Superbe hôtel, très design. Le service est excellent et le personnel est très professionnel. L'hôtel propose même des commandes tactiles via iPad. L'emplacement est idéal, à seulement 10 minutes à pied de la gare JR. Le seul bémol est que les prix sont assez élevés le week-end et qu'ils fluctuent beaucoup.

The overall stay experience was excellent, and I would especially like to commend Li-Ying Wu (also known as Go Reiei) from Taiwan. From the very beginning of the check-in process, she demonstrated a professional attitude by thoroughly explaining all the hotel's facilities and services. She always wore a warm and welcoming smile, which truly reflected her dedication to her work and her respect for the guests. During my stay, my family had quite a few demanding and complicated requests, requiring frequent assistance from the staff. Throughout it all, Li-Ying patiently addressed every single question without showing any sign of impatience.

Great view if your room is facing the sea.. You get the traffic noise for rooms facing the mountain as it’s also next to the main road. Seems like stains on the floor in guest rooms is a common in this hotel. Onsen is nice when it’s not busy.  Love the soft serve from the dinner buffet!

Les installations sont convenables, mais le petit-déjeuner mérite une mention spéciale pour sa grande variété et sa qualité supérieure. Le restaurant propose également une expérience culinaire agréable, avec des ingrédients frais et savoureux. Les chambres sont spacieuses et idéales pour les familles avec enfants. Cependant, les options de restauration à proximité sont limitées et nécessitent un moyen de transport. Les chambres donnent accès à des sources thermales privées et offrent une vue sur l'extérieur. En résumé, la location d'une voiture est recommandée pour plus de commodité. Le service en chambre est attentionné et la climatisation est disponible. De petits commerces à proximité proposent les produits de première nécessité, ce qui est pratique pour les longs séjours. Bien que les options de restauration soient limitées, le petit-déjeuner de l'hôtel est copieux et savoureux. Des prestations bien pensées.

This is a truly special onsen hotel. Each guest stays in their own individual house, which makes the experience feel private and peaceful. The property is secluded and quiet, beautifully decorated with Japanese taste — the tatami rooms are elegant and authentic. Every house comes with its own private onsen, both indoor and outdoor, so you can soak in complete comfort. The staff are incredibly attentive and sincere, trying hard to communicate in English and making you feel genuinely cared for. A highlight was the lady in kimono who served us dinner and breakfast — she was gentle, elegant, and simply beautiful in her manner. The kaiseki dinner was incredible, full of delicate flavors, and breakfast was equally delicious. The only thing to note is that it’s on a hillside, about a 10‑minute drive to the main tourist attractions, so having a car makes the stay much easier. The hotel has free parking. Overall, Yufuin Rakuyu offers a serene, authentic Japanese onsen experience with outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended, and I’d love to return.

The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious. 

C'est une bonne affaire. L'insonorisation n'est pas optimale, mais elle est acceptable pour une ou deux nuits. Il y a aussi une baignoire et un sauna, ce qui est très appréciable vu le prix. De plus, c'est très pratique : supermarchés, pharmacies et boutiques en bord de mer se trouvent à proximité.

Located near the beginning of Yufuin street where you can find all the restaurants. Rooms, lobby, public bath are.quite large in size, slightly jaded look (social distancing stickers still on lobby floor and lift, hotel staff should quickly remove) enough parking on site. Easy to walk about. Umbrellas available for loan. Opposite the hotel is a laundrymart. Family mart and 7-11 available in Yufuin main street areas.

a bit of walk from the train station as you can find places that are nearer if you are carrying more suitcases. i dont mind the walk as you pass by a lot of nice restaurants. can walk along the commercial street under shade even though hot summer day it is still quite sweaty. there seems to be a nice restaurant on the second floor but didnt get a chance to try. right near art museum and auditorium. quite city center.
