I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

Ma copine et moi avons été prises en charge à la gare de Congjiang, ce qui était très pratique. Dès notre arrivée, les propriétaires de l'hôtel se sont montrés extrêmement accueillants et serviables. L'établissement est situé à l'arrière du village, à côté d'un champ de colza et de riz cultivés toute l'année. L'emplacement était idéal pour nous : paisible et calme, tout en étant à deux pas du charmant petit village animé. La chambre était spacieuse et propre, avec une vue magnifique sur le champ. La décoration intérieure est très soignée et les équipements sont excellents. Il y avait même une petite machine à laver, ce qui nous a permis de faire notre lessive nous-mêmes. De tous nos séjours en Chine jusqu'à présent, c'est le meilleur ! Un café-restaurant très élégant et charmant se trouve au premier étage. C'est là que vous prendrez un délicieux petit-déjeuner et que Ni Li et sa sœur vous accueilleront avec un sourire à chaque fois que vous passerez. Ni Li, son mari Tao Mingqing, sa sœur et son frère ont joué un rôle crucial pendant notre séjour. Après la première nuit, ma femme est tombée gravement malade à cause d'une infection et n'a pratiquement pas quitté sa chambre. La deuxième nuit, j'ai eu une intoxication alimentaire, ce qui a aggravé la situation (et ce n'était pas dû à l'hôtel !). Nous avons finalement prolongé notre séjour en raison de son état. Heureusement, Li parle très bien anglais, ce qui nous a beaucoup aidés à gérer les difficultés médicales. Nous avons eu énormément de chance de séjourner chez Li et sa famille, car ils ont pris soin de nous comme si nous étions de leur propre famille. Ils préparaient des repas et des dîners personnalisés chaque jour, adaptés à nos besoins, nous offraient du thé, appelaient les médecins locaux, servaient d'interprètes et nous accompagnaient à l'hôpital à plusieurs reprises. Nous étions là pendant la fête de Qingming, et les voitures étaient interdites dans le village, ce qui compliquait encore les déplacements vers l'hôpital. Cela n'a pas découragé Tao Mingqing, qui nous a emmenés à l'hôpital à plusieurs reprises en moto, un par un ! La dernière fois, j'avais même oublié un sac, et il est retourné le chercher pour moi ! C'est vraiment un homme exceptionnel. Heureusement, ma convalescence a été assez rapide, ce qui m'a permis d'explorer un peu le village et de passer du temps avec Li et Ming, tout en restant près de la chambre de ma compagne. Le quatrième jour, la fièvre de ma compagne baissait et son état s'améliorait légèrement. Li et Ming nous ont invités à prendre le thé. Ming m'a montré son impressionnante collection et a pris soin de préparer le thé le plus adapté à notre état. Le thé était absolument délicieux et il a fini par remplir un grand sachet de thés variés en cadeau ! Et ce n'était pas tout : pour que nous ne les oubliions jamais et que nous prenions l'habitude de déguster le thé en pleine conscience, à la chinoise, une fois rentrés chez nous, ils nous ont offert les tasses à thé traditionnelles, ornées du dragon bleu et du phénix. La situation était très stressante et, alors que nous étions au plus mal, ils étaient là pour prendre soin de nous, des inconnus qu'ils venaient de rencontrer. Cela en dit long sur ces personnes exceptionnelles. Malgré la maladie de ma compagne et les circonstances difficiles, nous gardons un souvenir chaleureux de notre séjour, car cette expérience unique a tissé des liens indéfectibles. Nous avons eu l'immense chance de rencontrer Li et sa famille. Nous les avons déjà remerciés des centaines de fois, mais je ne saurais exprimer toute ma gratitude envers eux. Merci de nous avoir accueillis comme si nous étions de votre famille ! ＜3 Si vous hésitez à séjourner chez eux, n'ayez aucune crainte ! I'd like to share my impressions of my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the hotel is very new and designer inside. The view of the village is, I'd say, the best in the area. First things first: the hotel offers a butler service, and when you arrive at the attraction, a butler will meet you and take your luggage. You don't have to bother walking to the bus, which is quite a distance, and the entire scenic area is on a mountain, requiring constant climbing. The hotel is also located on a hillside, so getting to it requires a climb up narrow steps. The butler carried my luggage and accompanied me the entire time. The walk from the entrance to the hotel took about 25 minutes, including the bus and the walk. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted at reception and offered afternoon tea; there were five drinks on the menu. I chose a milk oolong tea with milk, and they offered me fruit, nuts, and homemade cookies. It was delicious. I spent the entire time relaxing, drinking tea, and enjoying the village views. After I'd rested, I went to my room. I was given a room on the 4th floor with the lucky number 888. The room has absolutely everything: excellent Loccitan cosmetics, toiletries, robes, and slippers—everything is of very good quality. There's also a modern hairdryer and steam iron. There was a bath on the balcony, but I didn't use it because it was chilly. The room is really new; it has underfloor heating if you get cold, and also air conditioning. The bed linen, pillows, and blanket were wonderful. I didn't even notice how my night passed; I truly rested for the two nights I stayed at this hotel. The hotel staff explained how I could spend my time and took me to a restaurant where I could have a delicious meal. Then I went for a walk. I spent the entire evening strolling around the village and taking in the sights. That evening, when I returned, I was offered evening soup, which I really enjoyed; it was very unusual. Since I was a foreign tourist, the hotel staff communicated with me using a translator via WeChat, which was very convenient and prevented any misunderstandings. The next morning, I was offered breakfast, which was served on the first floor of the hotel. The dining room was also very beautiful and well-renovated. After breakfast, I went for a walk around the village to take beautiful photos. I had a wonderful time in the village, taking in the sights. I especially enjoyed the local people's show on New Year's Eve, as well as the singing of the women and men of the Miao people. The day before my departure, the hotel staff asked what time my return tickets to Guiyang would be and told me they would arrange for me to be transported to the entrance so I could call a taxi. I would give this hotel the highest rating, firstly because it's in a wonderful location on a mountain with a magnificent view, and literally a three-minute walk from the main observation deck. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel personnel, and especially to the butler his wechat name Velpro, they are all tried their best to help me and accompanied me on all my questions. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel owners, who care about the interior order, cleanliness, and the care of their guests. This level of hospitality is truly rare. If I return to this village, I will definitely stay at this hotel. I recommend it to everyone.

Hôtel situé en face de la gare de Tongren et juste à côté de la station de bus, idéal pour ceux qui souhaite y prendre un car et visiter le mont fanjing. La chambre etait assez propre en revanche forte odeur de tabac et la fenêtre ne s’ouvre pas complètement donc difficile d'aérer mais le personnel a nettoyer la chambre durant mon absence ceux qui a attenuer l’odeur. Je suppose que ce n’est pas le cas pour toute les chambres. Mention spéciale pour le lit qui a été le plus confortable de tout mon séjour en Chine.

La chambre d'hôtel est propre et bien rangée ! Elle est exactement comme sur la photo ! On a l'impression d'être dans la même pièce ! La vue est imprenable ! Le paysage est omniprésent ! J'apprécie aussi les enceintes ! C'est tellement agréable d'écouter de la musique sur la terrasse le soir, bercée par la brise ! On peut aussi saluer et échanger avec les passagers du bateau de croisière. Le service de l'hôtel est également excellent. La réception vous aidera à porter vos bagages et à les acheminer à votre départ ; il y a aussi une cuisinière. Comme nous sommes descendus tard, la cuisinière a commencé à ranger les choses les unes après les autres. En nous voyant arriver, elle nous a préparé deux œufs au plat ! Le petit-déjeuner est également délicieux (っ˘ڡ˘ς), et l'enregistrement est excellent ! Je vous recommande particulièrement une spécialité : le Deng's Tofu Old Shop ! Sa cuisine est excellente et vous ne serez pas déçus ! Promettez-moi de commander du vin glacé !

Le service de la dame à la réception de l'hôtel est très bon et l'expérience d'enregistrement est également très bonne. La chambre est spacieuse et bien équipée. Il y a une salle de sport et une piscine au quatrième étage. propose une grande variété de petits-déjeuners. De plus, l'hôtel est proche de la ville de Vientiane, ce qui est très pratique pour manger et faire du shopping. Le transport est également très pratique, vous pouvez marcher jusqu'au marché Qingyun et à la tour Jiaxiu. confortable. J'attends avec impatience mon prochain séjour ! ! Donnez un coup de pouce à la dame de la réception ! ! !

La chambre dépasse complètement la satisfaction escomptée ～ J'ai vu beaucoup d'hôtels de 1000 Hui Hui avant ～ Pour avoir une bonne vue du paysage, il faut faire le tour ～ Vous êtes très détaché ～ Cette chambre est très détachée ～ Alors que c'est à la hauteur, mais c'est la route ～ Vous avez fait un petit tour ～ Le service de gestionnaire de l'hôtel est très bon ～ Nous allons à la porte nord pour nous aider à prendre Li ～ Lorsque vous quittez, vous aidez aussi à envoyer votre bagage à la station de voyage dans la zone de vue ～ ～ Vous avez mis à jour la chambre ～ Vous n'avez pas besoin de visiter la plate-forme ～ Vous pouvez faire la scène de nuit ～ Dans la plate-forme d'hôtel, le chef a mis à jour la chambre ～ Dans la nuit, il a envoyé du riz et du plat de fruit ～ expérience superbe!

The hotel is within walking distance to xiaoqingkong bridge. We had a good time over there. The breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean. I was not impressed with service though. First we couldn’t make the AC working right and the room was freezing. We called the front desk for help. The service person wouldn’t even enter our room to check and told us nothing could be done but to turn it off. Second, we ordered hotel transportation to take us the the tourist center the next morning at 7:15 so we could take an early train back. We arrived at the front desk to find out that no arrangements had been made and they called the driver after we got there and were ready to leave. The driver didn’t arrive until after 7:30, 15 minutes after our scheduled departure time! Luckily we planned a little extra time and didn’t miss our trains but the service was unacceptable.

Le terrain de Guiyang vivait à la nuit dans un hôtel de vacances près de l'aéroport, mais c'est un hôtel sous la pendule intercontinentale, les services et les installations sont très satisfaits. J'aurais pensé que le bruit de l'aéroport serait grand, mais pas affecté. L'hôtel a également une voiture envoyée à la gare de chemin de fer haute, le service est très disponible.

Nous avions réservé une chambre avec toboggan et c'était vraiment génial ! Il y a des instruments de musique et des calligraphies dans le hall, c'est amusant d'en jouer. Ils offrent aussi des fruits gratuits, les litchis étaient vraiment juteux et frais. Nous avons eu un petit souci avec la machine à laver, mais le personnel nous a aidés et c'est devenu une expérience amusante. Le personnel était très sympathique et enthousiaste ; il nous a proposé de nous conduire à chaque fois que nous sortions. Même si nous n'avions pas réservé de transport pour la gare, ils ont fait de leur mieux pour trouver des voitures disponibles, mais finalement, le patron nous a conduits car nous étions pressés de prendre notre train. Malgré tous les désagréments que nous leur avons causés, il est resté patient et nous a aidés. Un grand merci ! 🙏
