This hotels has a bed bug infestation. We arrived late in the evening August 24th with our two young children and upon folding out the sofa bed found bed bugs crawling on the mattress. The front desk associate was kind enough to move our rooms, but unfortunately the second room also had bed bugs in the pull out sofa. We’d already booked this hotel for three nights but with bugs in two rooms there was no way we could stay. We wrapped a bug up in a tissue, delivered it to the front desk and informed her we would have to check out because those bugs were crawling in the pull out sofas where our sons would be sleeping. She was very kind and assured us we would receive a phone call the very next day (August 25th) from a manager who would be able to resolve the issue. Fast forward to September 6th, not one person has returned a single phone call of mine or even attempted to reach out to me regarding the matter. They sent us a bill for three nights in their hotel and three days of parking in their parking lot when we spent less than 30 minutes in the building and never returned. I’ve attempted to reach them MULTIPLE times. I’ve been given the run around over and over when I call. I’ve heard managers aren’t in, managers are in meetings, or if they are a manager, they have no authority to help with the situation. Each “manager” I’ve spoken to has promised to return my phone call right away and failed to do so every time. I emailed the manager, Tanja, and she has yet to return to the email either. I can assure you this hotel has bed bugs in it. Just read other reviews! We aren’t the only guests who have had issues with this. This was one of three Residence Inns we stayed in over the course of this trip throughout California and this Residence Inn in Vasalia was an awful experience. The management has shown they do not care about the experience of their guests at all.
