Broomfield House

Lovely mid-week stay. We normally get a cottage for the week, so this was a novelty for us. Think we were the only room taken on the time we were there, so got an upgrade from room 4 to room 5 which absolutely suited my wife as she loves a bath. The room was comfortable with a sofa and chair and well equipped with mini fridge should you want to store anything chilled. The road outside can get a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper, but we managed fine. My only ****** is that the bathroom was a bit small with the bath in there so little room for putting your toiletries out and drying towels, but I am being picky here. This is an old house, as are most of the rooms in the centre of Whitby, as such it will show signs of age, but it is close to the town and the harbour and the piers and everything else Whitby has to offer. I love a Premier Inn with their straight walls etc, but if you want anything like that in Whitby and many other towns you will be looking at needing to drive in. Which leads me to parking. We had no problem parking for free by the park for the whole of are stay. This may be a bit more difficult in the busy times but free parking is around if you know where to look, I'm sure the owners will help. Really pleased with our stay and a good price as we booked direct with the hotel and got a reduction. Will be the first place we try if we are in the position to go back for a short break.

Unclean bad maintenance no breakfast tired room feels like they have given up. Advertisements are not wat you will get even the price is wrong maybe TripAdvisor should real look at what place there Advertise. I wouldn't recommend it or go back

Because of a misunderstanding of the vehicle parking facilities at the hotel premises and that our vehicle had to be park some long distance away from the Broomfiel Hose in a unsecured area on the street we decided that the risk to vandalism was to high and so decided to cancel our accommodation however the proprietor was understandable about our situation and kindly agreed to refund the full payment that my wife paid for the 2 nights accomdations.

We spent a weekend at Broomfield House. We found free parking straight away after receiving a detailed email from Steve. We were also informed we could check in early as the room was ready. The guest house is in a perfect position, literally 2 minutes walk to the bus and train station and the town centre. The double room on the 3rd floor was perfect! Really comfy bed and super soft pillows. The extras in the wardrobe included a hair dryer, fan, ironing board and iron. The Google speaker is a great touch as well. The bathroom is outside of the bedroom door, no landing to walk across. The dressing gowns for modesty are a great idea!! There was plenty of tea and coffee, with milk in the fridge. The host, Steve, kept in touch from the minute we booked until we arrived home. Excellent service, excellent guest house, excellent weather!

We stayed for 3 nights and found the room very spacious and clean. The communication from Steve before we arrived was very good and he greeted us when we arrived. Steve provided us with lots of recommendations and information. We managed to easily get parked only a small walk from the accommodation. Broomfield House is in an ideal location very close to the bus and train station. There are lots of places to eat just a short walk from the accommodation.

Really nice rooms, clean warm & cosy! Steve & Jo on hand for any needs to make your stay enjoyable & comfortable. Plenty to see & do over a weekend to keep us occupied. Good value for money. Recommended for weekend stays or longer. Whitby was lovely this weekend

I booked into Broomfield House at the last minute as my plans to stay in Whitby changed. Steve was very helpful and welcoming and I was given a beautiful room with a view of Pannett Park across the road. It was in close walking distance to everywhere I needed to be in Whitby and was comfortable and charming. Great bathtub. Thanks for making my stay an enjoyable one!

Situated 5 minutes walk to everything yet quite and peaceful. Stayed in a big room overlooking the park, clean room, comfortable bed, fresh drinking water, plenty of variety of teas and coffees and milk. Mini fridge great for keeping water n milk cold. Shower great, clean towels and plenty of toiletries provided. Got upgraded to next range of room, Great host and would stay here again.
