Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the hotel staff and they helped in bringing the baggage into the rooms.
Initially there was a misunderstanding as we booked 3 deluxe and 1 family suite, but was given all deluxe rooms. The misunderstanding was immediately corrected by the staff and we managed to get our booked rooms.
Once entered the room, it was to our surprise as the floors were very sticky and the air-conditioning systems were poor as no cooled air available at all. The staff convinced us that it was due to the air-conditioning had just been switched on prior to our arrival. We asked for rooms change the day after but were told that all rooms were fully booked. Apparently, there were no cooled air at all for the rest of our 5 days stay!
Breakfast was provided but not so much of a variety, only the same dishes offered every day.
Swimming pool is opened but not frequently maintained. You can see leaves that fell from nearby trees inside the pool all the time.
Housekeeping was poor. They opted to miss out one of our rooms from housekeep, that ended up no towel change and untidy bedsheets. Complimentary bottles of water also were not replaced daily. I was even scolded by the housekeeper when I asked for a bottle of water (it's supposed to be complimentary!)
Overall, it was a bad stay for us at this hotel. Despite carrying "Holiday Villa" titled in it's name, it failed to live up to the standards and expectations. It's kind of ruined our New Year Holiday in Bali, unfortunately.
