This is a nice modern hotel near the airport. Free shuttle buses to the airport are available each half an hour. Great food, friendly stuff. It is the best option to stay overnight in case of connecting flights. Good value for money.

Lors de notre premier séjour, notre chambre sentait fortement les produits d'entretien. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre, ce qui a été fait. L'odeur persistait, mais était moins forte. Le personnel de l'hôtel recommande de rester dans l'enceinte de l'établissement ; il est préférable de prendre un taxi pour se déplacer, et uniquement pour des destinations précises. Les petits-déjeuners sont corrects. J'aurais préféré du beurre plutôt que de la margarine.

The staff is amazing ❤️, the hotel is very clean and as well, the location is absolutely convenient, no need for uber to the airport, just 10 minutes walk inside the airport, however , there were no sleepers😩😩had to wear my sneakers after leaving a shower 🤣🤣 … no bottled water to drink as well😩was so thirsty at night… but i will definitely come back again ,it’s a beautiful hotel and safe as well.. I give it an 8/10 …. I highly recommend

Excellent emplacement et service de navette pratique
J'ai récemment séjourné au Southern Sun O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel et j'ai trouvé cet hôtel très pratique. L'emplacement est idéal, car il est si proche de l'aéroport, ce qui m'a permis de prendre mon vol sans stress. Ils proposent un service de navette gratuit toutes les 15 minutes depuis le terminal de bus de l'aéroport jusqu'à l'hôtel, ce qui était incroyablement pratique.
La chambre elle-même était acceptable, le lit était particulièrement confortable, ce qui m'a permis de passer une bonne nuit de sommeil. Dans l'ensemble, c'est une bonne option pour les voyageurs à la recherche de confort et de facilité à proximité de l'aéroport.

I was transferring from Johannesburg to Shanghai when I called the service, and they ordered a taxi to pick me up. At first, my card was declining, but they were so patient until the payment went through. They were very kind, and the service was great. Every time I visit Johannesburg, I will be staying there. The apartment had two separate bedrooms, but I only used one, along with a kitchen and living room suitable for two families. I really enjoyed my stay.

We had an amazing stay at Menlyn Maine. Although our stay was short, the staff were professional. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The location is secure and is very close to Menlyn Mall and other malls and cute restaurants nearby. Our only complaint would be that we could not use the laundry service because it takes long for the clothes to be returned. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Would recommended to both non picky travelers and the boujie girls.

It was great to stay!
Very comfortable, clean and spacious than I expected. Especially, the breakfast was amazing. Had many options to take than I thought. Hot and cold foods and different kinds of cheese, breads, jams and even smoked salmon sashimi!
Also, they have upgraded my room into king bed room. The room was clean and big enough. Amenities were soap, body lotion and 3 in 1 bodywash(+shampoo and conditioner).
If you want to stay quiet room, I would recommend the 1st floor.
The parking in the basement made me feel more safe.
Definitely I'll recommend to others and will come back!

Excellent location. 10min to airport by free shuttle that runs every 30min. Friendly staff from reception to porter to shuttle driver. Hotel is beautiful, lovely opulent decor. Если берёте номер с завтраком и ужином, то будьте внимательны, ужин на номер 800 ZAR, завтрак на номер 450 ZAR. Если возьмёте больше этой стоимости, то Вам придется доплатить! Wi-Fi работает хорошо, без проблем.В номере нам не хватало только тапочек.

Pros: First of all the service I got from the receptionist was really good, she had someone carry my bags to the room and the location of the hotel is close to the airport which is very convenient for traveling after your stay.
Cons: The room had a strong smell of paint, it was so bad I couldn't even breathe as all the windows were closed upon my arrival.
The pillow cases in the bedroom didn't look clean to me I used my clothes to lay my face on because it was just nasty.
The shower is not convenient to use, it's too small and you cannot move the shower head to a desired position.
There was no fan or airconditioner in the bedroom, it was really hot.
The furniture is outdated, some couches with holes in them it's a mess
Overall, I will not sleep here ever again! The money charged is clearly just for being close to the airport because it is too much for that room.

IInvitéUpon arrival, check-in at reception was smooth. We were provided with our room key and directed to our accommodation, which required us to drive to the other side of the estate. However, when we reached the room, the key did not work. We walked back to reception, where we were informed that a network issue had prevented the key from being properly programmed. The receptionist, who was very helpful, offered to accompany us to the room and opened it using a master key. She assured us that a functioning key would be delivered as soon as the network was restored.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it had not been cleaned. The window sill was sticky with what appeared to be beverage spills, the floor was dirty, the bathroom mats were not fresh, and most concerning, there were rat droppings on the window sill, on the floor behind the curtains, and behind the door. I contacted reception to request housekeeping and asked to speak with a manager, as the condition of the room was unacceptable. A housekeeping staff member arrived, but I requested that cleaning not proceed until the housekeeping manager assessed the situation. The manager quickly confirmed that the room had indeed not been cleaned and that there were clear signs of rodent activity. She apologised sincerely, asked us to wait while the room was cleaned, and said she would escalate the matter to the rooms division. While waiting on the terrace outside, we noticed a mouse in the bushes, which explained the droppings found inside.
After the room was cleaned, the manager returned, apologised again, and informed us that a complimentary bottle of wine had been arranged for us. We told her about the mouse we had seen and expressed that we did not feel comfortable staying in that room. She went back to speak with the rooms division, and we waited in the bar. An hour later, she returned with keys to a new room and directed us there. The replacement room was clean, though the entire experience made for a rocky start to our stay.
The following day, after breakfast, we returned to our room to find that the terrace doors had been removed and two maintenance staff were working. This came as an unexpected surprise, as no one had informed us that repairs would be taking place. We decided to return to the bar to allow the work to be completed. As we were celebrating a birthday that day, the housekeeping manager kindly arranged for our room to be decorated with a birthday message.
From that point onward, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the exceptional customer service at the restaurants, bars, and spa. In particular, we would like to recognise Moses, Regal, and Tebogo at Kingsley Restaurant; Sibongile at Granatas; and Mandy at the spa for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made our stay memorable.
Overall, despite the challenges we experienced upon arrival, we had a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making my mother’s birthday special.

The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm.
The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens.
Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat.

IInvitéJ'ai séjourné ici pendant deux semaines et j'ai adoré ! Je suis restée plutôt tranquille et je ne suis pas sortie, car j'étais là pour me détendre. Je me suis sentie en sécurité et très à l'aise. La chambre était propre et sentait divinement bon ! Il y avait un joli balcon vitré, très agréable pour profiter du beau temps. La salle de bain était bien équipée, avec un bon choix de thés et de cafés. J'étais ravie de mon choix de chambre. Je pense que la prochaine fois, j'opterai pour un appart'hôtel, car j'ai toujours acheté ma propre nourriture 😄. Il y a une navette gratuite toutes les heures pour Nelson Mandela Square, que j'ai utilisée. Il y a une piscine visible depuis mon balcon et une salle de sport en face de ma chambre, mais je n'ai pas utilisé ces installations. Tout le personnel était très aimable, attentionné et serviable. Je recommande vivement cet endroit.

TTraveling TanI recently stayed at this hotel which left me disappointed due to their shuttle service limitations. While the overall experience was average, the lack of a 24-hour shuttle service proved to be a significant inconvenience, particularly for early morning flights.
One of the key reasons I chose this hotel was because of its location and a shuttle service to the airport. However, upon checking in, I was informed that the shuttle operated only from 7 am onwards. This was highly inconvenient as my flight departure time was earlier. I approached the receptionist to inquire about alternative options, hoping for some flexibility or assistance, but was met with an unhelpful suggestion to order an Uber instead.
Having previously stayed at other hotels near airports, I had come to expect a 24-hour shuttle service as the norm. It was disappointing to find that this particular hotel did not offer the same level of convenience. Given the additional cost associated with using ride-hailing services like Uber, this unforeseen expense was an unwelcome surprise.
In conclusion, if you have early morning flights or rely on a reliable 24-hour shuttle service, I would caution against choosing this particular hotel. I would recommend exploring other nearby options that prioritize customer convenience and provide a more accommodating shuttle service.

IInvitéThis is a great hotel , in a good location. The check in was smooth, room service is a bit slow though. House keeping is excellent, I like them so much . The facility is great but I didn’t like the pool area , is always packed with so many people. Some of them weren’t even guest at the hotel . Which make it a bit unsafe to leave your belonging just lying around. I mean you have to pack up everything every time you go to the loo. The pool area had no space to sit and chill on especially in the afternoon. The bar takes a bit long to prepare drinks . The waitress/waiter were amazing. I just didn’t like the check out time . 10 am it’s too early and they weren’t keen on extending with just one hour . I don’t think I’ll book again . Safety issues. If other people didn’t have that much access to the hotel I wouldn’t mind staying there again.

L'une des caractéristiques remarquables de cet hôtel est son service de navette. C'était extrêmement pratique, offrant un transport sans tracas vers et depuis l'aéroport, ce qui est un avantage majeur pour tout voyageur.
Le personnel de l'hôtel mérite une mention spéciale. Ils étaient non seulement professionnels mais aussi exceptionnellement serviables et amicaux. Qu'il s'agisse d'une assistance avec les bagages ou de demandes de renseignements générales, ils étaient toujours prêts à vous aider avec le sourire.
Un autre point fort était le petit-déjeuner buffet. Il offrait une grande variété d'options, toutes délicieuses et bien préparées. Des fruits frais aux pâtisseries en passant par les plats chauds, la qualité de la nourriture était impressionnante et c'était une façon fantastique de commencer la journée.
Dans l’ensemble, mon séjour à l’Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport a été délicieux. La combinaison d'un emplacement idéal, d'un excellent service et d'excellents équipements comme le petit-déjeuner buffet en font un hôtel que je recommanderais sans hésiter à tous ceux qui visitent Johannesburg. Que vous soyez en voyage d'affaires ou de loisirs, cet hôtel est un excellent choix pour un séjour confortable et sans souci.
