This is a heartwarming story of a lost and found. This trip itinerary covered three places: Hanoi --＞ Ninh Binh (2.5-hour drive) Ninh Binh --＞ Ha Long (3-hour drive) Ha Long --＞ Hanoi Airport (2-hour drive) For two nights in Ninh Binh, I stayed at a place called ”Mai Luxury Hotel.” Judging by the name, it sounds grand, but in reality, it was more like a family-run, small-scale single-building guesthouse. However, the room was of 4-star hotel quality, so it was acceptable. After checking out, I had been on the way to Ha Long for about two hours when I realized I had left my Insta 360 camera in the hotel lobby. Knowing there was no way to go back and get it, I had to wait until I arrived in Ha Long before calling Mai Luxury Hotel. After confirming with them that I had indeed left it at the hotel, we started looking for a solution. Initially, they followed me on IG (their hotel IG only had 4 followers). We chatted via DM, and then they added me on WhatsApp to discuss. Originally, they wanted to find a driver that very evening to bring it to my hotel in Ha Long Bay. But because it was a holiday, they couldn't find a driver. Later, they found out I would be leaving Vietnam the next day, so they started looking for any drivers heading to the airport the following day. Not long after, they actually found a driver. They even sent me the driver's and vehicle's details. They also said they had already wrapped it up securely. At this point, I was inclined to believe they genuinely intended to return it. However, if the driver turned out to be dishonest, it could still go missing. On the final day, I arrived at the airport around 1 PM and received a message from the driver. After that, I didn't hear from him again. I grew increasingly anxious inside, thinking maybe he was still driving? Or perhaps he had already kept the camera for himself. Around 4 PM, I finally received a call from the driver. He even captured a photo of my anxious expression while waiting for him. As previously arranged with the hotel, I was to pay him 500,000 VND (about 150 HKD). At that moment, the driver actually handed me back 200,000 VND. Before I could react, he had already gotten back in his car and left. When I looked at the returned item, I could hardly believe it! The hotel had used a ”Happy New Year” bag to hold a ”Happy New Year” box. Upon opening the box, the camera was wrapped in cloth. The level of care and thoughtfulness was truly perfect. The feeling of joy from recovering something lost is truly indescribable. Of course, I wouldn't dare say that everyone in Vietnam is good, but at least on this trip, whether it was the hotpot restaurant owner, the tour guide on the boat, or the hotel staff, they all made me feel the warmth and kindness of the local people.

If you're looking for a place to slow down and truly experience the serenity of Ninh Binh, Bliss Tam Coc Resort is exactly that. The resort is relatively new and beautifully nestled amongst the limestone mountains. Waking up to the sight of the peaks surrounding my balcony, even from the bathroom, was something special. The peaceful morning mist and the gentle sound of rain during an afternoon shower felt like stepping into one of those therapeutic spa soundtracks, except this was real. Some may find the resort a little removed from the main street, but that's precisely its greatest strength. The absolute tranquillity is worth every extra minute of the journey. There are no honking scooters, no crowds, just nature and stillness. My room was enormous, thoughtfully designed, and had everything I needed. One detail immediately caught my attention: there wasn't a television. To my pleasant surprise, the entire resort has deliberately chosen not to install TVs. When I checked out, the manager shared that this was a conscious decision to encourage guests to disconnect from the constant noise of everyday life and truly unwind. As someone who rarely turns on hotel TVs anyway, I absolutely loved this philosophy. The service deserves special mention. Every staff member I met was genuinely warm, attentive, and eager to help. While not everyone spoke fluent English, it never became a barrier. In fact, it added to the authentic charm of the place. The team was resourceful and thoughtful. On one occasion, I had accidentally left my ”Do Not Disturb” sign on while I was out exploring. Instead of simply leaving the room untouched, they reached out to me via WhatsApp to check whether I would still like housekeeping. It's such a simple idea, but it reflects how much they care about guest comfort. Bliss Tam Coc Resort isn't about luxury through extravagance. It's about thoughtful design, genuine hospitality, and creating a peaceful space where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself. I left feeling refreshed, rested, and already thinking about my next visit. Highly recommended.

J'ai trouvé cet hôtel par hasard. Et je dois dire qu'il est vraiment excellent. Tout est neuf, et c'est encore plus beau qu'en photos. La décoration intérieure et les salles de bain sont modernes. Les chambres sont propres et confortables. Je tiens particulièrement à souligner l'hospitalité des hôtes ; je n'ai jamais rien vu de tel. Ils m'ont accueilli le matin sans frais supplémentaires et m'ont même offert un petit-déjeuner. Ils proposent également un service de blanchisserie. J'ai loué un vélo électrique chez eux pour 150 000 roubles ; ils l'ont ajusté à ma taille et ont même gonflé les pneus. Un matin, il y a eu une coupure de courant. Ils m'ont prévenu à l'avance par WhatsApp et m'ont offert le petit-déjeuner pour s'excuser, ce qui était très gentil de leur part. Toute la famille est accueillante et m'a traité comme un membre de la famille. L'établissement est idéal pour les longs séjours ; il est situé dans une rue calme et paisible, et le centre-ville est à deux pas.

* A Hidden Paradise in Ninh Bình * Je n'ai pas espéré trouver quelque chose de calme. La piscine est l'une des plus belles que j'aie jamais vu : sans spot, calme, et parfaitement encadré par les palmiers et les bungalows de toit. Chaque matin, je me suis assise à côté de l'eau avec les montagnes qui se montent juste derrière les toits, et il se sentait vraiment comme si le monde extérieur avait disparu. Ce qui a fait le séjour vraiment spécial, cependant, était le service. Le personnel était chaud, attentif et se déplacent constamment de leur façon de rendre les clients confortables de la relaxante socket complimentaire de pieds par la rivière à de petits touches comme le thé frais et les snacks locaux servis dans les bowls traditionnels sur la table de bambou. Rien ne se sentait pressé ou transactionnel; toutes les interactions se sentaient réelles et de nature. Le paysage environnant est étonnant bambou groves, un pavillon flottant sur l'eau, et les montagnes enveloppées dans la plus grande partie des matins. Les chambres sont simples mais confortables, mélangant naturellement dans le paysage avec des tones terrestres et des toits attachés qui s'adaptent parfaitement au décor. Si vous cherchez une évasion pacifique avec une véritable hospitalité, des installations propres et un environnement naturel magnifique, je ne peux pas recommander assez cet endroit.

Pro: Tout est assez positif, nettoyage non excellent (sous les lits, je crois qu'ils n'ont jamais nettoyé). Petit déjeuner simple mais bon. Personnel très gentil, nous a mis dans une chambre plus grande que celle réservée. Nous avons loué le moteur avec eux, prix raisonnable. Cons: nettoyage à améliorer pour la poussière et le verre. Lençonneuses et serviettes propres, je parle de nettoyage de la chambre. Chaque soir, nous avons trouvé au moins 2 feuilles dans le bain (qui sortaient probablement d'un trou derrière le lave-linge), nous étions au premier étage (mais d'autres garçons qui étaient à 3 n'avaient pas de problèmes), il n'y avait que deux savons et aucun mousse de bain. Il parle de mini-frigo, mais en fait aucune chambre n'a. Sur le site il y a une photo d'une piscine qui ne appartient pas à la structure. C'est bon pour le prix payé.

Très bonne auberge, très atmosphérique grâce aux rochers. Les avantages : - Emplacement pratique, proche du centre, des magasins et des principales attractions. - Petit déjeuner buffet inclus. - Super équipe à la réception, le jeune homme Minh m'a aidé à réserver un billet pour Cat Ba avec transfert direct depuis l'hôtel 😍. - Possibilité de laver et sécher le linge, de louer des vélos/scooters moyennant un supplément. - La beauté du lieu. - Prix bas. Le seul petit inconvénient est l'escalier un peu inconfortable, je me suis tordu la cheville quelques fois, mais ce sont des détails.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience with the staff. The service was truly excellent — 100/10. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and quick to assist whenever there was an issue. One of the best things about this hotel is the view. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful, with a great natural atmosphere that makes the stay feel very relaxing. However, the hotel is still very new (it seems to have opened less than a month ago. /ฃWe stayed on June 24,2026), so guests should expect that there may still be some things that are not fully ready yet. If you prefer a smoother and more complete stay, I would recommend waiting another 2–3 months. I believe the hotel will be much more prepared by then. The hotel had a swimming pool, steam room, and sauna, but unfortunately the steam room and sauna were not ready to use yet. The hotel also offers motorbike rental, but the condition of the rental bike could be improved. The room itself was nice, but because the hotel is new and has had very few guests. There was also a new building smell (possibly paint or construction materials). There was ongoing construction nearby as well. I experienced a drainage issue during my stay, but the staff handled it very quickly and provided excellent support. Their attitude and service really made a difference. At the time of my visit, there was only one other family staying, so breakfast was served as a set menu instead of a buffet, which is understandable with fewer guests. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and really appreciated the amazing staff. With some time for improvements, I think this hotel has great potential.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cette charmante maison d'hôtes à Hoa Lu, près de Ninh Binh, et c'était parfait. Les propriétaires sont adorables et attentionnés ; ils ne parlent pas beaucoup anglais, mais ils vous accueillent chaleureusement. C'était notre meilleure expérience au Vietnam. La chambre était très propre et confortable, avec une jolie salle de bain et une vue sur le jardin et la piscine. La nourriture était excellente : nous avons pris le petit-déjeuner, le déjeuner, le dîner et même le café l'après-midi, et tout était délicieux. Nous avons également loué une moto auprès de la maison d'hôtes, ce qui était très facile. Je recommande vivement cet endroit si vous recherchez le calme, la bonne cuisine et des gens charmants.

Ninh Binh Harmony Retreat, de notre expérience, ne peut que correspondre à une oasis de calme, de beauté et de tranquillité. Le personnel est exceptionnel, mais cela ne fait que sous-estimer le niveau de service et d'engagement. Chi, le gestionnaire, va bien au-dessus et au-delà de tous les niveaux que nous avons connus dans nos nombreux voyages. L'équipe qui guide Chi tout au long de la journée est amicale, sociale et authentique et ne peut aller loin assez loin . Ils anticipent toute nécessité ou désir avant de vous rendre compte et de créer des moments et des mémoires que vous ne pouvez souhaiter que surviendrait dans d'autres établissements. Chi, Hunee et Tony, ainsi que d'autres membres du personnel dont nous n'avons malheureusement pas obtenu les noms, sont l'âme et le cœur de la rétractation harmonieuse de Ninh Binh. Le Retreat est situé sur une route principale, dans une rue pleine de enfants et de familles riant. Il y a une merveilleuse piscine, adaptée aux familles, une table de 8 balles, karaoke, bikes et le petit-déjeuner et le café le plus incroyable. Nous voyageons en grande partie et nous avons eu une expérience personnelle honnête et réelle qui nous a fait sentir vraiment préoccupés.

3~4 May 2026 - 4 Pax 1N Narci Resort Tam Coc. Hotel Manager Jenny sent me a WhatsApp message on 2nd May to welcome us and offered her assistance to arrange for private transport & local tour etc.. Am pleased with the extended service provided by the hotel staff. Since I've yet to find a private driver, she helped to arrange for 2-way transport, pick-up from Hanoi hotel ＞ Narci Resort ＞ Hanoi International Airport (reasonable fees). We arrived at Tam Coc around 1pm, dropped the luggage at the hotel & visited Bai Dinh Pagoda. Checked-in the hotel around 9pm. A modern & beautiful resort opened Feb 2026. To our surprise, our 3x Deluxe Garden Rooms were in different villas & all on level 2 without elevator. My mom age 80 were unhappy as she couldn't climb the stairs & my sisters age 60 & 67 were unhappy that we were separated by different villas. Fortunately, there are 2x Executive Garden Rooms on the ground floor were available but one of the room has smell. So, we decided to pay additional fee for upgrade of 1x Deluxe ＞ 1x Executive + 1x FOC extra bed (3 pax), the other sister stayed the level 2 Deluxe Room. Hotel breakfast spread is good & food is delicious. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel rooms & staff service. Would suggest the hotel to state there is no elevator for Deluxe Garden Room (level 2), so that guests who are unable to climb the stairs will select either the ground floor Executive Garden Room or the Tower Standard Rooms with elevator.
