Myself and a friend stayed in Room 210 (twin beds, rate included breakfast) for 5 nights (Sunday-Thursday) in August 2022. Daytime temperatures were 30C+ everyday. Pros: -Helpful and friendly staff. Vera was particularly helpful and is a credit to the business. -Clean and well maintained premises, including gardens with olive trees and other flora. -Free WiFi. -Reception area. Free map of the island of Aegina. -Room 210 (2nd floor, top floor) - open plan sleeping and kitchen areas. Cupboard with hanging space and shelves. Safe. Suitcase stand. Beds with bedside tables, telephone. 2x foldable chairs. Desk. Small wall-mounted Thomson TV with remote (the only English language channel is BBC World News) & USB port. Effective air-con with remote. Ceiling fan with remote. En suite bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, toilet (use bin for paper), towels, sink, lotion dispensers, large mirror, hairdryer. Kitchen area with sink, twin hobs, glasses, plates, cutlery, bottle opener, kettle, fridge. Hard floorings. Effective soundproofing. Spacious balcony with large windup sunshade, table, clothes dryer and views over Mediterranean Sea, and distant views of Piraeus and Greater Athens. -Breakfast, 9-11am. Located on ground floor by Reception. Breakfast includes cereals, fresh fruit, orange juice, cold meats, cheese, bread, croissants, jams/honey, eggs, cakes. Coffee machine. A fantastic choice and the biggest breakfast I’ve ever been offered! (The breakfast area becomes the ‘To Svelto Kouneli’ restaurant in the evening, pre-book). -Beach - a 3 minute walk away. Hotel has a private section of this sandy public beach with 18 large grass-topped parasols, each with a pair of sunloungers. (‘Sole Mare’ beach bar overlooks the beach and also has its own parasols/sunloungers). Clear water with several fish. Take swimming goggles or snorkel & facemask. -Outdoor showers available by hotel exit/entrance to beach. -Car park. -Hotel is centrally located: a 3 minute walk (shortest route along coast) to the nearest restaurant on Souvala harbour. There are numerous seafront seafood restaurants at the harbour. I also recommend an ice cream (€2.50 cone) across the road from the harbour pier. Also, look out for the family of ducks on the harbour ‘beach’! Cons: -Room - adjoining door, although no one was in the adjacent room (211) during our stay in the less busy weekday period. -Room - no bath, although I prefer a shower. -Room - TV need upgrading to a larger screen smart TV. -Room - kitchen only to be used for ‘the preparation of light snacks (salads, sandwiches etc.)’ -Room - occasional noise from the ground floor hotel laundry washing machine. -Hotel - no lift, just steps. -Hotel - no swimming pool, although beach & Mediterranean Sea are a short walk away. Notes: -We arrived via ‘Saronic Ferries’ from Piraeus (Athens), €10pp each way (1 hour journey). We had to pull our suitcases uphill along the road from the harbour pier with no pavement. The shorter route f
