è possibile entrarci tutti assieme. Fuori dalla porta abbiamo trovato una bottiglia di vetro con dei fiori secchi, che è rimasta lì per la durata del soggiorno (3 giorni). L'appartamento assegnato (62, al sesto piano) non ha porte tra le stanze, per cui in quattro manca l'intimità. Il bagno è cieco, con boiler. Non c'è lavastoviglie. Ma quel che più mi ha colpito in negativo è la scarsa pulizia, con porta del bagno e parete del bagno macchiate (non lavate), sporcizia accumulata dietro ai sanitari... Insomma, non comprendo come dalle recensioni possa risultare un giudizio positivo sulla struttura, di uno squallore solo parzialmente mitigato dalla centralità.

Ottima la posizione di questo residence, i cui appartamenti, attrezzati di tutto, sono confortevoli e spaziosi. Il problema è che un intero piano è invaso da un odore di fumo ormai stantio che probabilmente si potrà risolvere solo riverniciando tutte le stanze; fumo che ha invaso vestiti e valigie. Una delle tapparelle era rotta e l'aria condizionata non funzionante (meglio, così il fumo non circolava!), sostituita da un ventilatore gentilmente fornito dal personale. La strada su cui si affacciano i balconi è, infine, molto rumorosa. Portatevi docciaschiuma ecc. perché non sono inclusi se non in una unica monodose. Non so se lo consiglierei.

Camera pulita e spaziosa con una camera da letto matrimoniale e un divano letto nella zona pranzo. Letti comodi. 5 minuti a piedi dal centro città e collegato con un ottimo servizio di autobus di linea. Parcheggio auto in un garage nelle vicinanze.
