Our stay at the Arca Boutique Hotel in West Bay was the nicest part of our trip to Roatan. This is a very new Hotel right on West Bay and everything about it was great! We stayed in one of their beachfront rooms and the waves lulled us to sleep each night. All the staff was extremely friendly, the place was beautifully laid out, classy and comfortable. The food was great and the chef even made us a special Honduran dish when I asked the gal at the front desk where to go to get some. We are already talking about going back to Roatan and we will definitely stay at the Arca.

I am disputing ½ of the charge of $2239. I booked 4 days and I only used 2 days due to the fact their drinks and food got me and my wife sick. We could not keep anything down. We were very careful to drink only bottled water but I think it was from the ice cubes and washing of the food or staff washing their hands in the tap water. The room they sent us a picture of was not the room they gave us. I told them that ours room was on the first floor looking at the beach. They said sorry this is the room you are getting they were sold out it was holy week. The room they gave us with no choice was on the 2nd floor in the back. The stairs were rather steep and hard for us to climb. When we walked in the sheets had stains but we always bring our own. When I asked them about watching TV they told us that it’s not included and we had to use our own netflix and other streaming service. I looked at her and said we are paying over $500 a day and we don't even get TV, she said nothing. On their website it looks like it’s a private beach but it is not it’s a public beach for everybody to go back and forth all day long including street vendors trying to sell you their trinkets. They have chairs and while we were there a family came along and put a huge tent in front of us and nobody did anything about it. In the $500 a day fee breakfast was included but no other food or drinks were included. The drinks were good enough accept for the first day my wife drank this prepared fruity drink that made her sick. The food was horrible a few times I ordered something like their chicken sandwich took one bite and put it on the side and ordered something else. I figured if I ordered the skirt steak they cannot mess that up. I was wrong it had so much salt I could barely eat it. The mash potatoes had no flavor. I felt hungry the whole time I was at this hotel. The menu had a very poor selection. The whole time we were both me was hitting the bathroom due to something in the food and water. They say you should not drink the water so we only drank bottled water or what they called purified water. But how do you know what’s in the ice cubes or when they clean the food etc. We could not take it any longer and left 2 days earlier than planned. When my wife said we were leaving they told us they will charge us for the 2 days we were not staying. When my wife said we are leaving because we were sick they did not care. She was then surrounded by a few security guards and got scared. We decide to take it up with my cc company. This whole area was very depressed the houses are falling down and you had dirt and sand in the air. It was a mixture of dirt and grease smell everywhere. When you are leaving towards the airport if the cruise ship comes in you better give yourself at least 2 hours one road in and out. The staff for the most part was very kind and they tried to please us. The manger was horrible uncaring and rude. We are charging back our cc for $1119 for the 2 days we

Wow! Did we really enjoy our stay at Arca. We were able to enjoy the gorgeous West Bay Beach but also feel secluded while on this stunning property. The rooms are beautifully curated, modern, and extremely comfortable. The black out curtains were an additional bonus to help me get an extra hour of much needed sleep! Also to note -the included breakfast is a choice of many delicious items - banana pancakes and Honduran breakfast, not to be missed! We also enjoyed sunset cocktails and food from the bar menu. We look forward to coming back again. Thanks Arca for a wonderful stay!

This resort is a slick stark minimalist wonderland. Well done. We stayed in 2 suites. First was ocean view. Wow. Literally 50 feet from water but still out of the beach traffic. Sunsets hypnotic. Painted us orange and red with light on our deck. Bathroom big and beautiful. Clear glass giant shower. Room closed with rolling barn door. Double sink. Nice. Food good. Bar good. Weird coffee scenario. Charged. Not charged. Unnecessary and awkward for staff and customers. Lack of media device in room. Kinda cool. Kinda not. A little fridge would be welcomed for sure too This is a new resort and searching for its footing. We were delighted with the owner and in general embrace female businesses. We are hospitality gurus and know to lead with love is always the way. Thank you Arca

I stayed at Arca for 8 nights in December 2023 and had an absolutely incredible experience. Me and my husband could not have felt better taken care of! Ahead of our stay, the team was happy to answer any questions. They arranged a great pickup for us at the airport. When we arrived, we got a nice welcome cocktail and were shown to our beautiful room overlooking the beach. The property is lush and green, with the brand new pool situated in the middle. The location is truly special, right on the beach. We had breakfast at the restaurant every morning, which was delicious. My favorite was the banana pancakes. My husband loved the typical breakfast, that came with warm tortillas that were clearly homemade every morning. Everyone who works at Arca are welcoming, warm, and always go the extra mile to help out or suggest an activity. One day, they set us up with a driver to take us on a custom, private tour around the island for some snorkling and excursions. The bar is situated right on the beach, and you can watch the sunset while having one of their nice cocktails. Our room was impeccably designed with many thoughtful details throughout, and it was clean and in pristine condition. Thank you so much to the entire team for making our experience so incredible! We can't wait to come back!!

Wow, just wow. We stayed at Arca for over a week in December 2023. It was, simply, incredible. I really can’t imagine a better trip. We were greeted at the airport by an amazing shuttle driver – and greeted with a drink upon arriving at the hotel. The property itself is gorgeous. Lush and tropical, while being modern and hospitable. It’s definitely the nicest hotel in West Bay. We were right on the beach which was so cool! All the staff were incredible – so kind, helpful and attentive. They set us up with a driver to take us on a custom tour which involved a zipline, a sloth, monkeys, snorkeling, a boat ride through the mangroves and a nap in the van. The food was delicious too. We at breakfast at the hotel each day. The staff was helpful in suggesting other fun restaurants around the island. We loved Silversides, Kristi’s, and Sea Salt. Word to the wise, make reservations. Really, I can’t imagine a better trip! Hope that we can get back to Arca in 2024!

This little boutique hotel/mini resort is a real gem smack in the middle of one of the best beaches in the world. Nowadays hotel photos are usually better than reality but not so here - as nice as the pictures are, it's even better in person. The overall vibe is rustic luxury with attentive, but not suffocating, service. Our "luxury suite" was spacious and comfortable: very good beds, quality linens and towels, true blackout shades, generous shower products, complimentary drinking water, and overall beautiful modern design. Outside, there is lots of shade from beautiful mature palm trees, a really nice pool (never crowded), a mini restaurant with excellent complimentary breakfast and à la carte food until 9pm, and a beach bar with the best people-watching seating in all of West Bay. The very best part of this resort is just how small and private it is... you get to be on the sand but without all the hustle and bustle (t-shirt peddlers, large noisy families, etc). The ocean itself is clean and calm and there are plenty of complimentary beach chairs. Can't wait to come back!

Professional, friendly, accommodating staff. Quiet with plenty to do near by, but why leave? The menu and food are fabulous! The beach chairs are reserved for hotel guests so there always plenty of room. Excellent snorkeling right up the beach. Thanks for the great week! Can’t wait to come back.
