Avis : Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan

Hotel location is good, in the city centre. This is my second time staying at this hotel and got a little disappointed as the hotel is wearing down.. bedsheets are old, towels are yellowish.

Good hotel and service for the price

Electricity cut off for 5times in a night, terrible.

Location - a long walk to the main road via a Balikpapan Ocean Square mall which is quite outdated and poorly maintained. Room as well as the hotel in general needs upgrading as it is quite aged.

Location was good. Next to a mall. Mall was pretty much empty tho. Room was okay as I stayed only for one night. Might have to give a little bit attention on the floor carpet. There's some strangr smell once you reach your floor. Breakfast option was good. Overall for the price I paid, it was a good choice for business travellers.

Brief overnight stay. Everything was fine. The room was comfortable and spacious. The balcony and sea view was a bonus. Nice big shower in the bathroom but no hand towels. Wi-Fi was good but required a different log-in when outside the room. In the common areas, the gym was good and pretty well equipped. The covered pool was a bit small and random. Unfortunately we had to skip breakfast as we had a very early flight to catch.

I was lucky enough to be able to check in early at Swissbell hotel. However, despite requesting a room with a sea view, I was given a room with a view of an unsightly building. I have stayed at Swissbell numerous times before and have always enjoyed the sea views. On my latest trip, I decided to stay at Swissbell once again hoping for a sea view, but unfortunately, I did not get it. Consequently, my experience at Swissbell hotel was similar to staying at a 1-star hotel in the middle of the city. Regarding the room condition, I believe it's time for the hotel management to replace the carpet as it emits a musty smell. Additionally, the air conditioner was leaking, causing water to seep down to the floor in front of the bathroom's door. I decided to extend my stay for one more night, but the cleaning service failed to show up to clean my room on the second day. I had to call the reception twice to get my room cleaned. A 4-star hotel should demonstrate its quality through its service, ensuring customers have a pleasant stay.

Bathroom towels smells awful. Blanket also smells awful too. 😖

Room was oke, but breakfast taste was not delicious at all. Good for sleep not for foods
