I am in love with Bamberg! And Hotel Nepomuk's location was excellent. I'll definitely be back. My room was very practical, spotless and had a great view onto the river beneath it. Breakfast at "Eckert's" is a MUST. Here again, the best location, tasteful and light ambiance, tasty breakfast with lots of homemade products. Friendly staff and good service.

Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. The breakfasts were extra but were very good and a fantastic waterfront location. The restaurant is clearly very popular as well.

Super location direct on river and in heart of old town. Our room , a superior room, was very modern, spacious and clean. Hotel very organised and one of receptionist's was very helpful: in fact nothing was too much trouble. Location next to brewery also a bonus. Breakfast not included felt wrong; when we did try it one morning, it was expensive and not wortj it although location meant we saw a kingfisher. At times hotel felt a little too business focused soulless.

We had a fantastic stay at Nepomuk! Best breakfast, room, view, service and restaurant. They delivered breakfast to our room w/no extra charge. The view from our room across the canal was really special. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

This hotel has a great website and all the info there is accurate. It's right in the middle of the things you want to see and do in Bamberg yet its quiet and feels a little secluded. For a small hotel, the service and attention to guest needs is outstanding. We couldn't book a room with the "best" view as it wasn't available but the outlook from our room was great with the water flowing below. Driving into the old town is a bit hairy but the staff on the desk were very helpful re parking nearby, directing us to a place just over a bridge from the old town with onsite overnight EV charging. Winner! The onsite restaurant is well worth going to with excellent local food, wine and beer and a great view up the river towards the Rathaus. Bamberg is a spectacular town. We hadn't allocated enough time to see it so staying right in the action was a big bonus - late night and early morning walks helped us make use of every moment in this unique place.

The view from our room was amazing. There was plenty of space and lots of closet space, which is not the case everywhere. There was no refrigerator in the room but the staff was happy to put our food in the hotel's fridge while we were there. The bed was reasonably comfortable but by the third night my back complain just a little. We were worried about Street noise because our room was right over the restaurant patio, but that turned out not to be any problem. We worried about the room not having air conditioning, but that was not a problem either because the weather was nice. If you can, take the train into Bamberg rather than driving. Parking is very expensive and the narrow streets are difficult to navigate around the bikes and pedestrians. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we would stay there again.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel in July when the weather was very warm. Such a lovely welcome, and our room was spacious, well-appointed, and very cool despite the heat. There's no air conditioning, but being in the middle of the river Regnitz keeps the room at the perfect temperature. The sound of the river rocked us to sleep at night. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the river was delicious and my dairy intolerance well catered for. We had one evening meal in the restaurant and it was delicious. I can higny recommend the duck. After busy days walking and sightseeing, the hotel was the perfect place to rest. An added bonus is that one of the best breweries in Bamberg is right by the hotel. I honestly count this as one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in worldwide. Thank you. We will recommend this hotel to friends and family and will return.

I cannot recommend this hotel, highly enough. It is in a very charming area of Bamberg, and the staff are lovely and professional. In addition, the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are light and airy with a beautiful view, and on the water to boot. I very much enjoyed it Bavarian dinner, and of course breakfast and coffee the next day. The only downside was that I could not stay longer. When I travel to Bavaria in the future, I will absolutely include a visit to this hotel. It was amazing and the photos are memorable.

Friendly and very helpfull receptionist, unloading the luggage in front of the hotel, than driving the car to a close by parking garage, spotless clean room, quiet room only the river underneath the hotel is making a pleasant sound fantastic view from the room overlooking Bamberg, perfect located you can walk from the hotel into town and see all the impressive inner city buildings,
