This is the most beautiful old hotel in Leicester, and I have a strong sentimental attachment to it, but it clearly makes its money through hiring the glorious ballroom out for corporate events at the expense of anyone actually staying there.  I had asked for a quiet room but was placed at the front which is already noisy due to the busy street, and then was not warned that a ridiculously, horribly loud function was taking place right below me in the hotel. It was like trying to sleep above a particularly nasty nightclub playing diabolical music. There were drunken corporate goons falling in and out of the door and I was treated very disrespectfully by the receptionist when I finally went downstairs to complain near to midnight.  Guests are clearly not important. I strongly recommend calling before you book to see if this is going to happen on the dates you choose. I was in town for an extremely important job and arrived tired and late due to being kept awake for hours.

From walking into the hotel to checking in I was greeted by pleasant and nice staff, helpful and cheerful. Stayed in the bar for a quick drink before going to the room and the bar and restaurant was clean, warm and inviting. Was nice to see it being used by others staying at the hotel for evening meal.  Lift wasn’t working but the stairs to my floor wasn’t an issue, I travelled light. The room I booked was a double room, which was clean and comfortable for the one night I stayed. Perfect location by the station and close enough to the shops and bars in the city itself.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t believe the value for money. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The location is absolutely brilliant, close to everything you’d want, making it perfect for both exploring and relaxing without needing to travel far. The hotel itself was spotless. My room was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable, which made a big difference after long days out. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the place in great condition. One of the highlights was the bar and restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was excellent, and the drinks were just as good. It was so convenient having such a high-quality option right there in the hotel. Overall, this place offers incredible value. Great location, clean rooms, and top-notch food and drink, it really ticks all the boxes. I’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel was clean as was our room. The only thing was when we arrived and went to our room it was very cold. On phoning reception they told us how to put the heating on, when I asked about why it wasn’t on they said because of safety concerns. As it was we went out leaving the heater on, but if we had been a few hours later then we would have had to go to bed in a very cold room.  So that wasn’t good! We didn’t use any of the facilities, so can’t really comment on this.

Un tel hôtel magnifique. Le personnel est extrêmement accueillant. Tout le monde est prêt à aider. L'hôtel lui-même est gardé très propre. Nous avons certainement eu un très confortable bon sommeil. Le petit déjeuner était bon. Nous aimions les installations de loisirs. Le jacuzzi était notre préféré, la température de l'eau wS comme avoir un beau bain très chaud! C'était étonnant. C'était le meilleur que j'aie jamais vu. C'était aussi une très bonne taille.. La piscine était trop froide pour me rendre à l'intérieur. Je suis un patient de cancer et je ne peux pas aller dans l'eau froide. C'était mon seul point négatif.bi aimerait aller à la baignade. La salle à vapeur et la sauna étaient bonnes. J'ai aussi remarqué qu'il y avait un bon gym mais je n'y allais pas. Il y a une belle chambre tranquille avec de nombreux canapés et tables de café à proximité pour se détendre ou travailler. Le parking n'est pas un problème. Nous allons certainement réserver cela dans la famille de futurs fir jy tout comme nous l'avons vraiment apprécié.

This hotel was the best went to check in had booked double room got upgraded to a family room and as soon as we got to the room we had trouble finding out how to open the door with the card. Yes me and my mum had 1 of them Richard Gere from Pretty Woman moments haha but once got in the room we was impressed was so clean and tidy it had a mini fridge under the TV everything was accessible staff was so kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend to others who was passing through the area to stop was no noise from the motorway traffic and eateries on the motorway services was right next door. Didnt book in for breakfast as was leaving early next morning. 20/10 top marks very happy customer. Big shout out to tariek

La location est fantastique. La façade est propre et attrayante et, à l'entrée du bâtiment, la zone du bar/restaurant offre un facteur de wow. J'avais une chambre double qui étaient deux lits simples poussés ensemble, donc il n'y avait pas de chambre à se détacher. La cuisine ne vient pas avec le lavage de liquide ou de champignon, donc j'étais un peu confus sur la façon dont je devais nettoyer. La toilette était belle, mais après avoir élevé le siège de la toilette, la cuillère de la toilette était remplie de liquide jaune. La douche était glorieux que je ne voulais pas sortir. Les chambres ne sont pas prouvés, si vous êtes un léger sommeil comme moi, assurez-vous de prendre vos plutons. Le site de la ville est très bien situé.

J'étais dans une chambre double standard, je me suis couché et j'ai été réveillé par quelqu'un dans la chambre ci-dessus qui déplace les meubles autour, donc la réception a appelé et elle a dit, s'il vous plaît, descendez à la réception, donc je l'ai fait, Mathew, le gestionnaire, a rapidement trouvé la solution et m'a emmenée dans une chambre plus grande, et même deux autres coussins, je lui remercie et je lui ai dit bien fait, excellent Matthew.

Really good value hotel at East Midlands Airport. I stayed here for one night due to its proximity to the airport. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are fairly basic, but this is a Holiday Inn Express, not a luxury hotel. The bed was comfortable and there was a hairdryer, kettle, iron and a few other features in the room. Wifi was fast and stable which is a big plus. The food is the restaurant was fairly decent and it was certainly quite busy the evening I was there. Breakfast is included for all rooms and there were plenty of hot and cold options with juices and coffees etc. OK it won't win any Michelin stars, but I was happy for the price. The hotel is around a 10 minute walk to the terminal or there is a bus stop right outside which gets there in a few minutes.

Grande location & jardins fab,hôtel à l'intérieur est daté et a besoin d'un ménage,Notre chambre était de base,comfortable,formule noire sur salle de bains mastique et assiettes craquées dans la zone de douche,assiettes en forme dans la zone de plafond,portes de patio à l'extérieur,mais à l'ouverture du matin, a été salué par un van blanc de transit juste à l'extérieur des portes et les planificateurs de mariage pour le prochain mariage retournant et sortant,de sorte que ne pouvaient même pas avoir les curtains ouverts,grandes options de petit déjeuner anglais, Mais les aliments étaient clairement gardés chauds pendant un certain temps,pas de plaques,pas de sacs de thé,avoir à demander,les tables n'avaient pas été nettoyées de plaques sales,verre,souches,etc.etc...et aucun personnel à voir,et ils avaient dû nettoyer notre propre table,le personnel semblait misérable & quand ils se sont présentés, Aucun d'entre eux ne nous a parlé !
