« During our recent trip, we booked a stay at a hotel that, for the most part, delivered a comfortable and pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and the facilities were well-maintained—everything we look for when choosing accommodation. By all usual standards, this would have been a solid, trouble-free stay that we would happily recommend to friends and family. However, there was one major catch that set this hotel apart from every other place we have ever stayed in, and it left us feeling frustrated and confused: their strict policy regarding linens and security deposits. In all the hotels, resorts, and guesthouses we have visited over the years, the standard rule has always been simple: treat the property with respect, avoid intentional damage, and you will get your full security deposit back upon checking out. Minor spills, accidental marks from daily use, or small stains that come naturally with staying in a room are almost always considered part of regular wear and tear. Housekeeping teams handle cleaning these as part of their daily duties, and deposits are rarely held unless there is significant damage, broken furniture, or missing items. This is the industry norm we have come to expect, and it makes traveling stress-free. This hotel operates very differently. Their policy states clearly that guests must take extreme care of all linens—including bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, and even table cloths found in the room. Even small, accidental stains from food, drinks, cosmetics, or dirt are not accepted. If any linen is marked, stained, or appears to have been used in a way they consider improper, the management reserves the right to keep your entire security deposit.  It felt unfair and overly strict. Unlike other places that charge a reasonable fee for cleaning or replacement if needed, this hotel takes the full amount you set aside as a deposit, regardless of the issue’s size or cost. It felt less like a policy to protect their property and more like an unexpected way to deduct extra charges. The whole situation made what was otherwise a nice stay feel sour and disappointing. We left feeling like we had to walk on eggshells the whole time, worrying that one small mistake would cost us extra money. Despite this frustrating experience, we have to admit: aside from this unusual rule, the hotel itself is fine. The location was convenient, the rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the service was friendly. If you are planning to stay here, just be fully aware of their unique approach to linens and deposits. Read every line of their policy carefully, ask questions upfront, and be extra cautious with every item in the room. This policy is definitely different from any we have encountered before—we would even call it weird and unnecessary compared to how other hotels operate. It takes away some of the relaxation that comes with traveling. Still, if you are willing to follow their strict rules to the letter, you can still have a comfortable stay. Just make sure you know exactly what you are agreeing to, or you might end up losing your security deposit like we did. »

« Hello, I would like to commend on how alta d' tagaytay handled our entire vacation. We stayed there for three days and 2 nights and I could really say that their service is superb, high class and you are really going to get the value of service that you have paid for. From their very accommodating frontdesk to the food servers and housekeeping staff. They keep on greeting every guest with a smile like it's always their first time to see us everyday. Their shuttle is also one call away and very fast, not to mention their drivers that are also very polite and knowledgeable. They even provide an instruction regarding the floors of the amenities and restaurants within the building. As for the restaurants, they have a variety of food that you can choose from. Their breakfast buffet is also magnificent and if I am going to rate the food that we have tasted , I would give it a 10/10 Regarding our room, we had a very relaxing experience. Upon opening the door, you will be welcomed by the classy cleanliness and smell of the air freshener. Make up room requests are also fast accommodated by housekeeping but the most important part that has caught our attention was the complimentary birthday cakes that were provided by the hotel to our 2 daughters. That makes it more magical. Lastly, the pool is very accessible right beside La Cresta restaurant and they even have a lifeguard to look after your kids if ever. The Jacuzzi has just the right amount of warmness. They even provide laundry bags for your wet clothes (not all hotels provide that) even some of the highest rated ones. Overall, the view, the staff, the service, amenities and superb all around experience is enough to say that we would definitely return to this hotel. »

« The plus of Taal Vista Hotel: Good service, acceptable food quality, incredible view, very nice spa/wellness center, good location. The cons of Taal Vista Hotel: rooms should have been renovated at least 5 years ago (but fair size). They just started with one small part of the building, but at this speed, expect 5 more years. Also, we could hear our room neighbours receiving sms (ping!), just as an indication of the level of privacy! Swimming Pool is small and there is no real gym. We won't go again. »

« I've been to several hotels in Tagaytay already and I always come back to Casiana. It's great compared to other pricey hotels. The staff are friendly and the buffet is good too. The rooms are spacious (with balcony) and the toilets are modern. Parking is always available. The pool needs a little bit of cleaning. It is big compared to other hotels in the area - 4 feet for adults. The only thing I am constantly having a problem is the wifi in the room. Sometimes it disappears and is not consistent. I wish they would fix it since it has been a problem for way back in 2023 when I started to go to this hotel. I attached the photo of the custom eggs they made for us while eating our buffet. It was a nice touch. »

« The hotel is near Sm, 7/11, and different fast food restaurants so it's easy to buy what you need/want. The staffs are nice and the room is clean. Although I noticed a crack on the wall and the aircon is not properly installed, like there are some gaps. Also, the room is kinda small for the price and the TV is not working or we just can't use it but there's no remote, and we even asked the staff about it but they never came back after. »

« First time to visit a resort and beach in Batangas, and I must say that Altamare exceeded my expectations. I love the activities you can do, though it is limited, but still worth it. The vibe of being so peaceful and calm, since it is away from the noise, is the best thing of this resort. The services and foods are very good. You just need to be prepared of the stairs, it is very challenging! Overall it was really really good experience. »

« When we arrived at the resort, the nature vibe and peaceful ambience instantly stood out. The staff, even the guard at the front gate, welcomed us with smiles and their service was consistently great from check-in to check-out. Check-in was super quick, which I appreciated since I was with a senior citizen. We stayed in Cabana 101, the room was spacious and had everything we needed. There were two dining tables, one in the patio and one inside, plus a griller. The jacuzzi inside the room was such a nice bonus which my mom really enjoyed, and toiletries were already provided in the bathroom. One of my favorite parts was the buggy service. My mom is a senior and a PWD, and she really enjoyed it. We didn’t even need to use her mobility scooter at all. The pool area was clean and well maintained, and the hot spring was so relaxing. The view around the resort was beautiful too. Breakfast was okay for the price, but again, the staff made the experience so pleasant because they were very accommodating and warm. I also love that it’s pet-friendly. My only small suggestions would be to limit the live band until 10 p.m. since it’s a nature resort and maybe add more sockets inside the room. Oh and also, maybe add a light in the griller section of the Cabanas. We had to use our flashlights when we grilled at night. Overall, we had such a good stay. The place was peaceful, the staff were amazing and highly commendable, and we’re already planning our next visit! »

La plage, la piscine, le bowling, le billard, le badminton, même l'archerie douce, agréé par tous de nos plus jeunes (9y/o) à nos seniors (77y/o). Tous les membres du personnel étaient étonnamment utiles. Je recommanderais certainement. »
