Lamp Post Lodge

The location has an amazing view and oh so quiet. The whole place was immaculate. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of the town and what we needed. For sure will stay there again.

Really enjoyed our one night at The Lamp Post Lodge. We stayed in the second floor San Isabel Suite which was comfortable, quite spacious and had a perfect view of the mountains to the West. The entire lodge was super clean and very quiet. We'd definitely stay here again when in the Westcliffe area.

Perfect views of the mountains to the west. Comfortable and clean rooms with a homey feel. Staff was abundantly accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. We will definitely be staying here next time we're in the area.

Clean and comfortable lodge. Did not feel old or stuffy like some other small town inns. Mountain View’s are amazing and the location is close to town. No road noise. Shared kitchen/refrigerator is handy. Would definitely stay here again!

It's a very nice building. We stayed in the Pinegrove Suite, which was also very nice and had a goid election of breakfast bars, trail mixes, etc when we arrived. It's not the most welcoming place to stay, however, as there's no onsite host to answer any questions or tend to any needs. When we arrived, the kitchen trash can was already full, and we found the next morning the only coffee pods they had was decaf. It has a large covered porch with several chairs and tables. We sat there waiting for the sky to darken, but wished we could have found a way to turn off the porch lights, as they are very bright. Our room had it's own private porch, which was nice; but it's kind of setup, as the window for the room next to us looked out on our private patio, giving neither guest any privacy on a nice evening when guests have their windows open. The walls are also not insulated all that well, as we were able to hear our neighbors' TV until about 3:00am when they finally turned it off. All in all, it was a nice place, but lacking in some areas that could be improved with an onsite host.

What a lovely and unique and clean place to stay. Wonderful accommodations. You don't need much! And yes the bed was wonderful too! Kitchen, dining, family or friend sitting areas. Bathrooms were very nice!

We stayed in the spacious Bristlecone Suite, just off the large living room and breakfast area. The entire home is tastefully decorated and immaculate. We had the house to ourselves on a Sunday evening, so we brought in pizza and breakfast goodies as we didn’t want to go anywhere else. So enjoyed relaxing on the porch - the gliders were very comfortable. We highly recommend this exceptional lodge!

The Bristlecone suite is a large room with a very comfortable king bed, sitting area, and ADA bathroom. The lodge also has a large, well-furnished common area with a gas fireplace, basic kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, no stove), and several seating areas. The lodge is located just north of Westcliffe, so it requires a drive to restaurants and activities. We had no direct contact with the owners, just text and emails. During this visit, we had the entire lodge to ourselves, so it was very quiet and restful. We would gladly stay here again.

Stayed in main level room at the lodge. Others in the group stayed there also. Great clean room with plenty of space. Nice group area on main level for get togethers. Liked the fireplace and seating areas. Plenty of coffee and a few snacks. Would be excellent for family reunions. Will be back.
