The Zhongwei Shadu Hotel is 4 star property located on a roundabout next to the highway linking Zhongwei with the Shapotou river scenic area. It's about 8 kilometres to town or about 20 yuan by taxi. The Shapotou river area is 11 kilometres away while the Shapotou desert area is about 16 kilometres away. The immediate area of the hotel once filled with shops and restaurants has now mainly closed down and is pretty much abandoned. The hotel itself offers fairly premium rooms with good beds, crisp linens, fresh towels and an excellent bathroom that holds a hot shower with good water pressure. A special note of appreciation to the very friendly and hard working housekeeping who really stand out at this property. The receptionists are not overly friendly but they are professional and are really trying to fulfil the guest's requests as expected from a property of this level. The female manager on duty when we checked in was avoiding eye contact and flatly refused to speak to me directly when I addressed her with an issue. One of the receptionists, the one who showed us our room, (unfortunately we don't know her name), was outstanding in her very friendly attitude. She was very mindful of problem solving. She should be recommended as the hotel's most outstanding employee especially when it comes to dealing with foreign guests. If the location out of town is acceptable for you, the Zhongwei Shadu Hotel is recommended as a decent four star hotel. Probably this hotel is most convenient for guests who arrive with their own car. Recommend ☀️☀️☀️

Excellent and friendly service! Modern and clean hotel! We highly recommend this hotel. It’s modern and with spacious and clean rooms. And the staff is outstanding. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and check in went super smooth. We got lots of information and it’s easy to communicate via the hotels WeChat. The staff didn’t speak so much English, but this was not any problem with translating apps and the translate function in WeChat. The staff felt us feel very welcome and they stood out as very professional and service minded. We have travelled a lot and the staff of Huanghe Xiyu hotel made a solid impression. The room was spacious and modern. It was very clean and nice. Good windows which could be opened. It also has mosquito nets. There were plenty water, a couple of complementary soft drinks and drip coffee and tea. Comfortable beds and several choices of pillows. The gym was also good. The breakfast was very good. Nice selections of diffferent items. Tasty and fresh. We enjoyed freshly made noodles and dumplings. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and service minded too. Overall a very good experience which we do recommended.

Un séjour merveilleux ! La chambre était spacieuse et bien équipée, ce qui a rendu notre séjour très confortable. La vue sur les vignes depuis la fenêtre était magnifique – nous sommes venus au printemps, mais je suis sûr que le paysage change magnifiquement au fil des saisons. Nous pouvions nous promener au soleil pendant la journée et admirer les étoiles la nuit. L'hôtel propose également des visites de cave et des plats locaux de Yinchuan. De plus, il est très bien situé pour visiter le mont Helan et les tombes des Xia occidentaux.

Un séjour inoubliable sous les tentes du désert ! Conçues avec soin, les tentes offraient à la fois ventilation et chaleur pour un confort optimal. Le personnel, incroyablement accueillant et attentionné, nous a fait sentir comme chez nous. Les repas, originaux et savoureux, proposaient de délicieuses spécialités du désert. Entre les activités du désert en journée et l'observation des étoiles la nuit, nous avons trouvé l'équilibre parfait entre détente et plaisir, pour une expérience fantastique. Un avis vraiment positif.

Of all the camps in the area to choose from I highly recommend staying at this particular one. The manager Wang Shiquan and his team are incredibly good hosts and made sure I had everything I needed. As a foreigner I felt incredibly welcomed and included. The tents are of really good quality and very roomy. The beds are really comfy too. The activities are also plentiful with quad biking, camel riding and sandboarding. Shapotou is very close by too with much to do. Ningxia is definitely an underrated province and I highly recommend anyone to come and see it and experience the kind hospitality of it's people from this camp. Thank you for a great stay.

La position géographique de l'hôtel est excellente, à 10 minutes à pied du bâtiment de tambour, les sœurs de la réception et les gardes du parking sont enthousiastes pour le service, la chambre est large et confortable, le petit déjeuner est riche, vous choisissez divers, pour la défense.

La position de l'hôtel est particulièrement bonne, à environ 20 minutes de la première voiture de la salope, il est également pratique de prendre la voiture, pas loin de la station de la Midwest et de la station du Sud. Les installations de l'hôtel sont un peu vieilles, mais la cabane est globalement propre et propre, le lit est difficile mais confortable à dormir. Il y a un supermarché et un hôtel en bas, et un poste, la sécurité est très assurée, l'attitude du serveur de la réception est très bonne, nous recommandons le rapport frais de glace à côté. L'hôtel est toujours réservé le jour même, le prix est toujours approprié, et le petit-déjeuner est de bonne qualité, en général, Les amis qui vont jouer en tête de sable peuvent choisir.

Nous avons eu un temps incroyable ici au camp des déserts 🐪 le personnel était très utile et nous avons pu faire beaucoup d'activités le site fourni. Note de côté : l'adresse du voyage n'est pas exacte, vous devriez appeler le camp avant de voyager pour vous aider à vous orienter.

Nice room. We had a room with a window but no view to the backyard which did not bother us because we were there only for sleeping. To use the shower you basically have to stand between the sink and toilet or on top of the toilet, which was not ideal but we had worse. The hotel is quite thin-walled. You can here other guests from their rooms and whats going on in the lobby, too. The personal was more than willing to help and friendly. There is also a tap water supply in the entrance room and we could take our bicycles to the room.

This hotel is a great choice if you are looking for an immersive experience in the desert! The hotel staff is very efficient and helped us order taxis, and upgadred us for free in order to have access to air conditioning, which thoroughly improved our stay. They also provide a wide range of activities in order to explore the desert, and a restaurant is available with a variety of choices. Overall, we would recommend this hotel and will definitely come back on our next trip to China!
