Staying at Dar D’or Fez was truly one of the highlights of my time in Fes. This beautiful riad perfectly captures the charm and authenticity of Moroccan hospitality.
The design is stunning—traditional architecture with intricate details, colorful tiles, and a peaceful courtyard that feels like a hidden oasis inside the bustling medina. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated, making it both cozy and visually impressive.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or simply a friendly chat. Their hospitality made the stay feel personal and memorable.
Breakfast was another highlight—fresh, delicious, and served in a relaxing setting. It was the perfect way to start the day before exploring the vibrant streets of the medina.
The location is excellent, close enough to major attractions yet tucked away in a quiet area, allowing for a restful night’s sleep

衛生：很乾凈的一個民宿！
環境：與外麪買東西的吵鬧聲形成了鮮明的對比，衹要一進到這裏麪，就會感覺極其的安靜，很適合緩解工作壓力的旅遊。
服務：這個民宿就4個員工（兩個前台+兩個清潔工），上午的時候可以在廚房那邊看到那兩個清潔工，其他的時候大部分就衹有一個前台💁🏻人員，有時間這兩個前台員工都在。我去的是淡季，在那裡住的兩晚衹有我一個客人，所以那基本上就是我花了最少的錢💰享受到了4個人的服務。有什麼問題去問那兩個前台人員，他們都很和顏悅色並且很耐心地傾聽並儘力幫助你，我走的那天早上還幫我搬着🧳🧳帶去主路上打了出租車，以至於我離開前給了他們每人50迪拉姆的消費。每天晚上他們兩個前台人員都會在廚房裡麪做晚飯吃，還免費邀請我吃。不吃辣且口味不是很重的，可以試試塔吉鍋，味道還是不錯的，尤其是香味特別濃郁。接前一個評論的150迪拉姆晚餐，個人覺得這是正常價位，因為你去外麪的餐館（不包括路邊攤）吃同樣的餐食或者你去附近的中國餐館吃中餐，花費也是差不多的。至於礦泉水，這屬於正常現象了，你去酒店或者景區，礦泉水飲料都是比其他很多地方貴好幾倍的。但是如果你在酒店餐廳裏面詢問熱開水，大部分情況下都是免費🆓的。所以與其喝冷的礦泉水，為什麼不喝熱開水呢（僅限冬季，夏季就不用和熱水了🤣）？總之，我下次來這個城市旅遊，可能還會訂這一家民宿，所以我也推薦來這邊旅遊的人也來這裏住上一兩晚。

L'hôtel est confortable, propre et assez calme. L'emplacement est un peu éloigné de la ville antique, mais prendre un taxi n'est pas cher. Vous pouvez vous rendre à la ville antique pour 20 yuans. Les installations environnantes de l'hôtel sont également assez complètes, comprenant un grand supermarché et un McDonald's.

It is a very nice place in Medina. Madame Hanane makes the rooms very clean and beautiful, she also cooks the guests breakfast. She cooks in the lovely kitchen and her dishes are very delicious. Ms. Jihane is helpful as well, as she replies me very fast. Don’t hesitate to choose this riad. It’s a best riad I lived in Morocco.

DDarrenL'hôtel Sahrai est un hôtel privé et beau situé en dehors de la Médina, un bon choix pour les voyageurs qui souhaitent séjourner en dehors de la vieille ville. L'hôtel est situé sur une colline et le toit de la rue offre une vue magnifique sur les anciens quartiers de la médaine et des juifs. C'est une bonne option si vous avez beaucoup de bagages car les voitures ne sont pas autorisées à vous descendre à Riads à l'intérieur de la Medina.

IInvitéMy stay in Fez was truly memorable, thanks to the warmth and professionalism of Hager, the manager.
We arrived later than planned, reaching the property at 11 p.m. instead of the expected 9 p.m., yet Hager welcomed us with kindness and patience, making us feel completely at ease despite the late hour. That first impression set the tone for the entire stay.
Hager was also incredibly accommodating with breakfast. She kindly arranged breakfast earlier than the usual start time, and it was a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. It was one of the highlights of the stay and a perfect way to start the day.
At the time of leaving Fez, I had arranged my transport independently, but the situation did not go as planned and became stressful. When Hager became aware of this, she went out of her way to help, reassured me, and kindly allowed me to stay at the property during the unexpected delay.
The property is perfectly located in the heart of the medina, offering an authentic Fez experience while remaining peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt welcoming after long days of exploring.
What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality throughout the stay. Hager’s calm, thoughtful, and supportive approach made a real difference and reflects the high standards of this place.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fez — not just for the location and comfort, but for the exceptional hospitality you’ll experience here.

L'emplacement est génial, à quelques pas des labyrinthes de la médina. Séjour génial et j'ai beaucoup apprécié Fès.

AAngie Laibaby ArmchannelLove this Riad, it is so clean and beautiful inside and the roof top with a nice Panorama view . Before arriving the riad, they sent me an email asking my WhatsApp so they can send me the exact location and so video clips for me to know how to get there since Google map doesn’t work when getting inside the Medina . They said if I really couldn’t find the way, they could pick me up in one of the entrances to the riad. I thought I could find it but I failed so I called them. One of the staff came out immediately and helped me my luggage. The two young staff there are very helpful and friendly. Since I was so late to arrive , so one staff (should be called Abdullah) brought me out again so I can Rmb how to get out and in again next time. The other young staff also brought me where I can find friendly convenient store nearby to get essentials. Love them and so helpful. The breakfast was nice too. The AC inside the Room is good and the water pressure and the heat were good too ! Highly recommend this Riad when u travel to fez next time. Rmb to bring ur amenities since they do not provide any bathing items or toothbrush. Recommend the riad to have a rubbish bin in the room instead of just inside the toilet.

Chambre propre et literie confortable
Salle de bain très petite, douche sans bac, l eau coule directement sur le sol et l’eau met pas mal de temps à s écouler par le syphon: pas trop pratique si vous êtes pressés et que vous devez prendre votre douche l un après l’autre rapidement .
Le support de pommeau de douche cassé, il fallait le tenir à la main
Produits d hygiène a ramener, shampooing non fourni ( difficile quand on voyage avec bagage en cabine pour 2-3 jours)
Service de petit déjeuner basique, dommage pour certains produits commerciaux ( olives noires et fromage quiri )
Crepe et brioche préparé sur place, elles étaient très bonne
Emplacement parfait , juste à côté d un de suq de la vieille médina
Pour manger il y a plein de restos sur place mais ils sont relativement chers car on est en zone touristique
Ne pas hésiter à aller manger dans la ville nouvelle, on y va avec taxi pour 2€ par trajet (4€ a/r)
Attention: l hôtel affirme accepter la carte bancaire mais nous n avons pas pu régler 170dirham(17€) par carte car commission trop importante . Que les montants élevés sont acceptés ( à prendre en compte si vous payez en fin de séjour et que vous avez l’argent compté)
Wifi gratuit , terrasse sympa mais dommage ne pas y pouvoir prendre le petit dej

I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

IInvitéLa maison d'hôtes était nichée dans une petite ruelle, mais facile à trouver grâce à Gaode Maps. Attention cependant : alors que j'arrivais presque à destination, deux jeunes hommes m'ont abordé. L'un d'eux m'a demandé où j'allais. Je leur ai montré le nom de l'hôtel, et ils m'ont répondu qu'il n'était pas tout près et m'ont proposé de m'y emmener. J'ai d'abord cru à leur gentillesse, mais après les avoir suivis en rond, ils m'ont réclamé de l'argent une fois arrivés. Sachez que dans les ruelles de Fès, on croise toujours des gens qui proposent leur chemin ; ils essaieront probablement de vous soutirer de l'argent. Les installations et le confort de la maison d'hôtes étaient corrects ; j'en étais assez satisfait.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration.
