Malheureusement, la propreté de la chambre simple ne m'a pas convaincue, mais la chambre double et la salle de bain étaient bien meilleures. La vue sur le port depuis la chambre était exceptionnelle. De nombreuses activités et fêtes de Noël étaient organisées.

This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and always willing to help whenever we needed assistance. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Although it was a standard room, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and would happily stay here again. Thank you to the entire team for their excellent service!

I really had a pleasant stay. Everything about the hotel was relaxing and although I didn’t sleep well (due to being in a different bed to my own) there was nothing I could complain about. Staff were great, breakfast was ok (selection of cooked breakfast, pastries, toast,cereals & fruit) and you’re greeted with that famous cookie! :)

La chambre était plus grande que prévu et avait une patio à se poser, le lit était confortable et tout est situé à quelques pas des chambres de mews. L'homme d'entretien a dû sortir et réparer le chauffage pour corriger la question. La location est tout à fait incroyable et les jardins sont bien gardés. Le restaurant gardenia est fermé quelques jours de la semaine pour dîner et aussi pour le petit déjeuner que je ne pensais pas être idéal. Pour le petit déjeuner, nous avons dû aller au sage restaurant spa qui avait une sélection très limitée de nourriture. Il y avait environ 6 plats à choisir, ils disent Le chef ne cuisine pas d'œufs cramés qui est un petit déjeuner essentiel, donc j'ai dû avoir une plaque de toast. Il y a eu un peu de déshydratation, mais il y a eu un peu de déshydratation. Je suis venu à l'hôtel il y a quelques années quand vous n'avez pas dû payer pour l'accès au spa, mais maintenant vous faites ce qui est un peu annoncé. Donc then you have either to eat very late at night or have a late lunch otherwise the £20 will not be well spent and you’d have to leave the spa after an hour

Overall the hotel was pretty decent. Good location and great views fron the room. But you know the building is a but old one some dont expect 5star model. You want some thing vintage and good you are in the right place. I loved it . And the staff was so lovely and friendly. I will suggest this one.

The location of the hotel was ideal for me visiting a retailer at Bluewater however it would be difficult without a car. The is a free to use car park with plenty of space for residents however there appears to be an Indian restuarant being built on the site as part of the hotel building which would cause major issues for residents looking to get parked if arriving after dinner service in the evening starts. The reception is largely unmanned and you need to call a mobile number for any issues. In fairness, when I checked in, the chap on reception told me there was an issue with the hot water but would be sorted within an hour. Sure enough it was. The following morning, getting ready for work, there was no hot water, so I called the mobole number and the chap told me he'll get it sorted right away. Sure enough within 30 minutes it was working. I believe the issue was with the pump as once started, there was plenty of hot water. The room was absolutely as seen in the photos. Lovely large spacious room with a skylight Velux style window, so plenty of fresh air. The aircon unit worked a treat for the warm muggy evening and night. There was an abundance of tea, coffee and some bisuits was was a real treat. There was also a couple of bottles of water which was a nice touch. Overall, I would stay here again and hopefully next time, the onsite Indian restuarant will be open.

Le stationnement est obligatoire, soit dans un parking séparé situé sur place, soit à proximité. Étant donné son emplacement en centre-ville, le prix est élevé. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai trouvé le service satisfaisant. L'hôtel propose le Wi-Fi et, par conséquent, des sèche-cheveux ; c'est donc appréciable qu'il dispose des commodités de base.

What an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away. We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks. We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character. The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room. Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening. The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had. The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away) The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely return.

Great value for money. Used the hotel for a quick stop over before onward travel. Large room, a little old fashioned but not a problem at the price we paid, to be expected. Everything in the room that was needed and very clean. No lift to second floor so a little difficult with heavy luggage but we managed. Would stay again if in same situation.
