We popped in for coffee and it was surprisingly welcoming. Very comfortable seating and lovely staff. We haven't stayed here or had a meal yet but we will be going for Sunday lunch. We might go for lunch during the week as it has a good variable menu.

Stayed for a quick overnight break, Lovely little town location but some improvements really needed Room really warm, big crack in bath, bit gutted the pub stops serving food at 7.30 Not the best sleep with alarms going off Breakfast was really tasty and lovely quality but some fruit and maybe yogurt would be nice

Visited The Angel for lunch recently. There was a warm greeting and the a**osphere was good. Service was prompt and efficient. I ordered the fish finger sandwich with a side of chips. There was only white bread available which was not ideal but it arrived quickly and was nicely presented. The chips were delicious but the sandwich was very disappointing. There was hardly any fish? It was mainly fried batter and very greasy and the bread was very thin 😒 such a shame. Would return with the hope that the experience is improved.

2nd stay at the Angel I would stay nowhere else!!!(in that area!)Great accommodation, proffessional , clean,comfortable, absolutely nothing was too much trouble!! Great food!!! We had booked very last minute to stay here (10.00 the night before arrival) by 5.00 the following morning my partner has COVID . They refused to cancel the booking or transfer it into someone else's name. The booking is for this evening so we have decided to go with COVID to save wasting 60.00 !!

The Sunday Lunch. Both had the Topside Bee Sunday Roast. Quality Service Quality food Quality Taste Lovely table for two The house red wine also very good with the roast beef. Puddings...just try the cumble.

Chelsea and Kate did a fabulous job of sorting out my dilema I had when I came to stay over for a 2 day interview. Not only did they have to put up with this drama but they managed to help solve a heated discussion about "wooden boats" :D Thank you ladies for the stay, and hopefully see you all soon in the future for another stay no doubt. Friendly place in the middle of the small town. Our rooms were at the back of the courtyard at ground level for easy acces. Also this meant that the doors could be open to communicate (we were 3 adults together). Even though it was a warm evening the noise from the bar terrace was OK. Spacious rooms, clean and with all necessary facilities. Plenty of restaurants in the High Street (the hotel restaurant was closed on our evening).

Popped in for a cup of tea , We were greeted straight away by smile ( First one of the day and much appreciated).Very nice young lady . We decided to stay and have something to eat . Good choice , Both my Wife and I were very pleased with the food and service . If you find yourself in the area We would thoroughly recommend you visit
