I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The first great point is the proximity to the Fukushima Station. When I arrived, my check-in process was handled by the Manager, Matsuda-san. He was very friendly and warm. The room I stayed in was decently-sized, giving me enough room to walk around with a large suitcase and other bags on the floor. A suitcase stand and a small stool are provided. The beige wallpaper provided a nice contrast to the dark carpet. The controls for the room were absolutely fantastic - I could, for instance, adjust the brightness of the main light and the strength of the bathroom exhaust fan. The bathroom was slightly cramped, but I managed. An alarm clock is also provided for guests. The default blanket in the room was far too hot; even with the heating turned off, I felt like I was being roasted while I was in bed with the blanket covering me (and this was in winter!). I didn't like the default pillow either, it was too hard. On my last night, I requested a thinner blanket and softer pillow. Thankfully, the hotel was able to provide them, and I slept much better after using the new blanket and pillow. Funnily enough, the mattress was also quite hard, but it didn't give me any problems. The sound insulation was fantastic, and the cleaning staff were super quiet! I almost couldn't tell that they were outside my room doing their work! I also very likely had considerate Japanese guests on my floor, hence the peace. Nearby the hotel is S-Pal, where you can buy all sorts of prepared meals (if you're lucky, you can find a few vegan options). There's also a large pharmacy, and there are many convenience stores around. The main complaint I have is that the check-out time @ 10:00 is too early. I think 12:00 would be a better time. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those. I definitely recommend Hotel Route-Inn Grand Fukushima Ekimae to others, and I will definitely consider staying at Route-Inn hotels in other parts of Japan! Side Notes: (1) If you have large luggage and arrive at the Fukushima Station, you'll have to take the elevator at the west exit, and when you reach the ground floor you'll see another elevator about 20 metres in front of you (slightly to the left). This second elevator will take you to the underground passage, which you can use to get to the east side of the station, where Route-Inn Grand Fukushima is located. Do note that there is a rear entrance to the hotel (next to a public parking lot), and this will save you from walking to the front of the hotel with all your luggage. (2) Vegan options in Fukushima are unfortunately extremely limited, but you can find some vegan tofu bars and a few other items at 7-Eleven...but be sure to use Google Lens to translate the ingredients!

The hotel is situated right next to a breathtaking waterfall, offering a truly scenic retreat. The staff is attentive and helpful, though their English proficiency may vary. Both breakfast and dinner showcase the culinary delights of Japanese cuisine, and the onsen experience is simply phenomenal. For an even more luxurious stay, opt for a room with a private onsen, or consider upgrading to a higher-priced room that includes a complimentary one-hour private onsen session.

L'hôtel est magnifique, super confortable et se sent très exclusive, car il n'y a pas beaucoup de chambres. La zone commune avec le feu est tout. La chambre est énorme et les futons sont surprenantment confortables. Nous avons fait le demi-table (déjeuner et petit déjeuner) et c'était vraiment délicieux. Les personnels sont super amicals et utiles, service 10/10. Les bains publics Onsen sont magnifiques et donc relaxants perfect pour la fusion de douleurs musculaires. Pas de toilettes ou d'équipements, alors ne vous inquiétez pas si vous ne pouvez pas faire une réservation; les bains principaux sont mieux en tout cas! One Heads-up: C'est une ville légèrement soufreuse. L'odeur est forte et littéralement attachée à mes sièges de voiture pendant des jours. 😂 Amenez-vous un peu d'air fraiser!

La salle est trop grande, mais au contraire, je suis excitée et je me sens comme une aventure. J'ai vécu trois générations, mais je l'aime à tous les âges!

何と言っても露天風呂が眺望よく、 朝風呂の際には向かい岸にカモシカを見ながら入浴が出来ました。 お部屋は口コミにある古さは確かに感じますが、 空調や設備等は清潔に整えられており、 特段不自由等は感じないです。 また、従業員の方の接客も皆さん丁寧でお風呂と共にリフレッシュさせていただきました！ 朝食のときの甘酒すっごい美味しかったなあ…😋 また伺う機会があれば次は貸し切り風呂も予約してみたいです！

L'hôtel est juste à côté de la gare, bien que l'extérieur et la chambre semblent être un peu datées, mais tout est propre, et le lit est si grand et doux!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, making it very easy to get around the city. The room size is just right—not too small—and offers a comfortable stay. Overall, it’s a great value for money and perfect for travelers looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay.

En tant qu'amateur de cuisine japonaise, j'ai été pleinement satisfait du dîner et du petit-déjeuner. Le bain en plein air, baigné par la brise fraîche de la montagne le soir, a été une expérience apaisante en soi. J'y retournerai sans hésiter.

We enjoyed En Resort, a ski in ski out hotel. Although location is far from JR train station, the hotel provides complimentary shuttle bus service to and fro the train station. Shuttle bus service to the ski centre is on demand, so it is really convenient. Or just ski in ski out from hotel. Facilities at hotel includes public bath, heated swimming pool, complimentary massage chair, table tennis table, coffee at lobby, marshmallow roasting at lobby, laundry room, complimentary ice cream. Ski lift passes and ski/snowboard rental available at hotel. Lockers available too. We stayed for 5 days with half board meals. Totally enjoyed the food. Staff at reception and restaurant are very friendly.

Good location and helpful staff. However no shower cap provided in the rooms. There is no bottled water provided in the rooms as well.
