Hwy 17 Hotel

We had driven over 12 hrs, looking for a late night place to stay. The front desk staff was so helpful and went out of his way to make us comfortable and make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms (2) were newly renovated and very clean and comfortable. Great experience and would highly recommend.

I stopped in Wawa for late lunch then decided to stay in the area overnight. After looking at TripAdvisor, I found this place. I was not far away and drove over. The sign near the road looks very dated however the building looks new. When I went inside I had to ring a bell for service. The innkeeper was at the desk in 1 minute. We talked, negotiated, I got a good deal - $99 for one night. Everything in the motel and room looked quite new or newly renovated. The room was comfortable and had a refrigerator and microwave. The Queen bed was comfortable. The private washroom and bathtub/shower were very clean. I'll plan my next trip through the area so as to stop here again.

Room was perfect, , clean, and spacious. Friendly staff. Stayed there on our way out west and on our way back home. Bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. It is right on the highway so it was easy to find. It is also pet friendly.

When I booked a room at Hwy 17 hotel I thought it’s going to be just a basic hotel because of the previous reviews on Tripadvisor, but they tricked me. This place was perfect for stay and rest before our trip to Edmonton. Front Desk guy was funny with his Spanish and German words ( I am Spanish and my husband is German). To get to the point, place is clean with coffee,cookies and tea that are always available and laundry on site. Wi Fi was good and there was AC in the room which was amazing after sitting whole day in the car without AC. I kindly recommend this place and will get back here again from Edmonton to Halifax! I had really good experience at Hwy 17 Hotel. Staff was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was quite dark but we asked for an extra lamp and they provided it. Beds are comfy and whole room was cozy with a fireplace in. Cookies were tasty and coffee was fresh. Definitely recommend this place!

What a pleasant surprise! easy to find, recently upgraded and not just to cover up old walls but really well done! Graciously greeted by George (excuse me if I got that wrong) at the front desk and directed to a beautiful first floor room we had requested. They also allowed our dogs (we checked ahead to make sure). Gave us directions to a lovely restaurant. Couldn't not have been happier and for someone who travels often, that is not a statement I make very often.

Highway 17 Motel was the Perfect stop while on my way to BC! The room was very clean and perfect for my needs. The staff were kind and friendly and the location was great, very close to everything I needed. Also, pet friendly! I highly recommend this motel.

Me and my significant other stayed here September 10th, 2022 after driving back from Winnipeg. We checked in at 5am to get some rest before continuing on our journey back to Toronto and was told we have the room until 6pm. Unfortunately, we were not able to get ANY rest due to someone UNLOCKING our door (no knocking) not once, not TWICE, but THREE TIMES in the span of the 5-6 hours. As a female I felt EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE waking up to seeing a guy standing in the doorway and had to leave. When we spoke to staff we were told that check out was at 11:00am and that’s why no one announced themselves. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Paid $187 to have someone walk in three times in the span of 6 hours. If we didn’t wake up it makes me question his intentions were for walking in three times, what would’ve happened if I was by myself? We received $30.00 back and was offered a discount for our next stay. Which won’t be happening. You couldn’t give me a FREE WEEK to stay there. Better off in your car with your doors locked. 🔐 DO NOT STAY HERE!! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

We arrived after a long drive. There were people standing by the door smoking that we had to walk by to get into the motel. The floor was sticky in our room. The tv didn’t work even after the front staff tried to fix it. The bathtub was dirty and there was no place to put my toiletries in the bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
