Crescent Lodge Guest House

I don't usually leave reviews but I feel crescent lodge deserves it.We stopped for 4 nights and wished it was more.Excellent service as everyone mentions plus an impeccable room with parking which is a must in Whitby.Dont waste your time searching for anywhere else just book if there are spaces available

We had an excellent stay at Crescent Lodge. Gwen & Lee made us feel so welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Everything was spotlessly clean & incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful & delicious & we wouldn't hesitate to stay again!! Definitely 5 star all day long!

Great hosts. Spotlessly clean room. Great choices for breakfast. Fridge and freshmilk and water in room. Very large comfortable bed. What more could you ask for and very reasonably priced with off road parking. Will return later in the year. Thanks we really enjoyed our stay.

We booked a last minute three night break and if you do the same, you will not be disappointed. Its ideally located for strolling into the Town, approximately 10 minutes away, but there are some steps to manage, and also a beach is about 5 minutes walk. Gwen and Lee made us very welcome and were always available if you wanted anything. It is a traditional Victorian House, so there are stairs to the upper floors, we had room 9, which had a sea view, but they do have ground floor rooms available for those with mobility issues. The breakfast was excellent and quality local products are used. Ours was a family room with a double and two single beds, so plenty of room for just the two of us, and there was plenty of storage space. The bathroom looked as though it had just been installed, with a large walk in shower. All in all, a excellent place to stay.

We have just had a Monday to Friday stay at the Crescent Lodge guest house, and what a great place to stay. Gwen and Lee were lovely hosts, the breakfasts were great, nice and hot. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We came home feeling relaxed, which was the whole reason for the break, so thank you Gwen and Lee, we would definitely stay here again.

Gwen & Lee very welcoming, rooms clean and well serviced, breakfast is all local produce, tasty and well presented. Well placed hotel with a short walk to all amenities and attractions that Whitby and the surrounding areas have to offer close to bus stop and beach perfect for a great break to unwind

We booked for just one night and got a lovely triple room on the ground floor, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom area looked brand new. The room was huge and we wished we could have stayed longer but this was a stop off point for a road trip we had planned. The hosts are a really nice couple and the place isa credit to them. The breakfast was out of this world absolutely perfectly cooked and presented. I would recommend that anyone who wants a comfortable stay in a large room with a perfect breakfast stay here.

Parked up outside the guesthouse, the included parking is a big plus. We were greeted by the owners who showed us to our room at the top of the building up 2 flights of stairs. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was great. It looked like the bathroom had been fitted very recently. Great water pressure in the shower which is always a bonus. Breakfast was nice, although you have to pre-order the day before and select a time slot so it did feel a bit regimented and felt like you had to work to their schedule rather than get up at your leisure (within the breakfast period). The biggest let down for us was the bed! I appreciate you can't please everybody but this was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on . We both vary slightly in our preference between a harder or softer bed but both of us really struggled. It was so hard and you could feel the springs in the mattress. The pillows, well I wouldn't call them pillows, they were rock hard with no give and looked like they were sofa cushions. I ended up putting them on the floor and rolling up my jumper to rest my head on. It is a real shame as the place and the owners are lovely but the bed and lack of sleep really put a dampner on our holiday as we were tired and aching.

Fantastic place, couldn't fault it and would definitely stay again Large airy room, spotlessly clean with fabulous modern bathroom. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Only 10 min walk into Whitby with free parking.
