The Coast View hotel felt a bit dated, but it was generally clean. The TV wasn't working, but it was fixed immediately. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were delicious, and the staff were very helpful.

Despite multiple email requests since returning home, I haven't received a detailed statement of the total amount, so I'm confused about what was charged to my room and how much.Could you please attach it to an email as soon as possible?
This villa was absolutely amazing! Felt like we stayed at a traditional house with food served right on the patio. Very comfy beds, pillows, nice shower... just had to wait for a while for the water to heat up, and super clean. The only problem were the crows since the villa is right next to the beach but I don't think the hotel can do anything about that. Just have to have your meals and quickly clean up before the crows fly in.
OVerall a lovely hotel and super nice staff at reception. Rooms are very spacious and nice comfy beds.
Slight communication error when we asked for a tuk tuk and he took us to somewhere we hadn't asked & good job I has my google maps to recognise we were headed to wrong place!
Pool is lovely for a swim and nice to have complimentary drinks at 430pm too with a little snack, the games area upstairs was fun too but just very hot up there.
Location was really good , the roof top view was the showstopper of the property. As we were travelling with an infant we found the staff very helpful with preparing the meals for the baby. Arabian sea view room was excellent.
L'hôtel est très bien situé et l'hôtel est juste bien. Il faut une rénovation autour du chemin qui mène à la plage. ***y choisir cette location pour faciliter l'accès aux plages, si cela n'est pas maintenu, il conduira à déception.
Le SPA n'est pas par espérance et l'entretien du spa est très mauvais. La nourriture est supérieure à la moyenne. Le petit déjeuner buffet est bon mais la variété n'est pas pour ceux qui restent plus longtemps. Dans l'ensemble, c'était une bonne expérience. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très gentil et très bien informé et nous avons entendu parler de nos préoccupations.

IInvitéSmall little cosy resort. Very convenient location and boat jetty, waterfront, top restaurants are all very walkable and near. The room is clean, has old heritage feel and tasteful furniture.
Staff is very helpful, specially Sumith was managing the breakfast crowd nicely and helping everyone.
plenty of autos are around the place and do not forget to visit several cafes nearby for old world charm and tasty food.

AAnishPhilipOur stay at Prayana Hotel in Ernakulam was overall a really good experience, mainly because of the warm hospitality and excellent service provided by the staff. Right from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The welcome drink was a refreshing touch, setting the tone for a pleasant stay. The reception team was efficient and courteous, handling check-in smoothly and ensuring we had all the necessary details about our stay. A special mention to the bellboys, who were extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Their attentiveness made a great impression.
The hotel’s location is a big plus. It is conveniently situated, making it easy to get around the city, whether for sightseeing, shopping, or business. The accessibility and surroundings added to the overall positive experience.
While we truly appreciated the service, there were a few areas that could be improved. The restaurant at the bottom of the hotel didn’t offer much variety in terms of food options, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been great to have more choices, especially for those staying longer. The rooms did not have kettles, which is something many travellers look forward to for a quick cup of tea or coffee. Bathing cubes (shower enclosures) were missing, making the bathroom experience a little less convenient. We also faced an issue with towels not being provided even after requesting them, which was a small letdown.
That being said, the staff’s dedication and the overall comfort of the stay overshadowed these minor inconveniences. Their attentiveness, polite behaviour, and willingness to help made all the difference. Despite a few missing amenities, the hospitality and prime location make Prayana Hotel a great choice for travellers. We appreciate the warmth and care shown to us and would definitely consider staying again in the future!
IInvitéI was weary about booking as the website photos looked quite tired. All of the photos are really old - it was an amazing stay and so much better than I expected. I enjoyed the complementary pottery making and the tea cart in the afternoons. The food à la carte was absolutely delicious. I avoided the buffet a bit as I do in all hotels. The pool is clean and there is excellent service, with staff helping you with towels, umbrellas, and drinks. The rooms are really pretty. Good air con. The gym is good and has air con although the air con is not as powerful as in the bedrooms. The gym has two treadmills, a static bike, basic leg press, weight rack and bench, and some of the arm/shoulder machines too. There were only a few downsides. 1) The beach that it backs onto is actually quite gross (there was nappy in the sand and gunk that looked like sewage), but it’s easy to avoid this. 2) The beach has a real drop from the sand into sea so it’s not very safe to swim in unless you want to be smacked against the bank. These two things don’t matter though as the hotel is lovely and there is enough to do that you don’t need to go on the beach. 3) I booked 2 nights in one booking and 1 night in another booking. I asked when I booked the single, third night, whether I can keep the same room. They said they’d let me know at check in. They didn’t let me know at check in. They said they’d tell me on the second day in the day, but nothing. I kept asking at reception and I called them on the phone twice, and they kept saying they’d call me back. It was 9.30pm on the night before I’d have to move rooms before they told me I could stay. I’m not really sure why it took so long or they messed me around on this as 3 of my exact rooms were available on the website for those nights, so by that logic it would not have been a problem!
IInvitéGreat hotel with all the comforts and amenities of a 4 star like category hotel. The bathroom, bed, toiletries, towel etc are top notch. The staffs are very polite and courteous. The complimentary breakfast is awesome.

Le bon: les installations de l'hôtel sont vraiment excellentes et méritent la visite.
Le défi : L'exécution du service, malheureusement, ne correspond pas aux normes de l'établissement. Le petit déjeuner était particulièrement amusant d'une manière involontaire : le personnel a présenté ce que je appelais ”hospitalité de mouvement brunyan” lots de mouvement énergétique, mais pas toujours dans des directions productives. Les éléments ont été souvent oubliés et les suivis deviennent plus nécessaires que prévu.
Le sujet : Nous avons demandé un checkout tardif jusqu'à 1:00 pm. Le bureau frontal n'a approuvé qu'une extension 30-minute, mais notre factur reflète un checkout tardif 2-hour. Cette différence requiert une attention immédiate de la gestion.
Recommandations : Le bâtiment bénéficierait d'une formation de personnel complet afin d'aligner la qualité du service sur les excellentes installations.
Ligne de bas: Les installations rendent cet hôtel utile, mais l'équipe de gestion doit investir dans la formation des services et la cohérence opérationnelle.
J'espère que la gestion abordera ces préoccupations rapidement.

IInvitéWe were in Kovalam at this property for a week. First things first, the rooms we got were nice, had a decent balcony overlooking the front of the property, the air conditioning and hot water worked well. It is really close to a wonderful beach, some small shops and local food joints and only a short walk away from a quiet beach and spots that you could enjoy.
The property itself had a lot of work going on, so I can understand that they were preparing for a major tourist season and it might become better. The pool was dry and I was hoping that I'd get to enjoy some pool time but that did not happen. Perhaps due to the low tourist season, the restaurant had limited dish choices but the food was good. The staff is very sweet and nice but the hotel can do with some more thorough upgrades with housekeeping, such as providing fresh towels timely and so on. Otherwise, the hotel is nice but my family and I felt that for the price we paid, we could have gotten more for the price. Nevertheless, it is a good and decent hotel, I wouldn't keep high expectations. It will certainly get 10/10 for it's location and sweet staff.
This is not to reflect on the hotel management or staff directly or negatively but it would be nice if they set ground rules for some big tourist groups they get, particularly the Gujarati tour groups, in reminding them of maintaining the calm and quiet on the property. Again, it is more about the tourist behavior than anything on the hotel itself.
