Kokomo Private Island Fiji

Nous n'avions pas voyagé depuis Covid, c'était une combinaison de célébrations pour nous, le 50ème anniversaire de mon mari était en mai, notre 23ème anniversaire de mariage ainsi que le 21ème anniversaire de notre fille qui avait eu lieu seulement 2 semaines auparavant et je fêtais mon 53ème anniversaire à Kokomo. . Par où commencer, si je pouvais donner 11/10, je le ferais. Ma famille et moi avons voyagé partout dans le monde et séjourné dans de nombreux magnifiques complexes hôteliers. Cela fait presque 17 ans que nous n'avons pas visité les Fidji. J'ai réservé 8 nuits à Kokomo pour passer du temps en famille. Nous avons des jumeaux identiques de 19 ans et une fille, comme mentionné, de 21 ans. Mon mari et moi étions convaincus que cela pourrait être nos dernières vacances « en famille » sans partenaires, etc. Je n'aurais pas pu demander plus, ni souhaité en plus c'était merveilleux. Dès notre arrivée au hangar dans la salle d'attente avec un verre de champions. Michael, notre pilote d'hélicoptère, était formidable, soulignant toutes les stations balnéaires, les spots de surf et les récifs, ce qui en soi était un bon début. Nous avons été conduits au salon principal du « Beachshack » et quel accueil de bienvenue avec tout le personnel qui chantait pour nous. Dan nous a montré notre villa de 3 chambres au coucher du soleil qui dépassait tout juste mes attentes. Je savais d'après les photos que ça allait être magnifique mais j'étais très ému, c'était tout simplement parfait. Les vues étaient à couper le souffle et vous sortez directement de votre villa et faites de la plongée avec tuba car le récif est juste devant. Le lendemain, c'était mon anniversaire après un copieux petit-déjeuner (vous n'aurez pas faim ici), la nourriture est tout simplement délicieuse et l'embarras du choix et mes fils en particulier ont adoré le repas toute la journée. Il n'y a pas que des hamburgers, il y a des linguine au steak et au crabe ou vous pouvez également vous faire livrer de la nourriture dans l'un des 3 restaurants si vous préférez rester à l'intérieur. Nous avons eu nos massages de 45 minutes inclus dans notre séjour. Dan et Miriam ont organisé mon dîner d'anniversaire qui était si spécial que la table dressée avec des fleurs fraîches dans notre villa en bord de mer que je voulais était au niveau supérieur. L'attention portée aux détails, j'avais montré à Dan mes photos de mariage une heure avant le dîner et il a remarqué sur les photos que je portais un collier de frangipanier, alors il m'a arrangé un collier de frangipanier, Miriam a demandé à Lei le photographe de prendre de belles photos de famille et ne le laissons pas oubliez mon gâteau d'anniversaire à la noix de coco qui vient de couronner le tout. Ils avaient également une serveuse pour nous servir tous nos plats préférés pour la soirée, un grand merci aux chefs Andy pour les fruits de mer incroyables et à Caroline pour ce délicieux curry à ne pas manquer le lundi soir. Dan et le personnel sont revenus me chanter une belle chanson de joyeux anniversaire après le dîner. Je me souviendrai de mon 53 e anniversaire pour le reste de ma vie. La soirée Kava a été un autre moment spécial, un peu plus de rapprochement, alors que je restais assis à regarder ma famille rire, chanter et boire du kava. Nos fils ont participé à une partie de touch foot avec les garçons de Baywatch, encore une fois très amusant. Stephen qui a organisé une activité de préparation de cocktails que nous avons beaucoup appréciée. J'ai fait un cocktail ce soir-là au cocktail des managers

Arrêtez de lire et réservez-le ! C'est un complexe hôtelier de premier ordre. Nous sommes allés au Four Seasons, Aman, One & Only et tout le reste et c'est le meilleur des meilleurs ! J'ai voyagé avec ma femme et mes 2 enfants (3 et 10 mois) et dès votre atterrissage à Nadi, l'équipe Kokomo vous emmène dans son hangar privé. Le cintre est magnifique, ils ont des salles de bains et des douches pour se changer avant l'hydravion et une chambre pour les plus petits. Lorsque nous avons atterri à Kokomo, nous avons été accueillis par Heather et son équipe dans une entrée de bienvenue des plus étonnantes. Nous avons ensuite été surclassés dans une résidence qui était INSANE ! L'ensemble du personnel de l'île nous a traités comme des membres de la famille et a répondu à tous nos besoins. Je recommanderais de rester du côté ouest de l'île. C'est plus proche de tout et l'eau est beaucoup plus calme pour se baigner. Il y a tellement d'activités à faire sur l'île et le seul regret est de ne pas y rester assez longtemps.

This hotel was AMAZING best time EVER. If I could give 7 stars I would!. the waiter was realllllllyyyyyy nice if you know what I mean ;p. I and my 17 friends had so much fun with the 17 butlers and the 1 really nice waiter. we went skinnydipping every night with the nice "guy" Every night was so freeing and sensational. the room was really spacious I had the California king bed and my friends had the foot-long couch to share they LOVED it! The food was so good it wasn't ever-raw it was always hot in my mouth the waiter ;p made sure. the 17 butlers had fun cleaning up our panties and other stuff on the floor. overall would suggest make sure you book the room with Filipe ;p ( shhhh don't tell our hubbies girl getaway)

My husband and I had a thoroughly magical week at Kokomo in November. It is a pinch-me place. Much has been written here about the amazing service and experiences, so I will add some specific tips: -Make sure to visit the Kokocabana restaurant by the pool. At first we dismissed it thinking it was just a pizza place for kids, but the chef, Enzo, is from Napoli and came to our table on our first visit to find out what we like and then brought out one delicious dish after another. I think it’s not as popular as the Plank because it’s not on the beach, but don’t miss out on Enzo’s food. -Stay on west side for sunsets and less wind. -Take time to talk with the staff. Such beautiful and friendly people work there who are happy to share interesting stories of their families and their home islands. I found Fijians to be very warm, and they don’t hesitate in asking questions. -Do the farm tour. Very interesting to see how veggies and fruits are grown in challenging conditions, plus you get a backstage peek at the impressive infrastructure on island. -Explore the Great Austrolabe Reef if you snorkel or dive. One of the largest barrier reefs in the world. Dive staff are great. -Check out the coral nurseries in the house lagoon (the marine scientists on staff are doing good work).

This is such a fabulous resort and reaching it by helicopter was a superb experience. We were greeted by the manager,Grant, and then staff singing and playing guitars as a welcome - my wife was moved to tears! Here to celebrate my big birthday and we could not fault the warm friendly staff who quickly became our friends. Everyone from gardeners to the chef were so cheery and happy you immediately felt they love working here. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so flexible with timings for meals ,activities in fact just about anything. Our villa was large,first class and overlooked the beautiful bay as we enjoyed lovely sunsets. Food was exceptional and full of innovative flavours without being over powering. There is plenty to do here and we enjoyed a full days fishing, though we never managed to catch the big game fish but were happy with the large snappers. The wine choice is excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed a wine tasting session with the very knowledgable sommelier - Stephen. You must also try Ben’s cocktails. You often see glamourised videos and pictures of resorts only to be disappointed when you arrive. Well you wont be with Kokomo Island - it is exactly what you see on their website. Their farewell, again with singers etc,was equally as moving as their welcome! Five days of bliss and we cannot wait to return. Thank you Grant and all the family at Kokomo Island

My wife & I travelled to Fiji from San Francisco. Stayed at Kokomo from May 27th -May 30 . I have rated them Excellent for the following reasons... 1) Welcome & Exit islands local songs by the resort team 2) Food choices were very palate satiating 3) Activity for every day was filled with lots of fun 4) Visiting another private island & Glass bottom boat for sighting corals were memorable 5) Sea plane trips on time & comfortable Our Thanks to the following personnel's & all Restaurant employees 1) Caroline (Chef at the the Plank Restaurant) For take home sauces 2) Shyamal Director for the buggy trip around the facilities 3) Kali (Everyday coordinator for arranging activities) NARAYAN

Right from when we arrived at the Kokomo hanger in Nadi we were impressed, we were greeted and given tea or coffee and snacks. We were then loaded onto the helicopter and had a most enjoyable flight across to the Island, the Captain was most informative and gave us a good scenic flight. When we arrived at the Island we were taken down to the reception and were met by a chorus of wonderful Fiji greeting songs performed by all the staff. The Island is spectacular with wonderful blue green water and white sand. We were taken to our room and what a surprise, very large with our own swimming pool and facing the blue water and white sand. All the staff here are something else, so friendly and extremely helpful. The layout of the Island is easy to navigate if you want to walk, but there is also a porter service that all you have to do is call reception and in a very short time a friendly porter is at your door taking you to your destination. You have the choice of three restaurants all with a different theme and the food is excellent again with friendly accommodating chefs, who can cater for all your wants. The fishing here is great and the crew on the fishing vessels are helpful and knowledgeable there is a variety of fish to catch all in a short ride out from the Island. My Wife and I have traveled extensively and going to numerous 4 and 5 star resorts. Kokomo, is a step ahead of any we have visited, to rate Kokomo as a 5 star is an underestimate I would add at least another making it a 6 star property. We certainly will come back again

We have recently stayed at Amankila in Bali, St Regis in Bali, Mandarin Oriental Canouan, One & Only Mandarina, St Regis Bora Bora, Conrad Bora Bora, and many other top-tier resorts around the world. In our experience, Kokomo Private Island is the best of the best.

It’s been over a week since my family and I returned from the pretty sandy shores of Kokomo Private Island. Located an hour away from mainland Fiji, this luxury resort is by far one of the best places we have visited in our one of hundred vacations. From the welcoming song, bula smiles to the point where you get comfort in your villa, every one went out of their way to treat us so well. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel great and certainly they sit well in carrying out their luxury Kokomo brand. A special mention must go to Caroline - Head Chef at Walker D Plank for her extraordinary customer service, she smiled, she sat down, and she made us feel like royalty for a day. From her Asian menus to her delicious pork ribs, Caroline can whip up anything, as my husband says she has the hands of god, and more so a wonderful person behind that chefs attire. She cannot be missed. Second special mention must go to a back of house staff, Josh, who probably did computer science but should definitely be working with guest experience manager, Josh caught us walking from spa to the shack and offered us a lift, it was just amazing how Josh carried his words, not once making us feel like bored, he went out his way to drop us at the shack. What was more surprising is even after our dinner, and now upon writing this, makes us miss Josh a little too much today, a strong contender to lead guest experiences in near future, like my husband says. And lastly, to Leba, her warmth and love was genuinely shown upon as she served us our plates at the shack. And the nanny’s who took care of our kids deserve a special mention too. We will definitely be coming back to visit Kokomo over and over again, the amazing staff, and evenings dinners with Caroline, and hopefully run into Josh again.
