the Location was great and the restaurant staff were friendly and provided us good service, which is unfortunately the two positive parts of our stay. when we arrive, the reception experience was very poor. No Information was given about the lodge or breakfast until I asked, and we were not even accompanied to our room. The condition of the room was disappointing. The shower and floors were dirty to the point where you could not shower without wearing flip flops. Housekeeping was also below standard. During our 2-night stay, the room was not properly cleaned, the bins were not emptied, dishes were not washed properly and both the bathroom and floors remained dirty. Only the beds were made. This was a very disappointing experience.

We celebrated our 2-years anniversary at Sausage Tree and we truly enjoyed every bits of it from all the thrills of game drives, to connecting with the nature, to enjoying the peace and breeze, to learn about South Africa’s culture, to making new friends and to being pampered very well by their fantastic hospitality! So lucky of us to catch all Big 5 on the morning of our anniversary and with an Elephant appearing right in front of my doorstep at night! It makes the whole trip so much memorable! Thank you, Polite, Themba, Life, Thendy and Karine for the memories!

The hotel has beautiful grounds and super friendly staff, especially in the restaurant. Stayed in an executive room which was clean with a four poster bed. The AC in winter time was a welcome addition and the fact that it was switched on before I checked in was thoughtful. In general, these rooms could do with a bit of general maintenance - ceilings look old and worn and it was really difficult to open and close the door. Breakfast catered to all tastes. For a stay in Modimolle, Shangri-La is a good choice.

This is the perfect place for nature lovers who also want real comfort and luxury. The lodge is exquisitely decorated and it was a pleasure to sit with a coffee and watch bush bucks, warthogs, kudu and all types of birds come into the garden. Walking around the lodge I came close to giraffes, zebras and more. It was breathtaking. I stayed for 2 blissful nights and enjoyed delicious home cooked meals, a wonderfully comfortable bed and hot baths each day. I hope to come back in future!

Отелем остались довольны, персонал отзывчивый. Прекрасный завтрак с большим выбором блюд, все очень вкусно. На территории есть бассейн и шезлонги, но мы, к сожалению, ими не воспользовались, так как было не очень жарко.

Tout était à un niveau élevé. Vous devez rencontrer une très belle zone de soins. Chambres confortables où tout était nécessaire. Thé, café, eau dans un accès illimité tout le temps. La chambre coûte deux safari. Notre guide (Sydney) a essayé de nous montrer le plus possible le monde sauvage divers de l'Afrique du Sud. Je voudrais dire, merci beaucoup, à la fille de la manager qui nous a rencontrés et qui était toujours prête à répondre à nos demandes et à résoudre nos problèmes. Nous serons heureux de vous revenir parce que vous nous avez donné des impressions inoubliables!

We had a wonderful stay. Although the room we booked wasn't available, we were upgraded at no additional charge. The accommodations were very clean, and the staff was friendly. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful.

The Bathroom basin drain seem blocked as the water was slot to escape. The breakfast venue was so loud , chef was good, but the tables were left dirty after people were done.  Other than that, good hotel for family

This is a private safari lodge where 2 game drives a day is included as well as full board. The staffs were friendly and the place is clean. The chef prepared food according to your dietary needs.
