The Sun Inn

booked 2 nights Airbnb , firstly - when I arrived at accommodation it was under a different name that was advertised on Airbnb as coaching Inn was the name on the advert on arrival it was the Sun inn which confused us. Secondly - on Arrival in our room it was quite hot and there was no air-conditioning so I endeavour to open a window there were three windows in our room one was nailed closed the other two opened but outside directly there were pigeons roosting and lots of pigeons droppings and pigeon poop dust all outside our window and on our windowsill we therefore couldn’t open any of our windows pigeons droppings and dust are a health hazard and breathing this in can cause Cryttococcosis, histoplasmosis, psittacosis a serious health hazard Thirdly -I then proceeded to go downstairs to inform the staff we could not stay in this room I got to the second floor and could not find the exit to get down to the next level all doors had fire exit on them!! I had to ring the property and speak to a staff member who then then came up and found me and showed me the way downstairs The doorway I should have gone through had a fire exit on it and a bar across it was very confusing!! I spoke to a staff member name Liam and asked him if I could speak to the manager he said he was duty manager I explained that I could not stay in the room due to the windows in the pigeons droppings he never offered me another room i therefore left and did not stay there for the two nights that I booked and paid I sent a polite email to the host Kirsty explaining to her and asking for a refund I have sent a second email to Kirsty asking for a refund I have had no reply from Kirsty !! I am currently going through Airbnb for a refund I will be informing the environmental health agency of the hazards outside the windows and I will be informing the local fire safety department of signage in the property it’s confusing to allow you to get down to the lower level basically the building is a health hazard and safety hazard I have photos to uphold my complaint I world not recommend staying here!!

Suppose to be a delux room. Still trying to find the delux basic metal bed mattress we’re you can feel all the springs stayed here twice before and must say this as been the worst experience. The sink was dirty so was the shower curtain with grime.

On the 13th,december,2022,my wife and I attended the sun inn Silverstone cumbria,on a wowcher deal.it was supposed to be a deluxe room.it was a dulldingy box,dirty bathroom mirror.yellow water in the toilet.we attended for dinner at,17.30.we had our wowcher coupon, and asked for our complimentary drinks.to be told that they don't do them anymore.so we ordered our drinks and our meals,they guy that served us was in a word vile.he tried too charge us as if we where not on a voucher.realised his mistake threw his mobile ,behind him.and said for fs,sake out whilst waiting for our food.we could hear the guy that served us from the kitchen shouting at a colegue,you think you are a hard c..t do you I will take your f,ing head off.the food arrived,disappointing doesn't come close.it was vile.neither of us even finished our meals.we didn't complain about it because of the guys attitude.we where booked for two days but left early the next day.I have jointly complained to the Sun inn,and wowcher in excess of 21times.even by letter to no reply.I urge you please,never use wowcher accommodation deals.and never,visit the sun inn in ukverston.the guy that served us was a ginger haired,Liverpool,accented.*****.

Stayed for one night with my partner on a winter getaway deal they had and was extremely great value, believe they have new owners and it looks like they are doing a great job. So please ignore older reviews as they don't relate to our experience. Room was warm and cosy , the new menu is delicious and well thought out , the best service we have ever had on our travels, from check in to when we left we lwere ooked after by a stqff member called Toby/Tony who couldn't do enough for us and is a credit to the establishment. There was music but we slept soundly and enjoyed the breakfast too . Thank you to all at The Sun . Thank you

We enjoyed a delicious meal of pork belly and whisky maple ribs, from the new menu, with excellent and attentive service. Nice and quiet too, compared to the other restaurants which were fully booked. Thank you.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Good location in the town and you are reminded when you book it can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. Staff helpful and polite especially the gentleman who seemed to be breakfast duty every day I was there! My only downside is breakfast being at 9am other than that I had a lovely stay

Well what an experience! First nights stay no sleep as booming music until around 2.30am then screaming youngsters in the street until much later. Went for breakfast was sat in the 'cold' waited over half hour for breakfast, which was ok.. Second night was quiet then went for breakfast to find the breakfast room closed, ask a member of staff who said ' not sure if it was explained to you but you needed to say what time you wanted breakfast!! No it wasnt expkained to us & as we told them on arrival that we woukd have breakfast at 9am we assumed that would apply for both mornings, the staff said you needed to tell them the night before the 2nd morning as well..So we left & went across the road to buy something to eat.. All that said i must add that the young staff where lovely but we would never return here..

We stayed here in February 2022 on a winter getaway deal and for the price absolutely amazing! And charlie is an asset to the hotel, lovey lad

WOW what else can I say. Booked a special winter deal £79.00 for bed breakfast welcome drink and 3 course evening meal. What excellent value. My husband being a chef normally has some remark derogatory to the food NOT this time he said the food has been amazing, the sweet I had he said was the best he had ever tasted. Praise indeed. The room was nicely presented the only down for me was two flights of stairs other than that we lived everything. The town of ulverston, where my dad was from gave us a warm welcome. Free parking (first come first serve) but hey its free. The welcome drink Thomas had wine I had prosecco that too was good not cheap stuff. Breakfast was amazing the biggest plate I have ever seen. All in all amazing thank you one and all staff you deserve a pat on the back. Well done x Mr and Mrs Achaski
