Clean bed and spacious. Beachfront just walk to the beach. Nice patio where you can cook your breakfast and eat outside to enjoy the sea breeze.

A motel on beach front: parked at back immediately outside back door. Good sized room on ground floor, good facilities. Can also just walk out of front onto lawn with table and chairs both on lawn and patio. Maybe a mile walk into town but easy going on beach path ( or on beach depending on tide)

I cannot rate this place more highly. The service was exceptional. The facilities were immaculately clean and tidy. Not to mention the main feature, the exceptional beachfront views and magical sunrise. Thank you to Bailey's for making the trip so much more special.

We stayed at Baileys the nights of February 27 and 28, 2023, in an upstairs unit. Positives - -Large unit with a comfortable bed -Nice shower with good water pressure -Great view from the unit and patio of the ocean -Very clean Negatives -The owner’s unit on the lower level unfortunately was damaged in the cyclone on February 12. They are having extensive remodeling done as a result and our unit was quite noisy with hammering and drilling etc. This started about 8:00 am and lasted all day both days. We were not forewarned of this despite having emailed the motel prior to our visit for a status due to the cyclone. -Wi-Fi is slow, at best had two bars. -The motel is at a busy corner with lots of truck traffic during the day - it’s noisy when the patio door is open. It quiets down at night.

Excellent room with kitchen. Perfect for a pre-holiday vacation.Located across highway from the ocean. Parking was available and not a problem. Outside picnic table. Family run and maintained. Clean and perfect facilities. Friendly staff. Bonus! Coco the friendly dog

Baileys is right on the beach however there isn’t much of a view from the ground floor apartment (which we requested). The beach out the front at low tide isn’t particularly good for walking because of the multitude of shells lining the sand. We did enjoy our stay…..Whitianga is a lovely small town with a village feel….nice cafes and shops. The only downside as far as we were concerned was that the bed was very hard…..though this is probably personal taste.

This was a very basic stay. I’m not sure I’d pick this again. The view was lovely. We did stay in a very rainy winter week so that may affect how we felt about it. The room was not cold, we were very warm without heating, even in August.
