Hôtels avec bars à Province d'Uva, Sri Lanka

C'est l'un des meilleurs endroits où nous avons séjourné lors de notre voyage d'une semaine au centre du Sri Lanka. J'aurais volontiers prolongé mon séjour de plus d'une journée, rien que pour me prélasser au bord de la piscine avec cette vue magnifique sur les montagnes. La chambre était très spacieuse, avec deux grands lits équipés de moustiquaires, de l'eau chaude, une bouilloire et du thé à disposition. À noter qu'il n'y avait ni coffre-fort ni télévision, pour ceux qui y accordent de l'importance. La terrasse est spacieuse et la vue sur les montagnes est absolument magnifique. La piscine est très agréable et le personnel est attentionné. Cependant, le petit-déjeuner n'était pas à mon goût : bien que ce soit un buffet, le choix était très limité. J'aurais préféré un petit-déjeuner anglais plus traditionnel. L'emplacement est en fait très bon : on peut facilement rejoindre le centre-ville à pied en traversant la voie ferrée. Par contre, sur le chemin du retour, de nuit, nous nous sommes perdus car Maps.me indiquait un itinéraire peu fiable. Heureusement, de jour, tout est très facile à trouver.

This hotel is amazing! We loved it, the only thing to note is that it’s quite a journey from Ella (around 45 mins). I would suggest staying at Ella for 1 night or so and experiencing that, then visiting and unwinding here. The staff, food and room were all fantastic.

Nous avons eu une bonne résidence à cet hôtel. La position est excellente, le petit déjeuner est bon et les employés sont très aimables. Un handicap est que l'hôtel est très acoustique, ce qui vous permet d'entendre les voisins douches et vous réveillez ce matin.

スタッフの方全員とても優しく素晴らしい滞在ができました。 ビュッフェの朝食、夕食をいただきましたが、どれも美味しくスリランカ料理を楽しむことができました。 朝食時にマネージャーの方に声をかけていただきホテルのホスピタリティーよ素晴らしさが伝わってきました。 また利用したいと思います。

I had a wonderfull stay with a very friendly stuff. Salindu is a Artist in cooking i enjoyed is food daily. Adit the Man who is always there for me anytime . I can highly Recommend this Guest house in the green nature. Thank you so much for your care. I will come back with my next Sri Lankan journey. Greetings Sita

Au début, notre confirmation de l'hôtel n'a pas été trouvée. Après quelques minutes, nous avons reçu nos chambres. Le pot était très gentil.

La fenêtre de la salle de bain est directement à l'extérieur. Il y aura des canneaux qui volent après l'ouverture de la lumière de la nuit et des petits canneaux qui entrent. La chambre peut être parce qu'elle est trop humide et sent trop humide. Cependant, le service de l'hôtel est très bon. Nous sommes allés à Safari le matin suivant parce que la carte de la voiture de la ville a pris du temps dans la cabine. Nous sommes revenus plus tard à l'hôtel. L'hôtel a également appelé pour nous demander si nous n'avons pas besoin de laisser notre petit déjeuner.

Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.
