The Wimbledon Hotel

Great hotel, easy to access and very clean.

This place is filthy. Definitely never use this again. The staff never spoke to us, only ever a grunt came from the manager. Thick dust under all furniture. No heating control in the room. Radiator kicking full blast in 25 oC London heat. Painting in the family room we had was not complete. One star at best.

You literally have to wait for somebody to let you in, Within an hour if you’re lucky. The room!!! My god. I’ve had better camping trips. On opening the room door (after a 50 minute wait outside and a 5 hour drive ) we were met with a dirty quilt left rolled up on a disgustingly dirty bed ( hair and filth all over it ). There were wet used towels and dirty bedding left on the side table. No one was available to do anything about it. They do not cook breakfast ( not that I would eat there ) so that’s a complete lie and you’re paying for it. The blinds on the windows have been fitted by Stevie Wonder and don’t open or close. The place is run down and generally filthy. The water is constantly freezing cold and your unable to shower. Even the electric was off. So at times we had cold water with no electricity. The owner is the most disgusting and rude person I’ve ever met and will not converse or do anything about your situation. PLEASE DON’T BOOK HERE. You’d be better off sleeping in your car. !!! It’s vile and unsafe. I paid £800 for an executive room for 7 days to be close to my partner who had an operation in a local hospital. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. You will be ignored by anyone that occasionally works there. A DISGRACEFUL EXPERIENCE!!! The 1 stars I have given it are actually minus 10 and more. 1 star is way too good for the place. Bitten to pieces by bed bugs. Colleague stayed 18/1/23 and bitten all over. I have pictures in case this is disputed. Is stayed in 10 , and 12, and I know 3 also has bed bugs I booked through my company, I have highlighted this with my company. Owner is a good man but is not doing anything about this

Stayed here for business, check in was via me phoning which was slightly odd but I was late 9pm arriving. Room was OK but hotel feels tired. Bathroom was very small and the shower enclosure has had better days. Bed was OK and sheets were clean etc

Let’s start with it was fairly clean the room was adequate I was on the ground floor, so you would think suitable for disabled the bathroom was so small, and the bath was half of the bathroom only way to get in was the back, so I didn’t even try, my self and my husband only one towel no hand towels at all, one toilet roll and we were there 2 nights, so had to ask in the morning his not there after eight so we had to ring to him to tell me how to get in, the tv only had about 3 channels all the rest were fuzzy so I don’t think I’ll ever go back, had to smile at the sign outside saying boutique hotel 😂

This was very disappointing, I booked an 'executive room', we could not find anything executive about it!! The room was tiny and we had to climb over furniture to get out one side of the bed! The sheets had stains on them which looked like fresh blood. The pillows, which were very comfortable were stained badly inside, they were covered with pillow protectors which were also yellow and stained. The bathroom had stains on the floor tiles and paint splashes, it all looked quite slapdash and scruffy. It was also very noisy from other guests, the first night we were woken by a noisy couple banging around at 4am, shouting, singing and having very loud intercourse! They did have plenty of tea and coffee facilities in the room and the bed was very comfortable. The location was also very good. We did not see any member of staff after the cleaning lady let us in and a man in the reception office on the day we left. The hotel looked more like a house of multiple occupation than a hotel, the photos and reviews were really good so I thought it was going to be lovely but unfortunately it was not.

Stayed here when we went to the Wimbledon Soul Club at the Woodman pub. Arrived in the afternoon, no one about! Had to call a number. and eventually they managed to remotely open the door. Very worrying there was no one there and no CCTV! Our The key to the room was in a box in the hallway. We parked our car at the back, no idea if we were suppose to, no CCTV out there either. or anyone to speak to, all very odd Hotel room was very nicely presented, bathroom was clean. But we could hear the people upstairs walking around in what sounded like clogs! We did not stay for the breakfast but the dining area looked good. Not sure if we will go back.

Firstly this is not a hotel it’s a B&B. This B& B should not be rated anything above 1 rating. Booked to room they were smelly. The furniture awful condition The bathroom ceiling leaked all night and my father almost slipped &injured himself. This B& B requires health & safety regulation to check out this people.
