Great hosts we arrived late due to late and cancelled flights. There was a problem with the rooms and they couldn’t get a plumber in so Rosa arranged for us to stay somewhere else for the night. Next morning she even arranged a trip out to Venice with some other people who were staying there we had a great day out made new friends and evening dinner was superb she went out of her way to make spicy shrimps even though they were not on the menu. We were made very welcome and would definitely like to go back and stay longer.

Needed a place to stay because our flight got pushed forward by a day to an 0700 departure, so decided to stay close to airport. Rosa and husband offer early morning transport for 25 euro/ room, so it was great! We enjoyed their pristine huge pool ( bring your own towel or pay 2 euro for one), and air conditioned room. Did not eat bfast as we left so early. Room was clean with freshly ironed sheets! No elevator, but easy-to- manage stairs! We walked a mile to La Vie, an amazing restaurant with delicious seafood at great price! And they took Visa!

We loved our stay. We felt like we where at home. The rooms where super clean, the food was amazing and my kids absolutely loved it. Rosa was so sweet and caring. The staff was very kind. The food was very authentic and delicious. They have a wonderful pool and easy access to Venice via boat.

Dear Rosa, As a retired Hotelier, you warmed my heart today in so many, many ways. After a cruise that ended up near Venice, your place was full of love, authenticity, and so much of what makes the centuries old professions of hospitality and cuisine endure. I found The Country House Country Club using the Bonvoy app, as I was staying nearby at the Courtyard Marriott. They have an excellent restaurant which I have already dined in, but I was intrigued by The Country House. A wonderful menu, and I am so happy to have enjoyed the Baccala mantercato, the grilled prawn special and the incredible dolce. The house dessert was truly a delight. A meringue shell, crisp, filled with a perfect vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream and fresh blackberry puree. I could not have asked for a finer way to wind down my trip. Also, my warmest regards and appreciation for the time it took to retrieve my phone, which I left in the taxi. Grazie mille, Michael Rawson

Ho passato un weekend con la mia famiglia in questo posto immerso nel verde a due passi da Venezia. Abbiamo passato una giornata in piscina in relax e fatto l'escursione con la barca visitando le isole di Burano e Torcello partendo dal porticciolo del Country.

Se capita un imprevisto che possa essere la batteria del telecomando scarico o l’assenza di acqua calda in camera, aspettatevi di sentirvi rispondere in maniera pessima. Attenzione al cliente totalmente assente. Scortesia e maleducazione. Assolutamente sconsigliato

This is a charming old house among fields with no lift, so be prepared to haul cases up to the second floor, although we did have help when we arrived. The elderly owners greeted us warmly and cooked us a pasta meal with dessert when requested, despite showing us a restaurant menu and ignoring our choices, which was odd. However the food was good and they obviously only cater to visitors these days. Breakfast was continental with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, brioche or biscuits. Our room was very spacious and clean and the bed was comfy and warm. Nature is all around you here and walking down to the pool after dinner we heard frog song and owls. Swallows have set up many busy nests under the eaves. Sadly the huge pool was not set up for us to use and interestingly, we found crayfish dead on the bottom, perhaps accounted for by recent heavy rains. The grass was not cut for the same reason apparently. We followed the path beyond and found a lovely curve in the river with their own boat dock, Venetian style. We wondered if perhaps the maintenance of such a large place was getting too much for the elderly owners, although they did seem to know what they were doing with communication and payments. Rosa spoke excellent English. The property is hidden away but is close to the end of the runway at Marco Polo airport so planes overhead are very loud, although they did stop at night. With a lift from the owners to the airport, it worked well for our overnight and flight home.
