The hotel is right on the edge of Zamudio and down a small path off the main road so it is very quiet. The property is surrounded by trees and cannot be seen from the road. The owners were very welcoming when I arrived providing information on where to go for groceries and for lunch and a drink. My room was large with a big bed, closet and desk. The floor was tiled and there were huge wooden beams both upright and across the ceiling. The bathroom was a good size. Everything was very clean. There were big windows but as it was at the back of the building and away from the afternoon sun the room was a little dark. I noticed a table and chairs outside the main window but it was too cool to sit outside in the shade that day. I struggled with the wifi which worked on and off but dropped out frequently. It was much better in the restaurant area at breakfast so possibly just doesn't stretch well to the sleeping rooms. There was a large lounge area in reception that was dark and apparently unused, possibly due to covid precautions. Breakfast is available and seems reasonably substantial - cereal, orange juice, toast, fruit, tomato, ham and so on. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't do it justice but it is probably worth the cost. My only real complaint was around the soundproofing. I could hear guests in the room next door. Fortunately, they did not keep late hours but I did hear one get up and bump around a bit in the early hours. They probably heard me too. Overall, this is a nice place to stay with very welcoming hosts and pretty surroundings.
