Hôtels avec bars à Yorkshire du Nord, Royaume-Uni

Nous avons réservé deux belles chambres ”King” - très propres et confortables, dans de superbes conditions. Nous avons séjourné pendant deux nuits, et il y avait des mariages occupés les deux jours - mais il y avait un bruit minimal, et les invités de mariage ajout à l'atmosphère magnifique. L'hôtel semblait être presque entièrement réservé pendant les deux jours, de sorte que la découverte que seul un ascenseur fonctionnait était moins utile (on nous a dit que l'autre ascenseur était hors d'action ”pour un certain temps”, en raison de l'hôtel ”attend des pièces de rechange” ? ) Ennuyeux, le premier ascenseur de travail n'a monté qu'au 4ème étage, de sorte que pour atteindre notre chambre au 5ème étage, nous avons dû jeter nos bagages sur les escaliers - peu de malaise, mais inattendu de cet hôtel prestigieux. Notre plus grande grippe était (a.) l'absence de parkings disponibles (un parc automobile avait un énorme marquée qui l'avait érigé pour une fonction) et (b.) qu'on a été informé lors de l'enregistrement qu'il y avait un frais de parking de £18 par nuit - même si aucune mention n'était faite sur le site web ou sur les détails de la réservation. Il a été très bien placé pour vous faire passer des frais de parking à votre hôtel. Tout en fait, un séjour très agréable dans un hôtel situé dans un bel environnement - nous y resterions certainement de nouveau.

Yes the room was dated, and yes the room was hot. However the room was clean, comfortable and a fan was provided to help circulate the warm air. The windows have restricted openings most likely due to H&S but with the fan it was enough to move the warm air out and allow cooler air in. Check up was chaotic but the lady apologized and explained they had a member of the staff off sick. She worked her way through everyone as quickly as she could giving everyone the same warm welcome. Breakfast was enjoyable and the spa area was a delight offering everything you need. After checking out I realized I left my sunglasses in the room. The cleaning team were so helpful allowing me access to retrieve them and to double check I had everything

Hotel was quite easy to find & access was quite good. Good car parking arrangement with the council for 2 day's. Disappointment the hotel didn't offer an evening meal so we had to go out & find it which wasn't ideal as when booking we noticed a restaurant on site. Only coach parties would be entertainment apparently. Breakfast covered hot & continental which was good to us. Our room however was far from satisfactory to us but we tolerated it & didn't complain. The bathroom door handle was troublesome to open so instead of fixing it they put a sign on the door telling us what to do.. The bathroom blind was also broken. The very small room had a tiny bed which was far from comfortable. We paid a lot for 2 nights which we regret so alas we won't be returning.

Stayed here with my wife and our 2 grandchildren on 13th August for 1 night ,it was our first ever time staying at this hotel and although the location is excellent and from the first look of the hotel it looks amazing, the size,the architectural structure is stunning, the entrance is grand and once inside the lobby is huge with a big staircase in the middle. However after checking in at reception we took the lift to our room on the third floor, and for such a big hotel the lifts are way too small (supposed to fit up to 8 people, maybe 8 children but definitely not 8 adults). We had a family executive seaview room,fairly large sleeping area,1 double and 2 single beds and although the bathroom was modern, tiled from top to bottom, it had a bath with shower/tap combo instead of a walk-in shower area or cubicle, the room itself was very old fashioned and in need of an update, cracked and water marked ceiling and when I presumed the people in the room above ours were taking a shower the ceiling started leaking,dripping into the middle of the room wetting the carpet, we reported this one of the reception staff who just said they would visit the people in the room and see what was causing the leak ”probably using the shower with the curtain outside the bath” they said , we never heard anything back so it seemed like they didn't care. There is a nice large outside balcony seating area which would be nice to sit and have a drink over looking the beach and sea in the hot weather or on a warm night but on a night none of the outside lights worked so was very dark which was a shame. Breakfast options are very limited, sausage, bacon,eggs,beans ,fried tomatoes, toast and cereal . We didn't notice until the morning we left and I'm sort of glad we didn't but we found mice or rat droppings on the carpet,along the edges and in the corner of the room! Overall it's a shame as this hotel was probably amazing 30 - 40 years ago, needs a lot of updating to the rooms and just more general maintenance and TLC to to hotel could make it Grand again albeit very disappointed and will not be staying again unless it gets a complete renovation in the near future.

J'ai réservé cet hôtel en raison du design et j'en suis très satisfait ! C'est très Yorkiste (on a l'impression que le Yorkshire ** peut aller et venir à tout moment) Si vous prenez l'ascenseur, il fera le tour, complètement démodé. La clé de la chambre est une grosse clé🔑, pas une carte de chambre, ce qui est unique ! ! La chambre n'est pas grande non plus. Il y a une machine à café et une bouilloire d'eau chaude. Il n'y a pas de climatisation mais il y a un petit ventilateur (il n'y a pas besoin d'allumer la climatisation, il fait frais la nuit). également un tourne-disque vinyle et une enceinte Bluetooth ! ! ! amour Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'endroits où faire du shopping. Prendre un taxi jusqu'à Butcher Shop Street ne coûte que 5 à 6 livres, ce qui est assez pratique~.

Beautiful hotel only 10 minutes walk from the city centre  Our room was clean and cosy  In the room was hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as tea/coffee facilities and an electric fan which was definitely needed with temps reaching 29 degrees 🥵 The outdoor area was stunning with lots of seating and little pods to dine in of an evening very pretty all lit up at night  All the staff were friendly and helpful  We will definitely return in the near future.

Hotel is great, no complaints. But we had a sort of upgraded, incurring in an extra payment, to the fifth floor and it was a massive disappointment. No high ceiling, no promised city views, warmer temperatures that lower floors. After paying more than usd 400 it feels very disappointing overall. Breakfast was good, maybe too much.

Nice cosy room outside of the main hotel. Only window was a skylight that you could open, but it didn't give a lot of natural light. Bed was comfortable and shower good. Excellent amenities within the room including tea/coffee, ironing facilities and TV. Perfect location for exploring the city and the bonus of free parking. The continental breakfast was a little sparse and if you're a vegan, you may want to let the hotel know ahead of arrival. Despite the odd area for improvement, still very good value.

Un hôtel absolument magnifique dans un excellent emplacement, à 5 minutes à pied de la ville. L'intérieur de l'hôtel est incroyable et assez grand. Nous avons choisi une chambre avec vue sur le jardin qui était un peu petite mais la vue était incroyable, jusqu'à la cathédrale. Le petit-déjeuner peut être un peu chargé car le quartier est petit mais c'était agréable. Le spa était charmant mais encore une fois petit et peut être très fréquenté. Dans l'ensemble, un bel hôtel dans un emplacement idéal.

First time staying at this hotel and yes it is a 3 star and needs updating but our room was spacious enough and very clean and food was very good too and all the staff were really lovely 😁
