Apartamentos Turisticos Silchoro

Hi I'm planning to book this hotel but my dad is disabled do you have walk in showers in any of the apartments? And do you have two access to the apartments?

Pros: Short journey from airport Very large rooms (we had a 2 bed) room 517 Greeted by smiles by lovely gentleman on reception Pool food was reasonable and yummy (try the club sandwich 🥪) Extra pillows were in the wardrobe in living room Beds were hard but that's my preference anyway...I slept great Maid we met was a lovely lady full of smiles and so sweet, stayed 4 nights and rooms, linens, towels, changed twice. If you want more....simply ask with a smile Kitchen fully stocked (we found Delph and a few more bits in the cupboard under the tv) Cons: Pool was like an ice bath, too cold to really enjoy Hotel a distance away from everything but in fairness taxis are cheap enough Woken 2 mornings before 7.30 by drilling overhead so obvious renovations, bit annoying. Tips: If you want chaos and noise, the ***** is for you. The old town is my choice but it's gotten more loud over the years which is a bit sad. We ventured past the bank and up to the right, quiter and a lot cheaper on the pocket for drinks, food and knick knacks. Would I go back to this hotel? Yes...if I got a good deal! Its clean, away from the madness and staff are genuinely lovely. Thanks for an amazing holiday.

Group of us went to stay here for a week! The most disgusting place. Staff were incredibly unfriendly and rude. Hotel was full of ants and staff did nothing to help us, and just sprayed some bug spray on them. When ordering lunch here, the staff practically threw us our food and when asking staff a question, they rolled their eyes and ignored us. The owner was miserable when we asked if we could change rooms or get it cleaned and we got denied both even though the room was full of ants at no fault of our own. Do not waste your money.

• On arrival the reception area smelled extremely strongly of curry/stale food • This smell emanated throughout the public areas and the apartment itself and did not dispel during the 18 hours we were there • The balcony overlooked the main road – with frequent heavy traffic, only subsiding between 2am and 6am, not somewhere to sit and relax in the evening as I had requested • The first 3 floors were obviously let to longer term casual workers – mostly single men judging by those hanging around in the evening and also by the age and state of the cars in the parking lot, and significant number of courier bicycles complete with Uber delivery bags. • There were signs posted throughout the foyer, snack bar and pool area detailing in full things which we would not be allowed to do. (photos attached) These were confirmed by the young man serving in the snack bar when I was told that I would need to “take-away” my soft drink as it was served in a plastic bottle, when I did not wish to purchase a dispensed drink. • I feel I should be able to use seating in the public pool area without having to purchase something from the snack bar, or pay to rent a sunbed! • The only other holiday residents appeared to be 1 group of 6 young women and several lone older men. There was 1 family of 4 who had arrived the previous day, and whom I met after taking the shuttle into the old town, who confirmed they had already requested a transfer to other accommodation. • Perhaps in an attempt to separate short and long term residents all access routes in and out of the grounds were locked which meant the only way to leave the building was through the reception foyer. • These padlocked exits meant that the 4 closest stairwells to our apartment did not allow access to the meeting point in event of an emergency, and all residents would have needed to use a single stairwell. • The apartment itself whilst basic as I expected from a 3 star property were not fit for purpose. • The apartment door had a very old lock on, which appeared to be quite easy to force. Whilst there was a door guard on the inside of the door which we could use whilst we slept, it was of no benefit if we were out. I would have had concerns about security of our property. • There were no sockets in the kitchen area – and the nearest socket to the table was too low for the kettle or toaster cable to reach. Therefore we had to use the kettle on the floor (photo attached) • The apartment was serviced by a hot water boiler located above the fridge freezer in the kitchenette. The boiler capacity and/or functionality did not provide sufficient hot water for 2 people to shower. In fact I estimate that there was no more than 3 minutes of hot water available before running cold. It was more than 4 hours before hot water ran through any of the taps. • The bathroom had a removable plastic toilet seat?? (photo attached) • The apartments had a vacant lot next to it. This lot contained 5 smashed up and burnt out cars, and i

Couldn’t give this 5 stars because it wasn’t perfect but paying £300pp for flights hotel and transfers for a week you can’t complain! Booked this through Jet2 as a first girls holiday with myself and 7 friends. To be honest after reading the reviews after booking we were absolutely dreading it but ended up having a good experience! we arrived early morning and the rooms weren’t ready yet so they let us keep our luggage in a safe room while we walked down to the ***** and explored (10 ish minute walk) rooms were outdated as many have said but didn’t bother us, you get what you pay for and if you want nice fancy rooms go somewhere more expensive, were actually very spacious and perfect for us to have our own space and beds were comfortable enough everybody slept fine. We weren’t planning on spending much time in the hotel and going out most days but ended up staying by the pool most days as it was perfect, the cafe by the pool had a variety of drinks, food, ice creams ect at a reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and helpful and charged us less than expected for the deposit which we did get back. bed sheets and towels changed after 2 days. We found the old town was better than the ***** which isn’t walking distance away but ubers very cheap (around 3 euros) so we went every day and it was worth it! there is also a free shuttle bus to the beach (3 times a day i think) A few minor problems- we had an issue with ants in one of the rooms but after informing the staff they immediately sent someone up to disinfect the room and said if the problem came back they’d move us, as helpful as can be, considering. The rooms were otherwise clean. The food wasn’t amazing but for snacks and lunch type stuff such as chips/pizzas/toasties ect it was fine, and we went out for dinner most evenings. No air con in rooms which we knew but you could hire fans at reception which i chose to do and was happy with. Like i said you cant expect perfection with the low price you’re paying and i can say it was absolutely worth it for the price, don’t let bad reviews put you off it’s not as bad as has been made out and if you care about the few minor things just book somewhere better and more expensive. We had an amazing holiday and would happily come to silchoro again and recommend if you want a cheap holiday.

The rooms were very outdated but had an enjoyable 4 nights there. If you wanted a drink or some food they only do a minimum €5 euro card transaction. People nowadays don't carry cash so wasn't pleased. I won't be returning

It was a very basic hotel, lots of moths, ants, and spiders in the room. Even bogeys wiped on the walls. Also no air con and charge you for using a fan. They also say there is WiFi but it does not work. The cleaner came and emptied the bins, however never actually cleaned or changed the sheets (as promised). Pool area is nice.

After reading reviews I was sure it wasn't going to be great! Yes, does need updating, beds aren't great but had an enjoyable time. Staff very friendly, rooms very clean. Pool area was clean and relaxed. Would definitely stay again

I booked this hotel after reading a couple of good reviews. I then took some time reading some more and was dreading staying here. However we had the best time ever. We checked in and the receptionist was lovely. All staff very friendly. Room very spacious and clean. Towels and sheets changed after 2 days. Prices reasonable and happy hour daily. Very cheap. Pool clean and pool bar breakfast and snacks delicious. Will definitely be returning. 10-15 min walk to new town ***** of bars. 5-7 euro in taxi to old town. Hotel is dated but clean.
