The hotel is a bit old. Facilities are needed to be upgraded. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great, just a 3-minute-long walk to the train station.

The hotel is convenient as it is close to train station. Quality of dinner and breakfast is just fair, like eating at fast food shop.

As most commenters said, the facility and furniture are indeed with certain ages. Location is good and window outside view is fabulous. The staff are nice except one male reception staff is a bit severed, he insisted the breakfast last order is 8:00am as both dinner and breakfast are sets for each person and well prepared on the table before your scheduled time. It is too early compares to global standard especially for a family with a 5 years old child,we were trying to require for the later timeframe but he shaked his head with no further assistance,while by next morning I saw there was another table guests arrived after 8:20am but their meal is also well-prepared on the table awaits for them. The food is very Japanese local style,fresh and special with different spices,good for a try

The private hot spring inside the room was so dirty with aged black stains. The staff came to our room and tried to clean those stains with a small towel. After rubbing, the white towel turned to brown. So we didn't use it at all.

The hotel is located about 7 minutes walk from Yufuin station. It is not so close to the walking street and so not so noisy and crowdy. The staff are polite and can explain to us in English. The room is big and they will serve you the tatami bed at 6pm. There are 2 public onsens, one for men and one for women. Only 1-2 people were using when I went in. I didn't book the dinner and breakfast there because there are many foods in the walking street. The view of the balcony is good too. I drank beer and sat very comfortably to look at the night view that night after taking the hotspring. What a life!

The hotel is a bit old but very clean. Staff are nice and speak English well. Quite near to railway station that we didn't bother to reserve time whenever we wanna go for sightseeing and buying souvenir.

The hotel facilities including the room we lives is very dilapidated. Even worse, the room is filled with urine smell once we entered the room. The service was bad as the staff was not helpful at all. Overall, it was a very dissatisfied experience considering this was a second time we booked this hotel for family vacation. Terrible experience indeed.

Personally, I was disappointed that the service, the receptionist didn't help us carry the bag to the room, I ordered during dinner, and the main rice came out late. Dinner and breakfast were below expectations compared to meals at other hotels. The facilities were very old, overall, not really value for money. Maintenance and refurbishment is recommended.

Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Onsen was clean and nice. It’s an old onsen hotel. Overall it’s a good stay.

Located close to Yufuin Station (5 minute walk). Excellent breakfast and dinner. Stayed in beautiful Japanese room with private outdoor Onsen. Good for families and couples.

The dinner and breakfast are excellent! The service is great too! The place is quiet and spacious.

The hotel seemed short of staff, but their food is yummy and really full each breakfast and dinner. However why Trips.com booked 2 person set of breakfast & dinner for me ?
