This location is conveniently located right off the interstate. The room is about what you would expect for a budget hotel except it is in need of serious upgrades. There was a huge hole in the wall of our room and numerous things needed to be fixed and repaired (cosmetic). The bed was clean and comfortable except for the pillows which were too bulky to sleep on. I used a towel for a pillow. Also there was a very loud vehicle running outside (sounded like a generator) until midnight. Not that this is the hotel’s fault but just shows the type of clientele. There weren’t very many vehicles there when we stayed. There are 3 other hotels in the same area (Wyngate, Comfort Inn, and one other that I can’t remember.)
The shuttle driver to the airport was the highlight of this stay, which, as a Sheraton, should not be the expectation. The desk staff were pleasant enough, but when leaving the lobby to cross the driveway to the second building where the room was located, we saw the most ridiculous situation I have ever encountered at a hotel or even MOTEL. The entry was a split level, ten or so steps up or down without any ramp or elevator. Seeing as the clerk saw we were traveling internationally and had three massive and heavy suitcases, placement in that location was inconvenient at best. If I had not had my son present, there is no way that I could have lifted the luggage to arrive at the room. This does not even take into account someone with mobility concerns.
The restaurant staff were courteous enough, but prices were insanely elevated. Vending machines were scarce and had different offerings in the main building and the satellite building. For example, my building had empty snack machines and the main building had soda machines and ice machines with no prices noted, and when a card was used, the soda was 4.00.
All in all, would NOT recommend whatsoever. The poorest Sheraton I have ever stayed at. Unfortunately, I had told my family that Sheraton was considered a good hotel chain. No longer true if this is a representation.
Sewage leaking in the parking garage with caution tape all around was just icing on the cake.
Only stayed one night and there was a large group there.
This large group took over the whole place.
In the TV area where the lounge was filled with loud adults and kids.
We headed to our room about 8:30 that evening after going out to have a quieter time.
The kids were knocking on the door as they were running up and down the hall way, yes, the parents didn't stop them.
I thought surely this will calm down by 12 midnight.
Well I was wrong, this when on until 3:09AM in the hallway people running talking while going up and down the hallway. Then the groups out side in front of the hotel talking loud..
It was so loud you thought it was in the room. We left the TV on to see if that helped, it didn't.
The front desk should have done something to stop this behavior.
I was a paying guest also.
Very disappointed.
I told the young guy who checked me out and he said they had had trouble with them all week.
So I had to pay $ 200.00 to stay there and not sleep. The front desk should have stopped the group from disturbing the other guest.
I was very upset and very tried there next morning.
I all I got was I am sorry, they are leaving today.
IInvitéOlder Motel 6 located right where I needed to be. Management doing their best to offer a clean, safe, comfortable overnight stay. This was a budget price and I did not expect any luxury. Room was neat and clean, laminate wood floors throughout including bathroom. Fixtures modern and clean, had excellent hot water and although the volume reduced when other rooms came on the temperature stayed hot. Platform beds pretty spartan but easier to keep clean and I saw no signs of bedbugs. This place filled up slam full on Saturday night with not an open room. Parking lot full with camera coverage, people I met staying were friendly and courteous - EVERYONE wants a safe clean place to stay. Free WiFi and lobby coffee pot in the morning. I expect due to my bargain rate hunt with Trip I was assigned a second story room smack in the middle between stairs - had to carry all my motorcycle luggage the furthest possible distance to my room. I bet if I paid a few dollars more I might have earned a ground floor, but I am cheap LOL. Management trying their best, and would gladly stay again! Room 206
Iidiotbox88The motel6 in fancy gap Virginia is a home 🏡 away from home. Spacious rooms, ice cold 🥶 a/c during the summer 🌞🏝️ HOT 🥵🔥 heat during the winter ❄️☃️ quiet and relaxing awaits!!! Very peaceful and quiet 🤫🤐. Incredibly comfortable beds. Everything in the room works flawlessly, and even our dog 🐕 enjoyed his little space! Conveniently located next to a circle ⭕ K gas ⛽ station, so filling up is a breeze and getting back on the highway is literally right there. It has everything you need! Even has a great restaurant down the road 🛣️ called Pitstop! Food is amazing and tasty 😋 I highly recommend both the motel6 and Pitstop is a must! My wife and I and our dog 🐕🐾 enjoyed our time here and we look forward to visiting the area again! Make it a destination for you one day, you won't regret it!
IInvitéPrice is about the only thing going for this place other than it’s relatively safe. I understand that it’s a bare bones basic place, but they do not even offer you a simple plastic cup in the room for the purpose of brushing your teeth or a glass of water. That just seems ridiculously cheap. The floor was filthy and my feet turned black in five minutes.
Trois
BbabiieeFor what it is being a motel 6.. This hotel was quite nice and actually clean, drama free, and in a good location for the city. It's also pretty quiet too.
The employees I encountered were all very pleasant.
Seeinf that we booked on the weekend too, there wasn't noise or loud music going on.just generally a peaceful environment.
The office was also quite nice with plenty of pamplets of things to do in the area.
Also to mention that there is a lot of food places nearby. From fast food to restaurants. Also the new casino is close by If you wanted to give that a visit.
They have a fitness area too.
The king toom was very spacious to my surprise. It had two desks with one of them even having a rolling computer chair.
SSukhee. G.I was looking for a hotel in Salem and couldn't find one, so I stayed at this motel. Of course, it's far from Salem, it's about a 20 minute drive. I thought that this motel is near the highway and is frequented by people who are tired from long journeys. There were a lot of customers on weekends. I stayed for 3 nights and had one cleaning during that time. I think they probably didn't clean it again because it was clean. There was no toothpaste and brush. But that was not important to me either. I can't say that it's very clean, but for such a cheap place, it seemed reasonable to me. There is a McDonald's nearby. If you don't have a car, I would recommend not staying at this motel.
IInvitéI had a reservation check-in was at 3 pm.the guy at the front counter said I had to wait 30mins for the room to be cleaned We ended up waiting outside the room til 3:45 and no one has showed up yet to clean it I went to the office to ask the guy when will it be ready he seemed agitated and said ten more minutes..We ended up leaving coming back at 4:30 which the the room still wasn't completely ready meaning no linen on the beds we went in anyway because it was paid for l.. then 20 mins later the housekeeper came wit the covers l..other than check-in issues it was an ok stay
IInvitéThe room was basically clean (except the toothpaste left on the shower wall but the hotel needs maintenance work. The door was difficult to close and lock and took so.e maneuvering to close even. The water handle was coming out of the wall, but the tub/ shower had a new insert and was nice. For amenities they have a fridge(nice and cold), a microwave (I didn't use it), soap and towels.
