The hotel is nice and staff are friendly enough, plus it has a lot of useful extra features i.e sauna, pool, spa/massage rooms, plus the hotel rooms are kept to a good standard too. However, the main downfall is the breakfast. Given the queue for the main gondola in Bansko gets extremely busy (to avoid any 1hr+ waits you need to be there by 8am latest, not to mention the 30 mins it takes to get to the top once you’re actually on the lift itself). As such, ideally you want to be eating eating breakfast for 7am to give yourself enough time to eat and then head out to collect ski equipment and join the queue. Annoyingly, breakfast here doesn’t start until 7:30 which is a problem in itself, however the bigger problem is that it’s stone cold - even if you’re the first to arrive for 7:30!
