The hotel location is good. Quite quick and convenient for checking in the hotel. However, the room was outdated with old carpet. The air condition was very old and so loud.

For a 4 stars hotel, it was a bit of a disappointment. Marriot hotels are definitely better outside the UK. When we arrived, we had been travelling for over 5 hours, so we were tired and just wanted to collapse in the room. Instead, we were given an extended explanation at Reception on how a hotel 'works' and that we'd get complimentary wi-fi. Don't ALL hotels have free wi-fi these days??? Also, they wanted to charge us for parking without checking first whether we had a car (which we didn't). When we got to the room, we found it a bit dated. There had been an attempt to update by adding a USB extension on the bedside table - however, this extension had two very bright lights, which I had to cover with a towel to be able to get some sleep. The pillows were way too soft, and they'd also tried to make the mattress softer by placing a duvet (instead of a mattresses topper) under the bed sheet - this ended up making the mattress feel quite lumpy. There was a mini fridge in the room, but it was empty (you had to go downstairs to get snacks). Also, the coffee and tea tray was hidden and very basic. For a 4 stars hotel, the complimentary stuff was basic and when I went to ask about getting slippers or a bath robe, I was told that's only available to premium rooms. However, I have to say that even though the room didn't meet expectations, it was very clean. In terms of the restaurant, the breakfast was delicious. However, the food was placed in cast iron pots under heat lamps, and covered with lids. The lids got very hot under the lamps, so getting your food was a bit of an endurance challenge. As mentioned above, the room was very clean, but I can't say the same about the restaurant. We were sat by the window and there were some cobwebs and dead flies - since we were in the country, a few flies are to be expected, but when the fly cemetary looks the same two days in a row, that suggests nobody dusted there. Not great having your meal while waiting for a spider to climb up the web and join you. The gym was good and had free towels and very helpful staff. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked nice. Overall, some good things, but still a bit of a disappointment and never would've guessed that was a 4 star hotel. Not good value for money.

Beds, t.v, storage, tea facilities, hair dryer and shower were fine but toilet did not flush well and only one lift working. When you are on the fourth floor with luggage, you do not want to climb stairs, but people, particularly the cleaners can intercept lifts and you end up stuck in the lift for ages, because it does not go to the floor that was pre pressed. Breakfast was good and location good, but checking in was slow. Receptionist also asked me how to pronounce and spell my surname which did make me laugh because it is one of the most common surnames around that being Wilson. Mind you, her English was very poor and I had difficulty understanding her. It was alright but if I were to go again, I would choose the premier in next time. That one looked better.

Our stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning. The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding. Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.  The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting. These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments. In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay.

La location est bonne. Super service. Mais les chambres et les équipements sont trop vieux, il faut être réparés et rénovés. Le toit de bains de baignoire a beaucoup de tins.l'apparence trop inconfortable. Le bar caffe n'était pas propre.

Je ne pense pas que quelque chose irait mal comme pour les séjours d'une nuit dans de nombreux hôtels où j'ai séjourné. J'aime l'unique que dégage l'hôtel, très accentué par les marches intérieures, les virages et les multiples couloirs. Cela peut être assez difficile si vous avez des bagages lourds, surtout quand c'est plus qu'un morceau. Bravo à Jamie (le réceptionniste de quart) car il a été d'une grande aide. J'oublierais le petit-déjeuner anglais complet si je restais plus d'une journée, car il est pratiquement imbibé d'huile. Il y a une pompe à pression dans la salle de bain qui sonne toutes les 20 minutes et cela rend le sommeil difficile car j'ai le sommeil léger. La chambre qui m'a été attribuée chauffe lorsque le soleil frappe la façade ouest de l'hôtel et c'est très inconfortable de ne pas sortir de la chambre. Dans l'ensemble, un séjour agréable et j'espère que mes commentaires donneront une impulsion à l'amélioration.

Great overnight stay at the Swindon Holiday Inn.   Room was fresh and fully stocked for tea and coffee.  Shower was great.  Breakfast was well laid out, although mushrooms and a choice of egg styles / pastries could have tipped the balance to match a Premier Inn.   Staff on reception, breakfast and room housekeeping were so friendly and helpful.  The value for money was excellent.

Il est très difficile de s'y rendre sans voiture. Il a fallu environ une heure de marche depuis la gare de Bath. Le paysage était magnifique, mais la marche était difficile à cause de la pluie et de la nuit tombée. La literie, la propreté et l'eau courante étaient bonnes. Je me suis réveillé le matin et je suis allé au restaurant. La vue était belle et la nourriture était bonne. Le personnel était sympathique et j'ai passé un bon moment dans une chambre petite mais propre. Le matin, la vue était belle, alors j'ai longé la rivière jusqu'aux thermes romains. Le chant des oiseaux et de l'eau, ainsi que le magnifique environnement naturel, étaient merveilleux. C'était vraiment agréable.

Our stay may have been coloured by the rainy weather because in sunnier times the views from the Leigh Park Hotel would have been even better. The train station to Bath from Bradford upon Avon is very walkable but it is downhill from the hotel (some very steep bits) nearly all the way and after a busy day in Bath we elected to get a taxi back the walk back up that hill would have put a downer on the day (and I normally do 4 mile runs twice a week, so I am pretty fit!) The room we had was really big, as was the bathroom. The shower was really powerful and got warm almost immediately. The staff were really friendly and the the ambience of the hotel was classy. The breakfast area looking out over the grounds was really nice and I'd definitely like to sit there and enjoy a drink on a summer's evening. I managed to charge my electric car with the type 2 charging station. Unfortunately, it only delivered 7 kW so I only managed a small top up. The hotel breakfast was self service but the containers that were holding the food failed to keep it particularly warm. That is something that could be improved. Also the breakfast choice could have been a little wider (e.g. no tomatoes were offered as part of the English Breakfast). Having said that the breakfast tasted good. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider visiting again.

Absolutely no issues, its historic and modern all at once, and the staff are nice. the only weord thing was there wasn't enough hot water at 7pm, arguably an unusual time to take a bath but hey, still didnt expect to have to top it up with boiling water from the kettle in this day and age and it didnt seem to match the vibe of the hotel.
