Gadh Ganesh Homestay

We stayed with Family on 7th Feb.2025 With Booking in name of Nicholas Chandra Sharma. There is nothing exceptional about this honestay ; very unprofessional in every way be it Room quality, Food prices, bathroom bucket &mug cleanliness ,pillows &bed size and something very basic like tea-serving. We stayed for 3days in Udaipur but had booked this homestay for only 1 day as we were apprehensive about homestays services, food and professionalism. Upon entry felt that we had wrong choice.! The price of Aloo parantha is 150/- and for poha is 100/- which is exorbitant as much better quality &at a much better prices these are nearby available. When complained to Mr Nigam he started to teach the costing methods which were ridiculous. The tea was served by poor chef in ordinary open cups without any covering which got undrinkable in 5-7 minutes as it got cold on a wintery morning. He was immediately suggested to bring tea in Tea-pot with Tea cozy for which quickly showed unavailability!!. There are other breakfast options available except bread-butter. The dining table and chairs are all plastic which are very uncomfortable hided by table cloth . Bathroom bucket and mug are very dirty and inconvenient to use. Bathroom cleaning utensils are kept near your bucket which is very unprofessional. The bedsize should be 6.5 feet as I am 6 ft. tall so my legs were out of bed full 4 inches and could not sleep whole night after a tiring night journey. The kitchen is very untidy and poor chef had to loudly called as he not available all the time as he is a poor multi-tasking employee as the owner wants to save on employee salary be it unprofessional &uncomfortable for the guests. Mr Nigam has every unprofessional explanations for all these shortcomings. Quickly shifted to other 3-star hotel and found what a great difference between the two!! Just had a great feeling of relieved of a very heavy burden!! Then onwards enjoyed the Udaipur trip.

Gadh Ganesh Homestay is a gem in Udaipur. Mr. Nigam and Mrs. Abha are the kindest hosts who make you feel truly at home. The food, prepared with love by Mrs. Abha, is absolutely delicious, and their thoughtfully crafted menu adds a special touch to every meal. The homestay’s garden is a peaceful retreat where parrots and other birds visit every evening—a beautiful connection to nature. The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the overall ambiance is perfect for relaxation. If you’re visiting Udaipur, this place is a must-stay. Highly recommended!
