Heliconia Villa

Stayed in awesome Heliconia Villa for 8 days. The Villa is beautiful and situated at great location of Seminayak Shopping street having lots of Pubs, restaurants and fashion shops. Inspite of being on happening street but no noise reaches the Villas. It us great place to relax inside your villa by the side of your own swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped, the place is cleaned everyday, ever smiling staff willing to help and answer your queries. I had again booked it to return in November.

Where to begin… firstly the reception area, if you can call it that, is a run down open concrete space more akin to a laundry than a welcoming space for a nice villa. This should be your cue to turn around and find somewhere else to stay, or you can make our mistake and check in anyway… Be warned, the photographs make the the place look beautiful and are extremely misleading if the dump-hole Villa 2 is anything to go by. The facility is tired, grubby and run down to put it mildly. The outside kitchen isn’t somewhere you would ever want to cook a meal unless sudden weight loss is your bag. The outside seating and pool area has mildew decorated walls with a crumbling fountain and blinds you don’t want to touch and the lounger’s delicately positioned in front of a crumbling, dirty concrete area which will do wonders for your kids immune system if you pop them in there for a play. At the back of the bedroom and it’s horrible dated furniture there is a dark weird pool with a couple of depressed carp who look like they would rather take their chances on the streets than be trapped there any longer. And then there’s the bathroom… which appears to have been modelled on a 1970’s truck stop public rest room, all that’s missing is a glory hole and a couple of crack ******* to give it the full ambience of the decor. Don’t try and stand under the shower if you are over 5’8” because that’s as high as it goes, might want to think about wearing something on your feet as well. Not worth the money, not even close, should be priced at less than $100 per night to reflect what you get. We spent our hour there booking somewhere else and then left. Checking the reviews we are not the first people to do this. Very disappointing.

This is under the best places in Saminyak to stay. In the city and is so quiet to relax and to enjoy family stay by the pool. Best guest service and clean. It's easy to go shopping and lots restaurants near hotel. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended from us.

Staff very friendly and helpful, manager Tirta is a lovely lady, gardens well looked after by Wayan and house keeping staff friendly also. The duplex villas need improving. Shower was hot and cold and on our last day no water at all. The upstairs room shower also not good. Towels were very old, grey in colour but also very thin. They need new ones. Location was great and also quiet at night. Always felt safe once in villa and trustworthy staff.

We stayed here for 6 nights as a couple wanting a peaceful private pool villa with easy access to cafes/restaurants and transport. The villa is beautiful, spacious and fantastic value for money. Staff are friendly and we were able to check in after 11pm. There was a turn down service nightly, pool towels and lounger chairs, and umbrellas for the rain showers. It is a super quiet spot down a driveway with all sorts of flowers and tropical fare. Right outside there is a multitude of cafes, restaurants, pharmacy across the road and a couple of convenience stores less than 5 mins walk away. It is still walking distance to Seminyak beach, next door there are massage places and taxis/scooter rides without pre booking can happen as soon as you go outside. An ‘easy’ place to book for a relaxed holiday and can definitely recommend.

The villa was amazing, clean and comfortable also a great location in Seminyak. The staff were amazing. It was like a hidden little gem off busy eat street and you couldn’t even here the noise from the Main Street. It was fantastic. I would highly recommend

The positives: The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and responsive. Location is also excellent, located off Seminyak's popular eat street. Whilst the area is super busy, the premises is still quiet and peaceful. Pool is exceptional. Things that could be better: It's well overdue for a refurb. We stayed in the two bedroom villa, and every day there was a different problem. Hot water system died in both bathrooms, at different times. Shower nozzles fell out of walls and the safe batteries kept diving and they replaced them what appeared to more used batteries needless to say, the problem continued). It rained so heavy, that the rain pretty much came into the entire living area and turned the place into a giant slip hazard, with tiny and few few floor mats to address. We even had a plague of termites arrive and take up residence. All of those things were relatively minor, however my biggest concern is the linen. The once white towels, were grey, and felt like cardboard. Furniture is uncomfortable and because its outdoors, everything needs a good scrub. I spent my first morning removing all the brown table cloths and scrubbing the table tops. As the title says, so much potential. With the staff they have, if the owner just spent a little bit of money, over time to fix this place up, it would be amazing. Its just a bit outdated for the price also.

I stayed here for 5 nights, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet despite being located directly onto Eat Street. Security was great, the villa was sparkling clean, and a good size. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good option for either a solo traveler or couple. Walking distance to all in Seminyak. And loved having a private pool!

I had a lovely stay for 9 nights in a very private, one bedroom deluxe villa. It was exactly as the pictures showed, clean, neat and tidy. The private pool was the perfect temperature and was well used! The bedroom had good air conditioning for when you needed a cooler break, but you can spend plenty of time outside, in and out of the refreshing pool. The shower was great with good water pressure and a large shower rose. The villa had a large 15 litre bottle of water to use which was very handy for filling up water bottles. The location was close to everything in Seminyak being on Eat Street with many wonderful restaurants close by, mini marts, shops and massages. The villas are set back from the road and are very quiet, so noise is not an issue. The lengthy laneway leading to the villas is monitored by cameras so I felt safe coming and going. Tirta and the team were very helpful and responsive on what’s app, and organized my laundry delivery and pick up as I couldn’t find one nearby. If you are after a comfy, clean, enjoyable villa then this would definitely suit. As I said, it was exactly as the pictures showed. I would stay there again and loved my relaxing time being back in beautiful Bali!
