Our stay at Chalet Ivy Jozankei was truly memorable and one of the best luxury hotel experiences we have had in Japan. The hotel is beautifully designed, impeccably maintained, and the hospitality from most of the staff was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely lady at reception (whose name I unfortunately did not catch), who shared that she personally grows the beautiful flowers displayed in the hotel's sitting area. That personal touch immediately made us feel at home. Mr. Tai, who checked us in, was friendly, patient, courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the room features and hotel facilities in detail, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The cleanliness deserves special recognition. I am particularly sensitive to cleanliness and usually notice dust very easily, yet I could not find a single speck of dirt anywhere in the room. It is honestly one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The lounge was another highlight. Each guest received a ¥1,000 alcoholic drink credit, and the complimentary snacks featured premium Hokkaido brands such as LeTAO, Yoshimi and Ryugetsu, making the experience feel truly luxurious. Dinner was outstanding. Every course was beautifully presented and delicious, while the restaurant staff provided attentive and polished service. The hotel's tasteful interior perfectly complemented the stunning views of the lush greenery and Toyohira River. We were also delighted to find beautifully cut and chilled melon and strawberries waiting in our room upon arrival. It was a thoughtful welcome that reflected the hotel's exceptional attention to detail. Breakfast was equally impressive, with beautifully prepared dishes that made each morning enjoyable. The private onsen in our room was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stay, allowing us to relax while enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings. While our overall experience was excellent, I have a few suggestions for improvement. One Japanese male staff member who was on duty during check-in and later that evening came across as rather cold. On several occasions, I smiled and greeted him, but he did not acknowledge me and simply walked away. The contrast with the warmth shown by the rest of the team was quite noticeable. As such a premium property, it would also be wonderful if the hotel could offer more cultural or wellness activities, such as tea appreciation sessions, guided evening walks or seasonal experiences. During a previous stay at Capella Singapore, these activities became some of the most memorable parts of our visit, and I believe Chalet Ivy Jozankei has the perfect setting to offer something similar. I would also like to suggest a different restaurant seating arrangement for tables of four. Currently, only two guests can enjoy the beautiful river and greenery views while the other two face the interior of the restaurant. Arranging the tables perpendicular to the windows would allow all four guests to enjoy the spectacular scenery during their meal. Lastly, although we appreciated receiving tickets to the Summer Night Illumination Festival, accessing the main street requires walking up a very steep slope that is shared with vehicles, which could be challenging and potentially unsafe for elderly guests. In the future, perhaps a pedestrian bridge connecting Level 5 directly to the street level could improve accessibility and safety. Overall, Chalet Ivy Jozankei delivered an exceptional luxury experience with outstanding cleanliness, thoughtful hospitality, remarkable cuisine and beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return in the future. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so memorable.

Le lit le plus confortable que j'aie jamais eu dans un hôtel. Le lit était très confortable et très confortable, avec des pantalons et des lins doux et de qualité. Avant même d'arriver à l'entrée, le personnel s'est occupé de nos bagages. Le hall n'était pas grand, mais la décoration était très élégante et la température très agréable. On nous a même offert des boissons chaudes aux fruits en guise de bienvenue, un vrai délice ! On nous a également laissé choisir une adorable figurine de sapin de Noël derrière le comptoir, en guise de cadeau de bienvenue ! Nos bagages étaient déjà dans notre chambre à notre arrivée le soir même. Comme c'était l'anniversaire de ma femme, l'hôtel nous avait prévenus par e-mail et avait préparé une petite décoration, une attention très appréciable. Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel était à la hauteur de ses standards cinq étoiles et notre séjour a été des plus agréables. Le grand magasin Sapporo Factory se trouve juste en face, ce qui est magnifique ! Le seul inconvénient est qu'il faut prendre le bus ou marcher 5 à 10 minutes jusqu'à la station de métro pour s'y rendre, ce qui est un peu fatigant. Sinon, rien à redire !

Excellent service, staff and amenities, even though I only got 4 hours of sleep it was a very good experience, I will definitely come back next time I come to Hokkaido

Exceptional Private Onsen & Hokkaido Flavors. Overall Impression: A perfect blend of convenience and cozy. Despite the bustling atmosphere and classic, dark decor, the private onsen and dining experience make this a standout choice in the area. Hightlights: The room: Spacious with beautiful wooden floors and a private outdoor onsen. Soaking in the heat while snow falls is pure magic. Features like the ”His&Her” sinks and an in-room massage chair make our stay more comfortable. All complimentary in the room adds a thoughful touch. Dining: The buffet offers and impressive variety of local dishes alongside beautifully plated mains. Even when busy, the staff sustematically managed the seating, ensuring we enjoyed the stunning winter views comfortably. The Hokkaido cheese pizza and dessert are absolute must-tries. Location and Service: Perfectly situated in the heart of the sightseeing district, with famous sweet shop right nearby. The complimentary valet parking and polight, perfessional staff made our stay seamless. Observations: Atmosphere: The common areas can feel a bit crowded due to its popularity. Design: The room interiors are a bit outdated and lean toward very dark tones, and notably, Netflix is not available on the in-room TV. Note: Windows are fixed; ventilation is managed via the onsen balcony door. Verdict: Highly recommended for foodies and onsen lovers who want to be the center of the action.

Amour des restaurants italiens, chinois et japonais. Ski en ski. Beau piscine intérieure et jacuzzis. Salle de sport équipée. Les trucs privés sont disponibles dans certains types de chambre. Un peu de problème d'infestation de bogues intérieurs et le personnel général a besoin de plus de formation, compte tenu de la classe de prix de l'hôtel. Sinon, le séjour le plus proche à la perfection dans n'importe quel ski resort partout dans le monde!

1. Transports : L'hôtel n'assure pas de transfert et n'indique pas le mode d'arrivée. Bien qu'il ne soit qu'à environ 300 mètres de la gare routière d'Uden-ro Onsen, il est difficile de marcher avec un gros sac dans la neige, et Google Maps est mal situé. En réalité, des arrêts pour le centre naturel, l'aéroport et la gare JR se trouvent juste devant l'hôtel. 2. Situation : Proche de la mer, mais séparé par la jetée, pas vraiment en bord de mer. Des montagnes s'étendent de part et d'autre ; la chambre avec vue sur la mer offre peu de vue sur le lever et le coucher du soleil. Les bains du huitième étage, situés à l'ouest, sont visibles, mais peu adaptés aux photos. Comparé aux hôtels Kiki et Shiretoko No. 1 situés en montagne, la visibilité de cet hôtel est médiocre. 3. Équipements : Bonnes installations, prix correct. Les bains sont petits, l'expérience est acceptable pour les personnes peu nombreuses, mais jugée moins satisfaisante par les personnes plus nombreuses. Salle de sport et salon confortables. 4. Repas : Petits déjeuners variés, manque d'œufs et de fromage chauds, petit four, peu de places assises près des fenêtres. Le menu habituel est fraîchement préparé, mais la quantité est insuffisante et les ingrédients sont ordinaires. Heureusement, vous pouvez acheter des boules de glace à la pâtisserie à l'entrée. Le café maison est délicieux et abordable. 5. Service : Basique, aucun service, expérience médiocre. En bref, si vous n'y avez jamais vécu, vous pouvez essayer. Si vous y avez vécu, je n'y retournerai probablement pas.

I had an enjoyable stay at Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere and is a wonderful place to experience the beauty of Lake Akan. The service was excellent throughout my stay. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, always greeting guests with a smile and making every interaction pleasant. Their hospitality really enhanced the overall experience. The onsen facilities were one of the highlights of the hotel. They are spacious, beautifully designed, and have a luxurious feel, offering a great variety of indoor and outdoor baths. The only minor drawback was that the top-floor outdoor bath did not appear to be as clean as the other baths. Overall, the onsen experience was still great. The room was a little on the compact side, but it was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, I had a great stay and Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga is a great choice in Lake Akan.

There is no chair although there is a small round table inside this twin room. The bath room is a step lower than the outside floor, nearly tripped me. The safe deposit box is battery low, the hotel start replaced the battery within 5 minutes. Otherwise the room is ok and the location is excellent, the breakfast is also good but it's style may not fovors everyone

Le paysage de l'hôtel est vraiment magnifique, avec vue sur le lac d'un côté, vue sur la mer de l'autre et vue sur la montagne de l'autre. Marcher dans la neige pendant trois heures pour voir le paysage m'a rendu heureux physiquement et mentalement. Les enfants skient dans la station de ski de l'hôtel🎿. Il y a peu de monde et il n'y a pas lieu de s'inquiéter pour la sécurité. Il existe deux types de petit-déjeuner, de style occidental et japonais. J'ai essayé les deux et ils sont très bons. Il n'y a pratiquement aucun endroit où manger pour déjeuner et prendre un verre, mais il y a une boulangerie au premier étage. Le pain fraîchement sorti du four est très bon et vous pouvez également acheter un gâteau pour le thé de l'après-midi. Vous devez réserver à l'avance pour un restaurant pour le dîner. Bien que le prix soit cher, l'environnement et le service sont très bons.
