Shelter Beach Resort

The place was so refreshing and definitely will recommend for others. Thanks for giving us such a wonderful experience.. The best part of resort was the trees and lush green. Garden ***** with delicious food. We will prefer this resort while planning for next visit .

The resort has a beautiful beach front. The rooms were nice and spacious. Food was decent. Nice play area for Pre schoolers and toddlers But the beach front lawn was nice

We stayed 2night in this resort. 2nd night there was power fluctuation in our room(no 208) and ac was not working properly. we have informed the same to the technician, they came and said it happens due to over heating of ac. They switched off and switched on again saying it will work fine. After 2 mins My daughter was not able to breathe, we dragged her out of the room and our neighbors helped us. After 10 mins technicians came, they went to our room and checked their was a smell in our room due to leakage from AC vent. ***ager took us to the hospital. When we came back they gave us another room( no 301) saying that room is full of smell and it's not safe to take ur luggage now, morning You can take. Morning around 7 30 again my daughter was not able to breathe we were literally shouting for help and calling for buggy none of them came. My husband ran to the parking took our car and came inside the resort and we rushed to hospital again. When we fought with the ***agement they completely deneined as it was not because of AC and when we said we gonna complaint the ***ager told we are making this up. Such a careless and negligence from the ***ager and ***agement side. 1. No proper maintenence of room 2. No emergency doctor available inside the resort as we need to travel 7km to nearby hospital 3. No buggy was available In case of emergency Request from my side to the ***agement, *Kindly look into the issue as no one should suffer like us. We have gone through mentally and physically alot because of this incident* *kindly maintain your rooms properly * *kindly keep emergency service available 24/7*

The highlight of the place is the lovely green lawn & beach with wonderful sea view.. The suite room and standard rooms were good 👍. Food was also good. The advantage is the morning walk ***** the shore. Has a swimming pool and Since it was weekend, it was a bit crowded and dinner at their restaurant got delayed. The staff are smiling and friendly.

Located not far from the Chennai city and spanning the entire space between the East Coast Road and the ocean. Rooms are well designed and comfortable. However shows the age in furniture and fittings! There are 3 or 4 Villa type rooms facing the sea. Outstanding view from there. Restaurant offers attractive fare. South Indian dishes including the special thali organised by chef K***na were excellent. Staff were very helpful. Special mention must be made of Mr. Aiyappan of Sales who cheerfully attended to all our requests .

We 8 friends with family stayed in this resort for 1 night 30th Dec-2023. Room and toilet was spacious. Complimentary breakfast was good... Mainly south indian dishes. Beach was very near and they maintained good lawn in front of beach. Swimming pool was small. They charged Rs.500 for lost swipe card which is very high... Cons. 1. Urgent renovation is required for rooms and Toilet 2. More swimming pool play items are charged at exorbitant rates 3. Food items rates are on higher side Pros. 1. Neatly maintained lawn and beach shore. 2. Complimentary tea and coffee in morning and evening at beach lawn 3. Very fast room service.

Stayed at this location for 3 nights. Here's the assessment: 1. Room: 5/5 – The rooms were notably large and spacious, providing good ventilation with windows that could be opened. 2. Bathroom: 2/5 – Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant smell persisting in the bathroom that despite efforts, remained unaddressed. 3. Food and room service: 4/5 – The food offered a good variety, and the service was prompt. However, the prices were relatively high. Pros: 1. The property is situated by the beach, quite distant from the main city, ensuring a tranquil environment. 2. A beach lies approximately 100 meters away, offering a secluded experience due to its private nature. 3. The staff, on the whole, was accommodating and helpful. 4. The rooms are designated as non-smoking, which is commendable, as it maintains a fresh atmosphere inside. Ample smoking areas are provided outside. 5. While not a standard size, a pool is available for use. Cons: 1. Owing to the resort's location, I faced difficulty in securing an Uber/Ola for airport transportation. Consequently, I had to resort to a private vehicle, incurring higher expenses. 2. Despite the pool's stipulated operating hours from 7 AM to 6 PM, the responsible personnel arrived consistently late by 15-20 minutes. Although seemingly trivial, this delay was inconvenient due to my tight schedule. 3. Room cleaning wasn't conducted automatically, even after placing the designated placard on the door. Notably, I couldn't inform the front desk on the first day as the receptionist was occupied on a call, resulting in the room not being cleaned. This was disappointing. Overall, it's a pleasant place to stay if you have access to private transportation and aren't reliant on public transport.

The resort is very good. The best thing about the resort is the private beach and a lawn next to it. There are some rooms right infront of the beach. If you can get those rooms it will like heaven. You can hire a cycle and do some exercise in the premise. Only drawback is the resort is 18 KM from the city . You can get vehicles to go to Mahabaleshwar City. Availability of the vehicle may not be immediate. It should not be a problem for all those who are looking for spending time in solitude.

Beautiful place with very helpful and friendly staff right from front office to restaurant staff to housekeeping staff Amazing food. Rooms are well maintained and comfortable ALL Services are provided quickly Pool is maintained well following healthy practices.
