St Moritz Hotel

EVery thing about this Hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The food in the restaurant was perfect, wonderful and different menu, the waiting staff explained everything to us and were always near but not obtrusive. We will certainly be returning to the St Maritz and we have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you for making our much needed break very special

It was a pleasure to return to the St Moritz Hotel. It is ideally situated for walking the coast path and visiting Polzeath, Rock, Padstow, Port Isaac & Boscastle. As expected, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. Dining in the Shorecrest restaurant every evening did not disappoint as chef Vicki & her team prepared excellent food. Also worthy of special mention are Asha and Andy who know their food & wines. Many thanks for their recommendations & great service.

We had the most amazing stay! Firstly the staff were just amazing and made our stay really memorable. They were helpful and kind and made you feel very welcome!We had relaxing salt scrub massages, then relaxed in our room with free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a real pint of milk(none of those little plastic pots), biscuits and bottled water. The pool was being refurbished but we could get the complimentary minibus to the local health club for a swim. We also took the minibus down to Rock to get the ferry to Padstow. Jez gave us a guided tour on route which was great! Evening meal and breakfast were tasty! We cannot wait to go back again!

The hotel is amazing! Fabulous location, amazing sea view, kind staff, lovely environment and atmosphere. It was my birthday during our stay and they kindly have some birthday chocolates on our arrival. Breakfast is delicious, great variety and excellent quality.

So dissapointed with this hotel. We stayed here last year and loved it but it has gone rapidly downhill. Had a 'cosy room' which was extremely small. The bed was a small double, bed constantly creaked and was very uncomfortable. I asked for a different room but they could only offer us a suite at an extra charge of £1000! Carpets were absolutely filthy and the room was tired. Used the 'wild spa' which was an experience to say the least! A few wood fired hot tubs which they were charging £35pp!! Looked more like Step-Toes yard than a luxury outdoor spa. Broke my toe getting in the hot tub to top it off which ruined the whole holiday. The lady who worked in the spa was lovely and couldn't do enough. There was no follow up by any other member of staff during our stay to make sure I was ok after going to A&E. Food in the restaurant was hit and miss. On two occasions I phoned to ask for a table and was told the restaurant was fully booked, however, after sitting in the bar I could only see 3 out 16 tables occupied for 2 hours! Very understaffed, tired looking restaurant and bar and extremely expensive! Enjoyed listening the staffs personal conversations, some interesting topics!! A really dissapointing stay here as we love Polzeath. I payed a substantial amount of money to stay at the St Moritz for a luxury break but have had better room/bed/service/food at a Premier Inn. A lot of work needs to be done here if you intend on charging high end prices!!

We stayed in a beautiful sea view suite which was perfect. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The sunsets every evening were amazing from our balcony. The St Moritz is a great base for the area and you can go walking straight from the door.

A group of friends and I visited the Wild Spa at the hotel today. It was an absolute delight. The outdoor spa complete with fire pit was such a unique experience. We all braved the 3 degree water tub in between enjoying the sauna and wood burner hot tub. The day was made even better by the service from Jack and Petra. They were attentive whilst allowing us to feel very relaxed. We also chose to add on a food option which was delicious. Thank you for such a lovely treat.

Over breakfast, the six of us were already talking about NYE 2024, and unless something spectacular comes our way, we'll be looking to book St Moritz again! From memory, we have spent New Year's Eve at this hotel for four out of the last five years (other than the lockdown). What stands out here, first and foremost, are the excellent staff. Harry greeted us like an old friend! As I've said before on here, service makes or breaks a hotel/restaurant visit, nothing worse than booking a venue where the staff seem disinterested and disengaged as we have also experienced this year at some other hotels. Off the top of my head and apologies for missing anyone and in no particular order. Chloe, Harry,Andy,James,Rachel!!!, the two excellent ladies who seem to run the restaurant and breakfast service whose names escape me. Despite the lively weather, the Wild Spa was great fun, and the staff made the best of things. Great way to start the New Year! 5 stars all round once again

The hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have had the privilege to stay at. Excellent position / rooms /food / staff Thankyou all at the St Moritz for a truly wonderful stay Looking forward to returning sooner than later 🤞
