The hotel was exactly as expected. Wonderful and friendly staff that try and make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was way better than expected and there was plenty of food and options. The room and resort were well-kept. Could it do with a total lick of paint, yes? Were there signs of wear and tear, yes. did it put us off, or should it put you off, definitely no. The reef at low tide is amazing to walk in (take boat shoes), as it is the snorkeling at high tide. Wi-fi in public areas is strong and reliable (not available in bedrooms) Are there dogs and cats in the grounds - yes - only a few and they are friendly anyway. However, if the hotel had paid for the adult cats to be neutered, they would not now have the kittens running around. The entertainment every evening is good considering they have to play to an international audience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is isolated i,e, there is nothing to walk to. The nearest restaurant is at the petrol station 3/4 mile away. But they had very good live music on Saturday.

My wife and I spent 7 amazing nights here! The resort has everything, you don’t even have to leave! You can catch a 45 minute cab ride to port denaru for some adventure experiences of course, but so much to do here. Isikeli and Jim - as well everyone else at the water sports area were awesome! The 5 hr cruise with snorkel and wave runner safaris were definitely worth it. Joey over at the fish bar is great and pours some good drinks. Missi and Adam with activities also some great people to run into for a soccer game on the beach. Marcus was the friendliest person to run into everywhere at the resort throughout the day. Simon at the front lobby will help square you away with whatever you need. We had a lagoon view bure which was a home away from not wanting to go back home. Walk right into the lagoon from the beach or sit on your balcony while reading a book. All in all could not recommend this resort more. Safest part of the trip is was having to leave.

This was my first time visiting Fiji and I’m so glad I picked Uprising as my introduction to the country, its beautiful surroundings and exceptionally warm and welcoming staff. I traveled solo and felt safe at the resort the entire time. The resort itself is located in a great section of the beach. I arrived very early and the staff were able to check me in earlier, which I really appreciated. The staff are really what make Uprising special. Special shout out to all of the staff for making my stay as enjoyable as possible. Special thanks to Lo, Bill, Tamani, Mary, Millie, Andy, Emma, Elia, Manu, Mike and Josh! I stayed in the beachfront bure (villa) and enjoyed the space and privacy. However, the villas do need some renovation, especially with the bath tubs. I was looking forward to taking a bath during my stay, but the tub flooring needs to be redone. The outdoor showers were a great plus too. The food was ok, but I was expecting more seafood options. I do appreciate the activities like luvo night, fire dancing and bonfire they had and would encourage them to do more throughout the week in addition to adding standup paddle boarding, if possible. Vinaka vaka levu! Sota tale! 🌺🇫🇯

Le personnel est très agréable, très utile, très aimable, chantant tout le temps, et beaucoup de divertissement. Nous avons également eu le dîner romantique qui était un repas de 5 cours privé à la fin de la pier (500 dollars fijiens), qui était très gentil d'un service très bon de notre gardien Akuila. Pour les familles, je dirais qu'il était brillant, car il y avait tant de choses à faire pour les enfants, y compris ce qui semblait un grand club pour les enfants. Il n'y a qu'une plage adulte, mais cela a été ignoré. Le seul désavantage pour nous était que c'était juste ce qui s'est passé sur notre voyage, il y avait du travail à faire à l'hôtel, et nous sommes réveillés la plupart des matins par les ouvriers de forage ou de marteau à 7 heures. Pour les familles, je suis sûr que ce n'était pas un problème comme celui où il est déjà réveillé, mais pour une lune de miel relaxante, pas tant. Les choses peuvent prendre un peu plus longtemps pour vous arriver, mais si nous nous sommes bien détournés.

I stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though. Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available. There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops. The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling! My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

On arrival the staff make you feel very special and are very friendly. We stayed in the Adults only beach club area, check in was easy and we were welcomed with a free cocktail. The Waitui Beach Club was great, lovely atmosphere, great pool and swim up bar, excellent service from the waiters, free canapés and delicious mocktails during the day and then happy hour from 5–6pm when the sun is setting and the torches are lit, the atmosphere and ambience was immaculate! All of the staff are very friendly and make for a wonderful experience, the woman who checked us in on the 5th of June was very accommodating and friendly, aswell as Vau she was great she made us feel special and so welcome every day, aswell as Sky at the Bar and Grill restaurant. We had a lot of our meals at the Bazaar Restaurant as our breakfasts were included, the dinner buffet is a good experience there is food from many cultures and lots of choices, it’s quite expensive in relation to the quality but overall a nice experience. For couples I would definitely recommend booking a suite with beach club access it was amazing we wished we stayed longer!

We had an incredible stay at Intercontinental. The staff were amazing and the resort was great. We were travelling with a 20 month old and we booked a pool access room which was perfect. The beach was beautiful and the live music at sunset was stunning. It really is a beautiful resort. I don’t think I’d call it a 5 star resort but it was really beautiful. Our room felt like it needed a really good deep clean and freshen up (blinds were dirty, toilet a bit smelly and just wear and tear), as did most of the resort. The Sanasana restaurant really needs a deep clean and a face lift. It felt quite dirty and stains all over the chairs etc. wasn’t nice seeing all the cleaning and clearing in mess in the middle of the seating area. If the cleaning was improved this resort would be almost perfect! Highly recommend Navo for dinner around sunset, just stunning.

This is a very big hotel! We were in unit 47 , a good walk to reception area. Luckily we are fit & walk a lot so it suited us! There is trolley bus that picks up guests about every 10 mins to get around the complex .Our room was big & spacious with a separate sitting area . We had a garden view, I'm sorry I did not book a beach view. The restaurants are excellent, pools clean . Loved the buffet breakfast ..so many choices. The staff were awesome, everyone so helpful.

Le restaurant est très confortable et très confortable. Et nous aimé la musique de bande en direct et le bal de l' île et le spectacle de feu ... , nous avons essayé le Kava et nous avons aimé chanter avec Natha s' asseoir avec lui sur le mat et aussi chanter sur la plage autour du feu . le village très occupé mais plein d'espace pour nous assis dehors beau et nager bien dans 2 piscines très propre et agréable eau

Les chambres étaient propres et en grande condition, les douches étaient très pressantes et très chaudes - parfaite pour nous aider à se détendre pendant notre voyage. Contrairement aux autres chambres d'hôtel à Fiji, le climatisation a fonctionné très bien et la caisse dans la chambre était en bonne condition de travail - ce qui est toujours important pour la protection de vos valeurs et documents de voyage. Le restaurant a été très bien placé pour nous rendre à l'aéroport de Nadi pour notre vol vers l'île de Taveuni. Mais ce que nous nous souvenons le plus de cet hôtel, c'est les 2 musiciens en direct Igenasio et Joape qui jouent dans le bar et le restaurant. J'ai continué à me reposer et à dire à ma femme : ”Écoutez cette merveilleuse musique” ! La dernière nuit à Fiji, juste avant de rentrer à l'aéroport de Nadi, nous sommes retournés à l'hôtel Gateway Fiji pour voir si Igenasio et Joape jouaient dans le restaurant et dans le bar. Je suis venue à l'hôtel pour les trouver. Ils n'ont pas déçu et joué 2 chansons que nous avons demandées, ainsi que des chansons demandées par d'autres. Ils sont un grand duo et ils se complètent l'un l'autre avec leur chanson de leader et leur harmonie. Remember toujours cette dernière nuit à Fiji à l'hôtel Gateway !
